Staying at Sono Hanoi Hotel made our Vietnam trip truly unforgettable. The staff were exceptional, warm, empathetic, and always ready to help with anything we needed. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to take care of us, arranging airport transfers, helping us book tours, giving thoughtful food and shopping recommendations, and constantly checking in to make sure we were comfortable. They even packed breakfast for us on the day we had to leave early for a day tour, a small gesture that says so much about the kind of hospitality they offer. They also took such great care of my parents, which meant the world to me. It’s rare to find service this genuine, we truly felt at home, not like guests in a hotel, but like we were staying with close friends. The hotel itself is in a perfect location, on a peaceful street just a short walk from the heart of the Old Quarter. It’s quiet enough to relax but close enough to walk to everything. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds are great, but it’s the people who make this place unforgettable. If you’re heading to Hanoi, please don’t think twice. Book your stay at Sono, let them help you plan your tours, follow their food tips, and enjoy the peace of mind that comes from being in such good hands. They’re honest, kind, and truly exceptional hosts. I haven’t stopped raving about them since we got back and would return in a heartbeat.

The staff elevate this hotel to greatness and are amazing. They go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, are always friendly, conversational and smiling. Shout out to ‘Luke’ - you are amazing at your job! The hotel is in a good location in the north of the old quarter. I stayed in the suite and the bed was huge, comfy and clean. I had the option of having the room cleaned daily if I wanted. Free water too. Air condition was effective.

The breakfast included was just okay, but had a good range. I chose to eat out instead as it’s very cheap to do so here. The furniture and fixtures of the room were not the best quality. The floor boards had gaps in and the bathroom was a bit shabby. You get what you pay for. The noise didn’t bother me, but be aware you are on the main road and will hear traffic from early on.

The staff and Ms. Lee. Every staff member makes sure you stay in Hanoi goes well. They have a wealth of knowledge on the tours available.The room has everything you need and clean. Breakfast was I say was plenty and I enjoyed the noodles and fruits the most. The breakfast room is on the top floor with roof top views of Old Quarter.

There are a few quirky things I guess it normal in other hotels in Hanoi that I am not used to. Reusable slippers, notices about not using the towels to clean your shoes, and don't take home other items in the room. I guess the city gets a lot of newbie travelers and take these items home. Do not do take the items and there are plenty of stores walkable form hotel to buy for a couple of dollars. Again not the hotel fault but rather previous guests have done so.

The location was excellent as was the staff. All of the reception staff were very friendly, helpful and did an excellent job of booking excursions that we wanted to do. The room was very large and spacious and water and coffee etc were topped up every morning.

The hotel is marketed as “ sound proofed” but it was quite noisy. I hadn’t even booked a room with a view of the street and the rooms were noisy. You could hear the water tank from the next door room when it was being used. Also the breakfast was average. We had 5 nights there and there was no variety in the self service buffet. The fruit was always good though.

I loved everything about this hotel! The staff were super friendly and helpful at all times, which made the stay even better. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. No noise or anything alike. Also set in a good area in Hanoi. I’ll definitely stay here when I’m back, Thank you! :-)

We started our 2 week Vietnam trip in Hanoi and booked the first two days in The Sono Hanoi. For us it’s the perfect place to stay in Hanoi! Lee has been so nice from the first second, so we felt like home after the long flight! The staff gave us really good advices for sightseeing and delicious restaurants, cafes. We booked a tour to Cao Bang with a private driver and guide at The Sono and what can we say, it was perfect! We really had such a great time, with so many impressions we'll never forget! We really recommend to stay & book the tour at the Sono. Thank you so much guys for making our first trip in Vietnam unforgettable.

Stayed at the Sono Hanoi hotel based off of a friend's recommendation and very glad we did. The hotel is very clean, the rooms nice. We had good night's sleep despite being located in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter craziness. All staff went out of their way to make us a wonderful stay. I love their breakfasts (the yogurt+fruit plate was amazing) and were always checking in with us on our travel plans to make sure we were comfortable. They also recommended many great restaurants. The Sono Hanoi is a great location for exploring the Old Quarter - we rarely ever needed to take a taxi anywhere, just walked everywhere we wanted to go. Their airport pickup/drop-off service was also fantastic and alleviated the headache of finding a reliable cab service at the airport which I understand can be quite a battle.

We booked The Sono Hanoi Hotel in through Booking. Lee is very prompt to respond. I also made enquiries about the Ha Long bay cruise and she gave me advice about that and booked for me at very good price. They kept in touch through whatsapp all the time. The room is simple but welcoming and clean. There is a queen bed, small fridge, TV, coffee and tea making facilities. The bed is very soft, the bathroom is clean and offers shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer etc. The staff offered some suggestions for restaurants. The hotel is close to all the Long Bien & Dong Xuan markets, the Hoan Kiem lake ect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sono Hanoi and would recommend it to anybody looking to experience Hanoi. Despite arriving late, we were welcomed with a smile and felt well looked after from start to finish. we were overwhelmed by the hospitality of the hotel. As first time travellers, we were given lots of useful hints and tips to where to go and what to do next. We booked their tours to Ha Long bay and Ninh Binh, It’s totally great. Our favourite part was the incredible breakfast. Furthermore, the location is fantastic, offering the best of the Old Quarter on your doorstep. We were spoiled for choice for food and drink every evening.
