Fabulous hotel in the centre of Hanoi. The staff were very helpful, pleasant and polite Brian and Louise on Reception were brilliant in helping with good restaurants and trips etc. breakfast was superb with a good choice although you did have to order the day before so it was freshly cooked. We will definitely stay here if we ever visit Hanoi again in the future. In the evening the street outside changes from selling housewares and becomes a ‘fast food’ road with groups of friends / families cooking the most amazing looking food on a small gas bbq’s. The hotel is well soundproof so the noise didn’t keep us awake and by morning the street was clean and housewares were all back in place. Fantastic.

We liked everything about this hotel but one negative was the Wi-Fi. We were on the 5th floor and Wi-Fi didnt reach us.

Good breakfast. Room had of good size. Staff were helpful. The access to the hotel is via a lane which is safe. During the day there are little old ladies there and at night there are outdoor restaurants close by. So it feels safe. Its on theoutdkirts of the old quarter so its quite.

The beds are so comfortable here and the shower pressure really great too with hot water. The room was really spacious and the staff were lovely! We only had the breakfast one of the mornings but both enjoyed it too.

I would warn anyone who wants a decent nights sleep NOT to go for the budget double room - these are all located near or on the ground floor and both nights we stayed we were woken up multiple times in the night and then early morning by people talking really loudly coming in and out. One time it sounded like they were stood outside of our room having a full on conversation - kinda felt like a hostel. Real shame as it was a nice hotel but we barely got any decent sleep and left really tired. Probably worth booking one further up/ a deluxe room in the hotel if you value your sleep.

We had a great stay at Marigold Hotel! The location is quiet and safe, just a short walk from the Old Quarter. The staff were super friendly and gave helpful tips on food, sights, and massages. Our room was spacious, bright, and the aircon worked perfectly during the summer heat. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and at night the alley turns into a local BBQ spot—great for a quick, affordable dinner. Highly recommend!

Initially, I was looking for accommodation in the Old Quarters area, as it's the main pickup point for many tours. However, after reading several reviews, I noticed that many hotels in the area had small rooms and no windows. That's when I found Marigold Hotel, which is located just 2 km from the Old Quarter area! The room I stayed in was very clean, with large windows, exactly as shown in photo. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they spoke good English, which is not so common in Hanoi. The breakfast had options of Vietnamese and continental cuisine, with complimentary fruit and coffee. The hotel is tucked down a small lane (about 50 meters off the main road), so taxis don't drop you directly at the front, but it's just a quick 2-minute walk, so no complaints. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Marigold Hotel and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay near Hanoi.

The only downside I experienced was a 3.3% surcharge for credit card payments, which may be a common practice in Vietnam, but it’s worth noting.

We stayed for 3 nights and it was amazing. The hotel is located in the Old Quarter so you can walk and visit the local markets, experience the night market on the weekends and if you are looking to book excursions, it's convenient since they only do pick up in the Old Quarter. The staff at Marigold was delightful, I came down with the flu and without asking, they saw that I was coughing and immediately they came to me, gave me some tea, and was always asking if I was doing ok. For breakfast, I had Pho noodle soup which they said would help me get better. We loved it here. I definitely recommend staying here. This has nothing to do with the hotel, but there are sooo many bikes, you have to be careful and walk safely.

Staff are very welcoming and helpful, always there to greet you and provided a list of tips and recommendations on arrival. They organised driver to the airport for us at a good price compared to grab. Big and modern rooms that are very clean, nice bathroom too. Beds are comfortable! Breakfast is nice, limited choices but tasty food. Location is good, easy to walk to main attractions and easy to get a grab bike if you want to go further.

There was construction work happening throughout our stay that started around 6:30am until the late afternoon. This woke me up each morning unfortunately and made it difficult to go back to the room and relax in the afternoon if we wanted to. We could hear this from lower floors and reception so moving rooms didn’t seem to be a good solution. This might just be bad luck during the time we stayed.

This is our second time staying here and it’s always so lovely. We booked this last minute as we had a disaster with the original hotel we booked. The guy at reception checked us in at 3am and his English was great. The rooms are spotless clean and the bed is nice and big and like sleeping on a cloud. There’s a smart TV too and the breakfast is great. We have another night booked to stay here before our flight from Hanoi in a few days. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, it’s great value for money and such a gem of a find!

I was surprised that the hotel was in a small alley way, but the hotel itself is really nice and room were cozy not too big not too small, the bathroom was also very clean. There's also Hot Xa Cafe and train station which is close by, it is within walking distance around 5 mins where we could watch the train. In the morning we had to leave early for Sapa and they even packed our breakfast in take away boxes which was delicious.

I had a small issue with my bathroom door which was hard to close and I think the hotel is a little far from the main centre other than that I had a pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

10 points for them for how they handled the typhoon. We had the strongest tropical typhoon hitting the city, and they took great care of the guests. For what concerns me, they changed my room to a lower - safer - floor and made sure each guest had a simple dinner (which was complimentary). On a regular basis I found the hotel staff to be very elastic and responsive in all the requests I had

Not a biggie, but the area nearby is not exactly the best in city. Had some men catcalling me a couple of times. No an issue at all, but the breakfast is not buffet style. rather simple and basic.
