location is nice. staff polite although except main recepcionist they don't speak any english. breakfast is fine but scarce if you go for european version.

we didn't get the room we reserved. beds were very hard and we love hard beds but this was like sleeping on the rock. after 3 nights we were exhausted. toilet is outdated.

This hotel was probably my favorite part of my stay in Hanoi. Staff were so kind, I was greeted every time I passed the reception desk ensuring such a welcoming stay. On arrival, Quien coordinated with my airport transfer to meet me and help bring my luggage inside. A gesture I appreciated as I was unfamiliar with the rules of Hanoi traffic on my first day! The room and hotel was exceptionally clean. Within a few steps of the entrance you have a mix of modern cafes or traditional Vietnamese restaurants at very affordable prices. Train Street is within minutes walking but located behind the neighborhood ensuring you avoid any busyness /noise. I easily walked to the city centre daily to visit many touristic attractions like the Note cafe, the lake, shows, old quarter etc. Staff were so accommodating at extending my stay after I commenced my booking. The mini fridge was stocked with ice cold water which was heavenly after long hot days touring around. The prices for the mini fridge were extremely affordable also!

The only downsides for me were the cash payment for the hotel (a trend across Vietnam) but overall I really recommend this hotel. Also there could be a shelf in the shower to easily grab shampoos etc. instead of on the floor.

This location on a quieter pedestrian crossroad of streets was perfect to acclimatise to the hecticness of Hanoi. Lovely breakfast options ranged from local street food including steamed pork and mushroom spring rolls (our fave) to freshly baked treats. Great range of coffees. Opposite was a lady who made bun Cha and was our fave dish of our trip. The hotel is older style and basic but our rooms were fairly large with AC and chairs to sit in. On the edge of old quarter with pedestrian lights on the two main routes to the lake made this a 10/10 location! The staff were always helpful. We absolutely loved our stay here!!

The rooms are older so not for people who only like fancy hotels.

Exceptional service from staff. The owner helped arrange tour services, providing many options to choose from. Staff were always friendly and eager to help with every request. I had an early flight leaving and was able to check out at 6:30am. A simple free breakfast is provided. Location was excellent. It’s on a pedestrian street filled with restaurants so it’s easy to pop down for a bite without the stress of crossing the motorcycle-filled roads. It’s close to train street and easily walkable to other central locations like Hoan Kiem lake.

Some light stains visible on towels and sheets.

Location is perfect, it's a lovely little alley full of restaurants and cafes. Just be aware that cars and buses cannot travel the alley, so you will need to walk to get there. The room was reasonably nice, small but enough room to move around and not feel cramped. The bathroom was clean and functional, The staff could not have been more helpful, always happy to answer questions, sort out my laundry, return the jacket I left downstairs at breakfast.

Only one tiny window in the smaller room. TV not able to be plugged into power (not that I really needed it). The shower was very small and hard to move around in even for my skinny body. It also didn't drain very fast, causing a lot of overflow into the bathroom floor.

Honestly, we liked everything about it. We had already tried the amazing cafe downstairs a couple of times and jumped at the chance to stay at the Hotel upon our return to Hanoi. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, even after our stay. The room was great and our stay was inexpensive. The location was perfect for us, close to the train station and set amid gentrified pedestrian streets lined with cafes, bars and restaurants. Our favourite food was a from the authentic street food joint a couple of metres across the road, so we were very happy. We can't wait to return to Hanoi, and when we do, we will be staying at Hanoi Street Hotel.

Absolutely nothing.

The staff were impeccable, especially when I forgot my work backpack outside and they secured it for me... The room, although dated and lacking soundproofing, still met expectations. Good old earplugs solve it! With its convenient location, comfortable beds, clean sheets and towels, a fridge, hairdryer, and elevator access, this place is about as perfect as it gets! The breakfast is a good selection, and the cafe serves excellent coffee. There are so many restaurants around, it's great for foodies!

Very good value for money, central location for the old town and walking distance to major attractions in Hanoi. Lots of cafes and bars. Train street just around the corner. Breakfast of a hot or cold drink, with a croissant or other confectionery, which was good start to the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice hot shower, air conditioned room and a comfortable bed.

Room a little dated, but very clean A kettle and cups in the room, but would have been good to have a few tea or coffee bags.

Hotel is located in the old quarter of Hanoi and it is very close to train street and other attractions in the city centre. Room was clean and big enough. Vietnamesse breakfast is server everyday and cafe is located in the lobby. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Waterflow in the shower is weak but I guess it is a problem around the whole country. Drinking water in the fridge comes with a small charge which only you find out at the check out.

The staff at this hotel are absolutely angelic, and they saw to our every need, helping us organize our wonderful stay in Hanoi. The breakfast every morning was fantastic along with the coffee as well.

The property is located off the main street in one of Hanoi’s many alleys which are filled with restaurants and shops. We ate several meals right near the hotel enjoying the fantastic local fair. You can’t go wrong with the Hanoi Street hotel.
