This hotel is in a fantastic location within very easy (10 min) walk of most main tourist things as well as good restaurants, bars and cafes. The lady at reception was very helpful without being too intrusive. One tip - leave the 'clean my room sign' on your door other wise it won't be done. We didn't know this until our third day!

Others have mentioned the fact there is only one key provided for the room - which is true. We even offered to purchase a second card but alas no. Because my partner and were doing different things some days, we just left the card at reception for the first person to return. This does mean that the aircon is not on during the time you are gone. We found it a minor issue as the room cooled off quickly (and we had the large suite). The other thing was the hot water - it was a bit hit and miss but that is common with these kids of hotels.

Highly recommend this hotel! We booked the Suite with city view 4th floor - hotel is in an alleyway so although there was noise (minimal - bike, horns, people selling from carts etc) from the tiny window above the tub in the bathroom, it was quiet at night so our 9 month old slept well. The owner was so lovely - she was very welcoming, always smiling and greeted us & the baby every time we saw her... she's so hard working, always there so late too. Due to the extremely long queue at airport passport check we got to hotel hours later than expected (around 9-10pm) but the owner waited for us to enquire if our baby could sleep on the fold out sofa (it was huge & sheets made) or if we preferred, she would order a crib which is what we opted for, so shortly after bags were brought to the room, staff set up the crib by our bed - which we really appreciated. The crib was smaller than what our baby was used to but she still managed to sleep the week we were here. Crib didn't have waterproof mattress or fitted sheet. Didn't have bumper protector either - so we just made these ourselves using extra sheets... I'm sure she would've ordered all these if we asked but we didn't want to trouble her. The bed & room were huge - 2 separate spaces/ zones divided by curtain. The lobby of hotel and the room was beautifully decorated with paintings and art on wall. Bathroom was clean - bed made & bathroom cleaned daily. Has elevator, aircon, & fridge with heaps of closet & cupboard space. Awesome location - restaurants/ cafes all around, Ben Thanh Market/ Saigon Square like less than 10 min walk. If you turn right outside hotel then left, there are really delicious restaurants: Com Tam Suon to Khong Lo (Owner super lovely) & Bo Ne Ba Nui 94 (omg so good)!!

Overall just a lot of space in this room/ hotel which is perfect for families with kids & due to convenient location - would be great for first time travellers to HCM too so would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to the lovely owner and staff members for the wonderful service during our time here :) Con - The floor was tiled so at times felt abit sticky - not sure if mopped daily..... could just be the humidity of Vietnam, but overall room and hotel was clean

Ben Thanh Boutique Hotel is a wonderful little place! In a great neighbourhood, tucked away in a quiet smaller street, with a laundry just a few doors away, vegetarian/vegan restaurant close by, Rau Oi, corner coffee shops and more! The staff are very friendly and so helpful, I arrived without VND and they helped me with my Grab fare until the next day. So kind and considerate. A very spacious and comfortable room, great value for money, I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for something more intimate than a big hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Comfortable room and bed but very small bathroom. Good location, plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. It’s great value for money overall, has all the essentials so you can overlook the minor faults for a short stay.

Tried to charge additional fee for paying by card which wasn’t mentioned on booking which feels underhand. Staff either don’t speak much English or don’t want to, either way it’s hard work to make conversation and get help beyond basics. View onto someone’s outdoor terrace so needed to keep curtains closed and therefore room dark. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment here.

Everything about the hotel was wonderful! The lobby, hallways, elevator, and rooms were always well-maintained and clean during our stay. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful Vietnamese decor and in each part of the hotel and our room had lovely furniture that we loved using during the stay. The room was also very spacious with a king sized bed and a walkout patio with a great view. Staff were very friendly and quickly accommodated us if we had any requests. Wifi service and air-conditioning was very fast and always functioning without any interruptions. The check in and check out process was very streamlined and efficient with friendly front-desk staff that assisted. The hotel location is also very convenient, located within a 10 minute walk to Ben Thanh Market, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, BiTexco Building, and many downtown tourist attractions and restaurants (also street food stand comes to the front of the hotel everyday - see picture!). This made it easy for us to go in and out throughout the day. Overall, loved the experience I had staying at the hotel and would recommend to family and friends if they visit Ho Chi Minh City.

Everything met and exceeded my expectations! Wonderful location, rooms, and staff.

Styling/decoration of the hotel and room was nice with loads of character, though a bit worn - peeling wallpaper (maybe part of the charm)?

Breakfast was a bit disappointing - we ended up having cornflakes with milk and banana and a tub of yoghurt.. Coffee was very ordinary. We asked for juice on the first day, which was very nice. But for the second day the girl at the reception said it was an extra charge. Gave us some watermelon the second day. It would be easy to make breakfast more enjoyable with a muesli option and a platter of fresh fruit. .Had to request additional towels and cups as we had 3 adults (parents, plus 19yr old daughter) in our group. Pointed out no hot water and this was fixed/turned on.Shower had low flow and tended to flood the room. Some sort of privacy curtains (for light) would be nice - as the view is across a small street into rooms of adjacent hotels.

the location is near to Ben Thanh market and halal street food (just 300 m or so, so I can go by walk to some halal restaurant), and sample some delicious halal Vietnamese food such as pho ga, pho bo, spring rolls etc. To go to some tourist attraction is also easy, by online taxi or walk! It is a good choice for us whom the main goal is to enjoy the HCMC and not to splurge on our budget to stay at a 5-star hotel.

Limited choice for breakfast, if you are a muslim traveler. But you still can substitute it by walk and find halal restaurants in halal street food, HCMC.

The owner, Olivia, was charming, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is a nice size - about 20 rooms, I believe. It is very well located to central Ho Chi Minh City and walking distance to the central market and the art museum, restaurants, as well as a city centre mall. It was an easy pick up location for any organized tours. I would absolutely return and recommend! Good value for the room rates.

The hotel's convenient location and cozy rooms make it an ideal choice for couples or those sharing a room. Our host, Olivia, demonstrated exceptional helpfulness by providing valuable guidance for our trip and promptly arranging a tour within a short timeframe. I would consider staying at the same hotel again during future visits to Ho Chi Minh City.
