Room: looked exactly the same in website photos. Beautiful, bed very comfortable, there is smart TV. Love the flooring on the room. Bathroom: Shower is big, water pressure is very strong, plenty of hot water. Toiletries are provided: shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, hand washing gel, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving kit, etc. There is a bidet, which we loved. Spotless and clean. Breakfast: There are Asian and Western choices in the buffet. There’s fried rice, veggies, noodles, tofu, bacon, sausage, different kinds of bread, cereal, marmalade, eggs, and many more. One can also made to order pancakes, omelettes, and pho included in the breakfast. We enjoyed coming down to breakfast every day. Staff: Kudos to the staff, they are all amazing! Amanda, Tracey, and Harry at the front desk made our stay extra special with their recommendations for day tours, money changers, restaurants, etc. They are always smiling and happy to help. We highly recommend Hanoi Calista Hotel to everyone planning to visit Hanoi in the future.

You get so much more value for your money. We booked for 6 nights and everything went well from the room, amenities and especially the staff. They are all friendly, competent, and ready to help when you need assistance on anything. Special thanks to Ms AMANDA she is so kind and friendly and can give a lot of suggestions. Our room is cozy comfortable and always clean. Unfortunately i was not able to take photo of room. Since our flight was in the morning, we left at 530am and they prepared for us take away breakfast! The staffs during breakfast are also kind.

The staff were always amazing. Friendly smiles and eager to hear about your day. Lots of good advice for local meals but honestly hard to find a bad meal here. Location is ideal. Close to train street but also plenty of exciting streets to explore. Close to sword lake, night market and the french quarter which is about a 15 min walk unless you get distracted with the many sites and smells along the way. Room was great. We had the 2 bedroom apartment. The children (4 and 7) shared a bed which was more than large enough. Plenty of space and the laundry was a welcome addition as the children would change a few times a day. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Hanoi.

Nice hotel just outside Hanoi city center. It's easy to walk to all the main attractions. The reception staff was very nice and helpful, even before we arrived they helped us arrange a food tour and a trip to Lan Ha bay and transportation from the hotel back to the airport. The hotel was fine, but in my opinion, not deserving of a 9,4/10 as it currently stands.

My room was rather small (my parents' room was considerably bigger). Breakfast was around the corner and not in the actual hotel and whilst you could order pancakes and eggs, it was rather basic and didn't have a lot of choice.

Excellent location in the Old Quarter. Hebeca Roasters cafe for coffee is directly across in the small lane. Another nice lane is behind the hotel with a few small places to eat and the Hanoi Social Club for drinks, snacks or a meal. The hotel staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful - thank you to Amanda, Tracy Grace, William and all the team. They can arrange a private car, or seats on a shuttle bus - for your next destination (eg Sapa, Ninh Binh etc). Or book tickets for other activities (tours, Hop On Hop Off Bus). The hotel is located off the busy main road in a side lane - be sure to note this actual address the hotel will send to you (18 Hoi Vu). As the formal address listed for the hotel is slightly different (listed on Hang Bong). The hotel is a 12 minute walk from the train station (as you exit the station - go left along the main road, or take a taxi or Grab car).

(Not a dislike, just some advice for planning a holiday). Vietnam still prefers cash in most small businesses. And hotels. There's a fee if you use your credit card at hotels (3% to 5%). So come prepared - many local shops will exchange US or Australian dollars at a good rate.

The location of the hotel is excellent as it is about a 10 minute walk from Hoan Kiem lake in the centre of Hanoi. The hotel is down a small road just off the main road so it is quiet in the evenings. We had some great breakfasts at the hotel and there was always plenty of fresh fruit available. The hotel is very flexible and tries hard to help the different needs of its guests. We actually stayed at the hotel for four nights but visited Halong bay part way through our time in Hanoi. The hotel were happy to store baggage if you were on a trip such as to Sapa or Halong bay for a few days. On our first stay at Hanoi Calista Hotel, we stayed on the second floor but were woken up early by people leaving early for a trip. We spoke to the staff and they changed our room for our second stay. A big thank you to Miss Amanda for all her help!

The rooms on the second floor are open to the reception area, if you are a light sleeper you may find you are disturbed by guests going on early morning trips. We spoke to Miss Amanda and she changed our room for the rest of our stay.

The service staff were extremely friendly and nice to us. When we were having issues with entering our room as the door lock ran out of battery, they immediately helped us to resolve the problem. When we needed to check in early after coming back from Sapa, Amanda also assisted us to secure a half-day rate. Special shout-out to Grace and the other front-desk staff whose name we unfortunately did not get to learn as they constantly welcomed us back every time we left to walk around the city and it was very easy to make small talk with them. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable. Very good experience staying here.

The soundproofing and air-conditioning could be better, but are already quite decent

Note- We booked the Calista hotel but they put (upgraded?) us in the apartment suite not the actual Callista hotel room so our experience might be different (we never actually saw the hotel rooms). The apartment suite was great though! room was very spacious and clean. It offered a washing machine which was a nice add!

We weren’t real sure if it was an upgrade or not moving to the apartment and weren’t asked if we wanted the upgrade. All things considered though it was a good room for the price.

This was our first visit to Hanoi, and we had excellent and highly impressive hospitality service. Our room was kept clean, smelt fresh, and very neat throughout our stay. The staff was constantly checking if we were okay and tried to cater to all our needs. They shared great tips and recommendations. The highlight of our stay was their friendly, polite, warm-hearted service with smiles throughout. We appreciate all and a special thanks to Alex, William, and the staff.

It would be hard to think of something if everything was great.

The front desk staff members (shoutout to Tracy, Grace, Harry, Daisy, and the doormen too) were absolutely wonderful. They're super kind and helpful. They took care of us from the moment we arrived to the time we had to leave. They went above and beyond with their service and hospitality. The breakfast is very good with lots of choices. There is also a shower on the first floor for those who have late night flights.

The facilities need updating and some items need replacing (e.g. kettle in the room). The cleanliness could use more care because other areas, like thr desk, were dusty.
