Property is in a stunning location , the rooms were stunning, and the staff exceptional. The staff absolutely went out of their way to help and make us feel so valued as a customer . Breakfast !!!! - the best food . We had an adjoining room, teens in attendance . We cannot speak highly enough of the accomodation and this is excellent value for money compared to travelling elsewhere. It was a luxury holiday . We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights. Delighted with the accomodation . Quite clean and excellent air con. Beautiful bathrooms . Room service meals very affordable
My only feedback would be insufficient space by the pool. We didn’t use because others had placed their towels on the loungers. A policy of not allowing people to put belongings on a lounger and then leaving would be worthwhile .

Our stay at Peridot Grand started with a very warm welcome by the staff, specifically Julie, who had been nothing short of a super star the whole stay. We had a problem with our room initially and Julie was quick to sort it out, and from that moment on we knew we were in good hands. We were even treated to complimentary massages which were very nice. The breakfast was great, lots of options. All in all we had a great experience, and it wouldn' have been the same without Julie :) we would definitely stay here again

From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with some of the most friendly and welcoming hospitality staff that we have ever encountered. Nothing was too much to ask. Almost immediately, Jason shared an extensive and self-explanatory list of the best restaurants to go to. He was also on hand to answer any questions about the best sites to visit, excursion information, and anything else we could think of - even on his day off! Nga was there every day at the restaurant to welcome us and recommend what Vietnamese dishes we should try. Annie (also in the main restaurant) was also a very warm and welcoming presence that made us feel at home on our first days in Vietnam. We had many, many treatments in the spa which were all lovely experiences and excellent value for money. June assisted us everyday with booking treatments, and is another fantastic example of the staff that make the Peridot hotel such a wonderful experience. After a long day exploring the city, Minh was always there at the front door with a huge smile to welcome us back. We really could not ask for more from the staff at Peridot - if I could give 10 stars for the service that they offered us, I would! After Peridot, we continued our tour through Vietnam, going onto Halong Bay, where we met other tourists who had also come from Hanoi. We already knew that we had picked the right hotel based on our experience with the staff, but once hearing their stories of their experiences at hotels in Hanoi, it became even more clear that we made the right choice by picking Peridot! So much so, that we are returning for 2 nights after our trip in Ha long Bay. If you are looking for a hotel in Hanoi, Peridot is absolutely a choice that you won’t regret. The hotel is beautiful, the spa is fantastic, the choice of restaurants (both Vietnamese and Western cuisine) offer great options, the rooms are lovely and spacious, the beds are incredibly comfortable and most importantly, the staff make the hotel worthy of 5*s.
There was nothing we didn’t like but I ran out of word count above! Also worth noting that the rooftop bar is beautiful and the waiters were also very helpful and accommodating.

The location was very central within the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Markets, Train Street and Hoan Kiem Lake were only about 10 min walk away and plenty of bars, shops and restaurants to explore. The Hotel is set back behind the street, so it is quiet with no traffic or street noise. All staff from Reception, Security, Rooftop Bar, House Keeping, Spa and Restaurants were exemplary, their customer service was second to none. Service from the staff at the Ignite Rooftop Bar was excellent, they were happy to chat with us and make us feel welcome, they were on the ball with refills, we never had to ask for our next drink. We checked in quite late at night and just managed to fit in a nightcap at the bar before they closed, they were all very accommodating - great service. The rooftop pool and bar area were ideal after a long hot day of exploring - great views both day and night. The rooms were clean and spacious, large comfortable bed and pillows. The Hotel WiFi was great, the TV, Desk, Bar fridge, room safe, slippers, bathrobes and wardrobe were all reflective of the standard of the hotel, individual Air Con control was an advantage. The bathroom had a tub and large walk in shower with great water pressure and temperature, complimentary toiletries and big fluffy towels. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious with plentiful portion sizes for hungry Australians. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever experienced, so many choices offering Asian and Western dishes including a personalised chef prepared egg and Bahn mi station, definitely something for everyone at this breakfast buffet. The in house spa services are definitely value for money and so relaxing, I highly recommend the spa. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Hanoi.
Everything was perfect.

Fantastic Location in the Old Quarter. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Very good buffet breakfast with a large selection. Good coffee.
The pastries at breakfast both mornings tasted weird, almost like the butter had gone off.

This hotel is amazing! Firstly, the room is beautiful. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is spacey. I wish we stayed longer in Hanoi just so we can stay in this hotel for a longer time. I love their breakfast. It has a lot of choices. Also, their staffs are so knowledgeable and friendly, especially when I wanted to book a city tour; they really go out of their own way to help. The location of the hotel is also amazing! It's basically in the middle of the Old Town, and it has 2 Michelin Guide eateries that are short walking distance from the hotel. I really recommend staying here!!

Nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and centrally located. The staff was attentive, and - even though the language barrier makes it sometimes challenging to really understand each other - goes out of their way to make your stay truly pleasant. Excellent breakfast and a nice rooftop bar.
My initial room had connecting doors. I could literally hear my neighbours alarm. The staff helped me to change rooms without hesitation. But still there’s some noise from cleaning staff in the morning and also the AC. Just bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The poolside is a bit small and the beds are a bit cramped, but what else to expect in the milde of the Old Town.

The breakfast was awesome, with a great variety of Vietnamese, Asian, and Western food cuisine. The icing on the cake was the custom made-to-order banh mi. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful - Evelyn reached out to us before we arrived the hotel. Sophie followed up to make sure to book us a beautiful romantic dinner for our 45th wedding anniversary. The bellhops were all super friendly and helpful to get us luggages and to get us safely to our Grab rides. We had a late flight leaving Hanoi - after a super hot day, we can even take a shower after we already checked out.

In the busy Old Quarter, this hotel was an awesome oasis of calm, exuding in quality, both the hotel and the staff were top notch. It is within a short walk from so many good places to eat, drink. we enjoyed meals at Michelin mentioned Bun Cha, Hanoi Garden... as well as countless cafes, street food... and speakeasy bars. St Joseph's Cathedral and Hoan Tiem lake is less than 10 mins stroll, and so many wonderful shopping experiences abound. The train street is also a stone's throw away, and everything else is a short "Grab Ride" within the city The suite we stayed in was nicely appointed, with everything within easy reach and exactly where it was needed. The staff go about their duty in a way that seems always present but never gets in your way. We have stayed in many 5 star hotels and this fits right in that category.
nothing negative at all...

Everything was Perfect! The staff went above and beyond and were so kind when we got sick (bringing us tea, moving us to a more quiet room, checking on us, etc.). The hotel is amazing, with super comfortable beds,a lovely breakfast buffet, a nice rooftop pool, and good food! The spa services are insanely good, and the staff is so kind and takes an interest in you &what you need. The masseuses are incredibly skilled (best massage I have ever had). They have a sauna, steam room. The only thing is the jacuzzi is open to all (so sometimes a bit noisy when you are in the sauna area). The Vietnamese cuisine was delicious, but sadly it's on the basement floor, and the European restaurant gets a nice outdoor view.
Had some drilling from the neighbouring hotel. But the hotel helped to change our room to a more quiet one + upgrade. Jacuzzi area is shared, so a bit noisy
