We loved our large room with a huge bathroom, and a balcony with a view. This was our first time in Vietnam and so glad we picked Soleil Boutique Hotel. They arranged transportation from the airport to the hotel and were very good about communicating details so we didn't miss finding our driver. I loved going out on our hotel balcony to enjoy the view and the action of the city. Breakfast every morning was great with lots of variety of food. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always willing to help and answer any questions you may have. We enjoyed cocktails at the SkyBar and cooling off in the rooftop pool with the panoramic view. So nice to have the pool after a long hot day of sightseeing. The hotel is just minutes away from Train Street so we went there twice, at night and during the day to get both experiences. We ate delicious Hot Pot just across the Street, to the left, and down a smaller street. We enjoyed spa treatments at the hotel with Anna and Hannah with Leah making sure everything went well. It was easy to get a spa appointment at the time we wanted. Make sure you arrive to check-out in the morning a bit early before you have to leave for your next place. They get busy in the morning and they need to check your room before you can leave. Hanoi is noisy so just know that depending on the room location, you are not going to have a room that is totally quiet because the noise of the city comes through. Lots of sirens and honking. That's just the Hanoi experience. The city does mostly quiet down after midnight and you will be so exhausted from walking and the heat that sleep should come easily. We walked everywhere. It was nice to walk around the city and explore for a few hours. Then have a beautiful hotel to go back to, to shower off the sweat and change clothes, and go out again to experience something different. Love, love, my time in Hanoi, and at Soleil Boutique hotel.

This is the first time I have ever written a review but then it's the first time I've stayed in a hotel where I was made to feel like royalty. I stayed for a week with my son, if you book this hotel you will not be sorry. The situation is perfect, right in the heart of the old quarter and within walking distance of everywhere you want yo visit. The staff were just amazing, particularly Cara and Chloe at reception, who were so attentive and thoughtful, I would also give a shout out to Minh, who worked in the dining room and rooftop bar, he knew what we liked to drink at breakfast and bought it over to us straight away. One morning, when my son didn't come down for breakfast, they made a tray of all the things he liked and took it up to the room for him. All the staff gave a personalised service and did everything they could to make our stay memorable. Truly a 'boutique' hotel.

The reception and door staff were so welcoming and helpful. Genuinely wanted to assist in anyway possible. The spa was beautiful and relaxing, very organised and professional. Breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful. The pool and bar was a lovely area too, also with very helpful staff.

The only slight criticism I have is that the std double rooms we had were pretty small. They had everything you needed but it was pretty impossible to unpack/organise clothing as we had big cases. If only small luggage you will be fine. When I asked staff if they had anything bigger they showed me two other rooms that were both much more suitable (suites I believe) but they were not available for our full stay so just stayed put and managed.

Great location in the Old Town. Staff were outstanding - very friendly and helpful. Hotel has its own spa - my massage was great. Close to Ho Hoan Kiem park with its lake, just around the corner from Train Street, fantastic food options nearby, and walkable distance to Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum. The hotel itself has a rooftop pool and bar - great after a hot day wandering the streets. Excellent views of the hustle and bustle below, and watching stormclouds come in! Breakfast buffet was very good - plenty of options, vietnamese and other cuisines.

The room wasn't huge, but certainly big enough for one person to get around easily. I don't want to spend much time in the hotel room while travelling, so it wasn't an issue for me.

Perfect location 2 minute walk from Train Street and close to everything you need. Walking distance to lake, shops, bars etc Chloe the most amazing helpful guest relations girl booked us everything we needed including a golf trip. Special mentions to Cloud, Allie, Duk and Quan, all staff went above and beyond. Breakfast lovely and fresh Pool nice with bar Rooms comfortable Taxis available and cheap

Nothing didn't like just need to appreciate the hotels have limited space as most buildings are high and thin it's not an issue at all just different to what some maybe used to Would definitely book here again

We had such a wonderful stay at this property! It was our first time visiting Hanoi and they organised a beautiful arrangement in our room for our anniversary. The entire staff were extremely friendly and helpful and gave us so many recommendations for places to eat and sites to see! Great location as it was very central to everything. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and all their facilities and the room itself was perfect and very clean. The hotel was very kind in allowing us to use the pool facilities a day after we checked out too. Will definitely come back to stay at this property if we come to Hanoi again! I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were all friendly. The room was great, air con worked perfectly. The rooms were cleaned very well each day. The location is great. Not deep on Old Quarter, but enough to have access to both worlds (old/new) with ease. The stand out staff member was Allie, she was so personal and respectful at the same time. Which is not easy, as being to personal can get awkward. Allie has the right balance and made my stay jump from a 4 start to a 5 star review. Big thanks Allie 😁

Everything. Great amenities, awesome breakfast choices, the location was perfect and within walking distance to old quarter places of interest including train street. Room was very big, absolutely gorgeous bathroom and shower, beds very plush and comfortable that we ended up sleeping 12 hours straight once!!! Staff were amazing especially the front desk Ms.Cara who carefully walked through with us what we needed to know and Mr Peter for getting in touch with me in advance for tour bookings to Ha Long bay. We have just spent a wonderful 4 nights at Soleil Boutique Hotel in Hanoi. I had done a lot of work looking on social media for reviews on Hanoi properties in the Old Quarter and this property always rated highly. We booked a suite room with Balcony, a large room on the corner of the 9th floor with a small balcony, table and two chairs providing a great view over the streets below. The room was a generous size with a large well appointed bathroom which included a bath and was very comfortable . The water pressure was not very strong however and the temperature not as hot as we would prefer. The king bed was comfortable with really nice pillows. There is a mini bar serviced daily with beer, soft drinks and nibbles at very reasonable prices . Breakfast was excellent and had a variety of eastern and western dishes. There is a pool and bar on the top floor which we didn’t get to use as the weather was not suitable during our stay, but looked great. The location is fantastic with a 30 minute walk taking you to Hoan Kiem lake, all the bars and restaurants around the 1 square kilometre area of the Old Quarter and close to the French Quarter. You can exchange money at the hotel but the staff also recommended a place a few minutes walk away. There are a couple of mini markets close by for supplies and laundry can be arranged by the hotel on a per kilo rate which was a great service The Soleil Spa, situated in the hotel’s basement, was very nicely appointed, calm and provided a pleasing menu of options. My wife selected the two hour Soleil signature massage and was very impressed with the professionalism, skill and kindness of her therapist Henny. Finally, the staff. All staff provided world’s best customer service , always smiling, always offering advice. The staff at breakfast each morning were always on hand to take orders for eggs, carry your tea or coffee or accomodate any dietary requirements.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel! Peter and his front desk team were fantastic—always welcoming, professional, and eager to help. Peter, in particular, went above and beyond to assist us in navigating the complexities of organising our day trips, making our experience seamless and enjoyable. The entire hotel staff was exceptionally polite and professional, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. Our room was fantastic—elegantly designed, spacious, and with a classy feel that added to the overall comfort. The hotel’s location is another major plus. It’s situated in a great spot in the city, close to many must-visit places, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. Overall, a superb experience, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
