The reception Alva and Thuy were absolutely outstanding by far the best I've encountered! They were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Their professionalism and attention to detail were truly remarkable.

Unfortunately, the hotel itself was a major letdown. The room was old and lacked basic amenities, with many electrical outlets not working. The noise levels were unbearable, making it difficult to get any rest. While the bed was comfortable, it couldn't make up for the overall poor condition of the room. For the price, I expected much better quality and comfort.

The location is ideal. In the centre of town and walkable to many sights The staff are really sweet and polite They make fresh eggs for you in the morning but when it is busy you would find a long wait for your eggs. The bread at breakfast time was really amazing. Bed is really comfortable Slippers in the room are a great touch The staff at reception saved us from a taxi scam as well. We ordered a grab to bring us back to the hotel at night but the taxi driver at dropoff started shouting at us about something and pointing at the seat as if saying that you have spoiled my seats. What we didn't realise is that the kind receptionist had come out with an umbrella for us as it was raining. As the driver saw the hotel staff he straightaway changed his story and said that he was just asking us to check the back seat but that wasn't at all the case. So he saved us from being scammed. Sorry I can't remember his name but to be fair all of them were really lovely and helpful

There wasn't a chair with the desk which would have made it easier to work the bathroom tiles were clean but a little worn and need a refresh The room lacks enough storage for two people and there are very few hangers in the wardrobe The breakfast is quite basic with not a lot of vegetarian options but plenty of fruits available Bring your own toiletries as there is only one soap and it doesn't smell nice

The hotel was in an amazing location, we had 5 nights in Hanoi which was really fun. The staff were very helpful and shared some tips of places to see and local places to eat and food to try.

Our bathroom sliding door broke on the second night, my husband was stuck in the bathroom but the hotel did send a wonderful man to free him within minutes. We saw the funny side of it but I think my husband was relived to get out of the bathroom. They also had the door fixed within 30 minutes thank you for acting quickly.

I had an incredible experiences in here and the reception team truly made it unforgettable! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff, especially Long and Alvan gave amazing recommendations for local food spots, helped arrange transportation, and shared fascinating stories about the area. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction, making me feel like more than just a guest. This level of service is truly exceptional, and I can't recommend Skylark Hotel enough!

If you are staying in Hanoi for pleasure, then Skylark Hotel is the place to stay. You couldn't ask for a better location in the old quarter , shopping choices all around, tourist bus 5 minutes away, cruise pick up and practically everything happens around this hotel. Breakfast was excellent - good variety of continental and Asian cuisine. From the front office staff to the bell boys to the kitchen staff this is one of the best and friendly service I have ever seen. Front to back they have a gem of a team! I have compliments for Huy

I understand that there is limited space on the rooftop for a pool but it was not what I expected. Any more than 4 people would tax the limited resources. Unfortunately there was a construction crew working each day right outside my room. A bit noisy but at least they packed it in after dark.

The staff were amazing and are the hotels best asset. We organised our transfer (for a fixed fee) with them and they were very accomodating when our luggage failed to show up and we had to wait at the airport until it arrived on the next flight. The location was great and was great value for money.

There was a lot of construction and the noise continued well into the night. The breakfast was appreciated but was pretty average in quality.

We had a room with balcony. Balcony and room were very large, clean and comfotable. Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Central neighborhood for Hanoi sights with lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Excellent steam hotspot restaurant (Ha ha Steem) two blocks away.

The terrace on the roof wasn’t open after breakfast and there was not enough seating around the small pool.

Skylark is a great hotel, located in center of Hanoi, clean, good room, fast WiFi, very tasty breakfast with big choice. Huy and Thuy is very friendly and always happy to help with any questions you may get. I also try their SPA facility (Vietnamese massage) - very good. If you'd like to avoid an unpleasant surprises and get reliable and great value for money place to stay - Skylark is the best choice. Highly recommended.

Breakfast is good and with enough choices. The location is good and within walking distance to the centre where the lake is. The staff is very good particularly Alva at the front desk. I was even able to WhatsApp back to the hotel for information while outside of the hotel. They also prepared a sandwich and fruit box for me take and other guests to take with us as we departed too early to have breakfast before leaving for the tour.
