When we were there, it was still called the Light Hotel. Without a doubt one of the best experiences in recent years. When we arrived they were friendly and compassionate. After a long flight, they gave us something to drink and a snack. "Just sit back and relax. We'll take care of the paperwork." No stress. Perfect. The genuine smiles and friendliness were great. There was some construction work, but they had scheduled short time windows for that in which they worked. Very friendly and focused on you as a visitor. Perfect breakfast. But beware: it can be crowded.

Our room was a bit dusty in the corners.

Hotel has a good location on the border of the old quarter so we could walk to all sightseeing spots from the hotel. Breakfast was great with many dishes to choose from in the buffet. People on reception are very friendly and speak English fluently, so communication was easy. Lily on reception organized for us a trip to Ha Long Bay which we enjoyed a lot. I had to travel to/from airport few times because my companion was on a different plane. Traveling from the airport via a taxi organized by the hotel was much more convenient for me than using Grab (local Uber) because parking area in the airport is somewhat complex and hectic.

Great location, freindly, caring professional staff, swimming pool bar area on roof fabulous in the summer heat. Breakfast excellent with a very attentive chef, specious, spotless room with very comfortable bed, all facilities to make the stay indulgent and enjoyable. I upgraded from a previously booked hotel, due to my desire for a pool, more than happy I did. I was infortunatly 🫢 hit by a car on a crossing, minor injury, and the management and staff couldn’t do enough to escort me to the International French Hospital, excellent facility, and were all genuinely delighted when no bones broken, insisting I celebrate with a Margarita at the roof top bar, good choice! On daily entry to foyer, a beautiful aroma welcomed guests inside…Would warmly recommend….

Only comment would be more chairs around the pool, but due to lack of space surrounding the pool, not possible, though plenty just up a few steps…

I had an absolutely exceptional stay at the Champion Hanoi Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the reception and door staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with anything I needed truly stood out. The hotel itself was spotless – the rooms were kept to an impeccable standard of cleanliness and comfort. The morning breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, and the staff made sure everything was fresh and well-presented. The rooftop sky bar and pool were perfect places to relax during the day, offering a great atmosphere and views of the city. I could not fault any part of my stay. Even when I accidentally booked the wrong dates, the staff quickly rectified the issue and happily extended my stay without any hassle. They were always accommodating, whether it was helping with phone charging, laundry, or other personal needs. This hotel truly exceeded all expectations, and I will absolutely recommend Champion Hanoi Hotel to my friends and family. I cannot wait to return on my next trip to Hanoi!

Nothing at all

Clean, stylish and modern interior. The staff were lovely and greeted me every day, even the cook. I had a long stay of around a month and they were really helpful the whole time. The location is great, walking distance of the old quarter without the crazy traffic and people everywhere. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

There is ongoing construction work of the rooftop bar which was not mentioned to us at any point before arrival. The pool was still open for use most days, with some interruptions but otherwise fine.

Located close to the Old and French Quarters, this is a great place to stay if you want to be in the bustling heart of Ha Noi. Our room was large and spacious, plus clean. All of the staff are very helpful. The breakfast was excellent and you can order freshly cooked eggs, omelette, etc. The pool is quite small but has great views across the city and there is a changing room / shower with free towels. Even after we checked out of our room, we were able to leave our luggage and could make use of the pool and there is bar you can use too. We even received a small leaving gift. A midday check-out time is generous compared to other hotels. Overall, recommend if you want to visit central Ha Noi.

We got our room for good deal and it had some small windows but these were blacked out (we saw this used for other buildings in the city). If semi-opaque windows could be installed it would let in a little natural light, even if there is no view. We recommend only book a room with a city view. Also, when we stayed the pool bar was being refitted. It will be great when completed but maybe check with hotel first as it was noisy above the pool due to works. If the rooftop bar had been finished, would have scored 9 for the hotel.

Our other hotel cancelled our reservation the day we were due to stay, but in hindsight, a good thing they did, as our stay at the Champton was brilliant! The staff were attentive, helpful and willing to move mountains to accommodate. The room was larger than expected, and had everything you needed. The bar and restaurant were also good for the size of the hotel and everything you want for a city break. The location was also great, really central and lots around and easy to get places. Would recommend!

Doors could be more soundproofed as there were some really noisy and inconsiderate other guests, but not a fault of the hotel at all, just feedback as it would be an easy fix (I hope)! This is a new revamped hotel and it is doing really well.

Unfortunately during our stay the pool bar was being renovated. This meant people were squeezed into a small space in the pool area and the sound of hammering could be heard all day. This was disappointing as we specifically wanted a pool to give us a bit of down time after spending the day sightseeing - had we have been told about this prior we may have moved somewhere else as it wasn’t a great experience

Great location and the staff were super friendly! We checked out to head to Ha Long Bay for 2 nights and when we arrived back in Hanoi, we had 5-6 hours before we needed to head to the airport and even though we weren’t staying there anymore, we were allowed to leave our bags whilst we did a little bit more exploring! The roof top pool was also fab.

Breakfast was included as part of our stay, it was a little hectic at busy time with limited seating and having to wait for food to be refilled.

We loved to stay at Champtons Hanoi. it is very good located and the staff was GREAT. They welcome you with a fresh drink and some sweets. then they did an upgrade in the room and they offered us a late check out the next day. which it is very, very appreciated since after visiting the city in the hot weather is great to have a shower and then go to the airport. Breakfast and quality of the food is good. The restaurant as well very delicious and quality standards of food is great.

The swimming pool is very small and then it was closed for renovation.
