Mia and Anna on reception were very helpful. They advised us on trips and booked one we wanted to do. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The location was within walking distance of all the attractions we wanted to see.. We returned a few days later for one night and both our rooms had been upgraded which was a lovely surprise.

Poor soundproofing. Lots of noise from within the hotel and outside on the street. Although breakfast is served till 10 when we went at 9.30 there was no crockery, cutlery, coffee, fruit etc. We had to ask for everything we wanted item by item. Overall though this is a great little hotel and well situated.

If your after a hotel with charm and is set in a perfect location,then look no further than the 'hanoi chic boutique' hotel. Once you arrive you'll be greeted with open arms from either jasmin or tri. I decided on queen deluxe with a balcony. It was very clean, spacious, big comfortable bed and tastefully decorated. Jasmin and tri will answer any of your questions regarding places to eat, landmarks to see and will even guide you in the right direction. Would i recommend this hotel.. 100%

The staff were a true highlight. Right from arriving until leaving we were met with smiles, recommendations and thoughtfulness. We haven’t experienced this kind of hospitality on our travels so far, and it was really heartwarming to get to know them. We loved the location, on a quieter street in a busy part of town (the old quarter). You never have to walk too far to get anywhere, so you can pop back anytime to get some rest and quiet. The breakfast was also perfect, I’d recommend getting to dining room earlier in the morning to avoid the end of breakfast rush! We were guilty of that a couple times. Our room wasn’t one with a balcony, but we still found it great. Perfectly suitable for a 6 night stay.

The staff at this hotel were exceptional - so friendly, helpful and inviting - we felt right at home! The rooms were very clean and had comfortable beds. The location was unbeatable, right in the Old Quarter close to bars, restaurants, cafes and attractions. The staff unexpectedly upgraded our rooms free of charge, I ended up in a large room with a huge terrace, it was really beautiful and so appreciated. Would come stay here again next time I'm in Hanoi - highly recommend!

This is easily the best hotel I've stayed in the whole of Asia. Rose (should be the owner) is the most kind, most generous and most responsive host I've ever encountered in my 30 years of travel. She literally ensures everything is on time and right for you as her guest. I am most impressed. Her staff, Anna is another great host. Her concern for your well being there is genuine. These 2 are responsible and super duper helpful in all kinds of way. They literally make our stay there most enjoyable. The hotel itself is beautiful and charming, rooms were big and beautiful. Aircon was cold, shower facilities all working well. Balcony was also spacious and had great views to see the ongoing Vietnamese lifestyle. Thrilled. Location was perfect, smack in the middle of the old quarters with food everywhere and all sorts. There was a blackout in my kids rooms on the 2nd night and they immediately switched them to another room without delay. Most impressed. This is a hotel that is definitely worth staying in, either for the place, location, breakfast or people. Especially the people. They can make or break your day. These folks made our day and I am just glad we decided on the Hanoi CHIC Boutique hotel. Go ahead and book.

Special mention of the staff: Anna and Rose at the reception; all the bellboys, the breakfast staff... Midday or midnight... Always welcome you with a smile. Ever ready to help you figure out the city. Anna gave us a hard copy map and marked out the 'must see, must do' places and activities. Rose offered us a private car when we left for the airport on our last day. She even pointed out a minimal surcharge if we settled the bill by using a card. Simply super service and genuine care for the guests. The location is outstanding; all major attractions are within walking distance, plenty of dining and coffee options, every street has at least one convenience store.

Not much to dislike. The overall cleanliness could be improved. The breakfast items need to be labelled as foreign tourists may not be familiar with the ingredients or dishes. No major complaints at all.

I had a brilliant stay at Hanoi Chic Boutique Hotel. It was very clean, great location with walking distance to all of Hanoi. The staff are super helpful, supportive and knowledgeable, in particular Ana and Rose were always on hand to help me. The doorman always helped and offered a cold glass of water when in reception. I booked the Ha Giang Loop through the hotel and they let me leave my big bag securely at the hotel whilst I was away for 3 days - the loop was also amazing! I would recommend anyone to stay here during their time in Hanoi.

The staff was very friendly and eager to help us. Anna has helped us to organize our visits in Hanoi. She has been an amazing hostess and also gave us insights for the rest of our trip in Vietnam. The hotel is in a very good location to experience the buzzing life of the city. It is possible to join one of the organized tours to see various places around the city at a good price. They can also arrange spa services which we enjoyed a lot with my wife. Overall, it has been a very relaxing experience that alleviated our daily stress making an ideal start for our holidays!

The staff and location were excellent! I was honest with the staff about my rating, and they were so thoughtful in giving me half off my airport transfer.

Given that the hotel is older and space is limited, I understand that they are not able to offer specific amenities like a larger space or local coffee for breakfast. However, the space could use a serious deep cleaning and slight renovation on fixtures.

The hotel is located in the old quarter with shops and eateries nearby. Yet it was quiet. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We had requested for late checkout, and even though our room wasn't available, they gave us a smaller room at a reasonable price. The new room is generally cheaper than our original Superior double room but isn't as good, especially in terms of ventilation. So I'd recommend getting the Superior double room if possible.

Maybe the bathroom may be small for some, but living in Singapore, we're used to it anyway.
