I got the deluxe room on the 6th floor and it was excellent. It was exceptionally clean, with fresh pillows and sheets. The towels came neatly packaged in their own sanitary bags! There is also a fridge that’s bigger than a standard bar fridge and the windows really are that huge! gives the room a bigger feel and it’s lovely watching the lights at night. The best bit about this hotel was the lovely receptionist Kim. She was so helpful and kind! It’s also a really good location close to the markets and two great vegan cafes (Chay 365 and Sen Vegan House). I’d stay here again.

Location is great, good eateries close by,near Ben Thank market and other attractions. The jewel in the crown has got to be Kim, such a lovely young lady, kind, helpful and very caring. Thanks for everything. I will be staying again.

The staff at Calmette Hotel was super nice. I had requested an early check in because I was fasting for Ramadan and I wanted to rest. Not only they gave me a room at 12 pm, they gave me a free upgrade free of charge and gave me a better and bigger room. It definitely made my fast easier because I didn't want to sit in the lobby for two hours

They had the slowest elevators ever. The elevator took forever to come down or go up. The hotel wifi was not so great either and I kept getting disconnected every 30 mins/1 hour and as a digital nomad, it was quite annoying

We stayed at Calmette 3 separate times while touring Vietnam in Dec/Jan. We are a family traveling with 3 teenage boys so needed two separate rooms. We knew this when we booked and two of the 3 times, we were able to stay on the same floor. We specifically asked when booking for the superior double and triple room based on previous reviews. The hotel was clean, tidy and we had no issues with any of the facilities. The staff were so lovely, really helpful and this was the case each time we stayed. The markets are not too far away and there are some great local eateries and parks nearby. I'm not very good with directions but it always seemed to be a handy location to come back to throughout the day if we needed a break.

One of the showers in one of the bedrooms was a little small and an awkward shape but it really wasn't an issue.

Location is good, room clean an comfortable

We tried to extend our booking to additional day but did not succeed so made separate booking for that day. After doing this, I wrote to hotel through booking asking to book us same room for both bookings as we were coming at late night and wanted to sleep after the 16 hours flight with no necessity to change a room. Received positive answer. When we came and got a room, it appeared that they did not book same rooms for our stay and we still needed to change it after 2 hours of sleep. We would have chosen another hotel if they have said that they will not be able to arrange same rooms.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. When I arrived and was trying to get my bearings she gave helpful tips of where to find things. All through the time there the communicated well and the service was excellent.

Only issue for me was the multi adapter electrical sockets couldn't take the Japanese style rectangular plugs. The plug just fell out every time. But I bought a round pin adapter and it worked ok. This was just a minor thing, and my friends rooms worked ok.

The hotel is very well located. Easy to visit main attractions The rooms are very nicely decorated and very clean. Great bed and pillows The staff are 10/10 outstanding and the best of the best. Professional, friendly and helpful.

Great location with very close proximity to the city centre. 5 min walk to Ben Thanh market, local shops, bus stops and restaurants. The staff have been very friendly and accommodating to our requests to change rooms due to some tech issues with the air con. All and all very good place to stay near the centre of Saigon.

Not much my mum and I did not like.

The behaviour of staff , location of property, cleanliness, affordability , view from property, each and everything was so perfect more than my expectations to be honest.

Its hard to find a point which I didn’t like about the property.

stayed here for three nights,it is the third hotel i stayed during my trip to HCM city .the room i stayed can see the famous Bitexco Tower, although it was blocked by another building,still a nice city view. the room is quite big,it has a TV,a fridge,both are important facilities to me, there is also a sitting place with sofa.bathroom is clean and quite big,they provide toiletries and free drinks.i am not sure free drinks is limited or not,cuz i only get two times,the third day,cuz i didnt ask room service,so no one replace new bottled water on the third day. i didn’t buy breakfast,and not sure if they have it or not,cuz i see the breakfast menu in the room,but didnt see restaurant at the hotel. anyway, the hotel is close to Ben thanh market,and many eateries around the hotel, not a big issue. staffs at the counter is helpful and friendly,a female staff good at English,i did laundry with help of her,and the price is affordable,there is another male staff,he is also helpful,though he cant speak English,still do his best to serve me, when i checked out, he helped me to take my heavy luggages out of the hotel,thanks for him. staying at Calmette hotel is calm and quiet. highly recommended!

the lift or elevator out of service twice,the first time i even stuck in it,hope the management can do the maintenance regularly.
