"I stayed 12 nights in Vietnam touring many 4 and 5-star hotels, and Silk Path Hotel in Hanoi was by far the best. The hotel is exceptionally clean with very kind and professional staff. They anticipated my needs and provided everything I required, even without asking. They gave thoughtful gifts to my family and offered full support in every way. The food was also excellent. Everything

The customer service was excellent at the hotel, the spa, steam room and sauna was amazing and we got it to ourselves which was really special. We moved from another hotel just down the road because it was incredibly noisy, they put us directly beneath the kitchen I was suprised how quiet the silk path was compared to it, it was the right move to change hotels.

There was a few small issues with the room, the a/c wasn’t working but the staff gave us a small fan to use which was nice and the toilet was leaking, but nothing to dampen the trip, if I was to stay in the warmer months I would probably avoid the smaller room we got as it would get a bit stuffy.

Breakfast was good with ample choices - we noticed even bigger choices when the Americans were in town - we were happy with what we had. The dining area was clean and well set out. We had dinner there one evening and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were attentive and friendly. We received a lovely little gift when we left, which was quite touching.

I think the only let down is having the shower within the bath. I find as I get older it's not quite so easy stepping in and out.

Silk Path Hanoi is a large (130 rooms), modern building centrally located in the Old Quarter. It's conveniently located near umpteen restaurants and coffee shops, and about 15-20 minutes walk in any direction to the major sights. Even the most basic rooms are spacious and contained everything we needed. Breakfasts were a feast with dishes from both east and west. However, the best thing about this hotel is its staff. All members of staff, from porters to breakfast staff, to those at the front desk, are encouraged to chat to the customers and help and advise in any way they can. As a consequence, we felt so very welcomed and at home. Our itinerary included 5 separate visits to Hanoi, and after the first visit we were always upgraded to a better room, after of course being greeted like old friends at reception! I was very sorry to say goodbye for the last time.

The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good location. We would recommend to friends and family.

A small point but we thought the breakfast coffee needed improving and suggest that a hotel of this high quality should have a bean to cup coffee machine (or good quality pods).

The hotel is on a main shopping street and close to the train street and hoan kiem lake. Even though the hotel is on a Main Street the hotel is very quiet inside. The breakfast buffet has a lot of variety. The staff is very helpful to help you choose activities, a spa or restaurant

Hotel lobby was clean, staff was friendly and approachable. Hotel room was a bit small yet bed and bath were very clean. Lights and TV were connect by one big control next to the bed. Wifi was strong and smooth. Overall everything is beyond my expectations.

Breakfast I would say it was a little bit pricey for Vietnamese customers. Around 450,000 VND per person but not a lot of choice of food. I used to have breakfast at a 6 stars hotel but buffet used to be only 700,000 VND. Also, when I arrived, the reception staff said even though I didn’t register for breakfast buffet I can still able to have breakfast buffet every morning yet did not make it clear that we would be charge since it’s not free.

Very friendly and helpful staff , 10/10 location walking distance to all the main attractions, lots of food options , spas, shopping, lake, cafes near by! Room was specious, I was on the 3rd floor it was quiet and the bed was comfortable!

Nothing really apart from the view which was a wall but I didn’t mind at all !

I did not have breakfast included with my room, The issue was that the buffet was the only option in the restaurant but it did not suit me, to much for the amount I was going to eat. The staff was great in dealing with this.

It is the issue of the breakfast. I feel that guests should have the option of the buffet or the chance to order a meal they would prefer. Continental or otherwise.

I thought the property was very good and in a great location.

The only things that were an issue and they were only minor. We had trouble with the safe a couple of times, but the staff were quick to come and help fix the problem, the other thing was the WI-FI was very weak in our room at a certain time of the day.
