I recently had the pleasure of staying at Memories Resort & Spa in Hoi An, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable — warm, attentive, and truly personalized. What truly made our stay exceptional was the incredible hospitality of Mr. Hoang Vu, the resort manager. He went above and beyond to ensure our visit was comfortable and memorable. From recommending hidden gems in Hoi An to checking in personally with a warm smile, Mr. Vu set the tone for the entire staff. His leadership and genuine care for guests are evident in every aspect of the resort. The resort itself is stunning — beautifully designed with serene surroundings that offer a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. The rooms were spotless and elegantly furnished. If you’re visiting Hoi An and looking for a place that combines luxury, authenticity, and truly exceptional service, Memories Resort & Spa is the perfect choice. A huge thank you to Mr. Hoang Vu and the entire team for making our stay so special. We will definitely be back!

Pools close too early

This hotel was an excellent choice. STAFF—Fantastic! General Mgr Mr. Vu patiently responded to several pre-visit inquiries and promptly assisted me with a minor emergency during my visit, even though he had gone home hours earlier. The concierge skillfully advised me on daily activities and transportation options, making everything effortless. Solo, the food and beverage mgr, is so friendly and attentive to guests’ needs and requests. ROOMS and GROUNDS— Very clean, peaceful, well appointed room with balcony that overlooked palm trees and the river. Fragrant Fangipani blossoms shade the walking paths leading from the central pool to the serene infinity pool at the end of the island where I spend much time relaxing in comfy chaise lounges under a shady umbrella while staying well hydrated by the pool bar tender. LOCATION-- Within 10-15 minutes walking distance to the historic old town center, yet the resort is on its own island. This degree of separation provides a perfect buffer of security, reinforced by wonderfully attentive guards who question anybody who crosses the bridge. ENTERTAINMENT-- The island also contains a culturally-focused theme park with an exceptionally high quality theatrical, musical, dance performance 6 nights/week. Resort guests have access to walk around the park for free in the evenings and are treated to “mini shows” that preview the full show later in the evening. Tickets to the full show are discounted for resort guests. OTHER — A free shuttle is available twice daily to transport guests into the old town, although you need to arrange the return taxi (or walk) yourself. Spa has an ample menu of indulgent treatments. Well-stocked mini-bar.

Only area i would like to see up-leveled a bit is the breakfast buffet.

Such an amazing place to stay with young kids!! The service was incredible, the pool was lovely, and my 1 year old loved being able to go to Memories Land and see the mini shows and lights (we went twice!!). So easy to get to Old Town and I loved watching the colourful boats on the river from our room. The hotel also organised a day trip and airport transfer for us which made things so easy. Breakfast buffet had lots of yummy options. Highly recommend!

Nothing, really - if noise bothers you then you may have an issue with being right on the river, as you can hear the boats until late. This didn’t bother us though.

Room - dramatically exceeded our expectations! It was great! Huge room, clean and well designed bathroom, well furnished, great view, excellent A/C Pool - fantastic - one of the cleanest pools I’ve been in. Staff - went over and above for us. Shuttle - used it once and was fine. Bikes were ok, especially if you go to town before it goes crazy (6am) Breakfast - great

Could have more gluten free options for breakfast and improved staff understanding of coeliac needs (ie gluten free) You need to show your room key to get over the pedestrian bridge Bikes need a service!

This is one of the best deals one can get for a hotel/resort stay anywhere and especially in the Hoi An area. Located on a gated island, a bridge away from hustle and bustle of Hoi An old town, it offers some needed peace and quiet when one wants. With beautiful views, great grounds, two sumptuous swimming pools, large and well equipped rooms, as well as multiple other perks, this is a world class resort. The breakfast offers many great choices of western and Asian foods. It is easy to get immersed in local culture with multiple shows in the nearby park that are free for the resort residents. The resort also offers discounts for the marvelous Memories Land show. The staff are amazing and ready to help with any wish you may have without being pushy to sell you something you may not necessarily want, like it is done in other hotels in the area, and miss Trang at the reception was especially helpful. Very highly recommended!

Something to note is that there's no elevator to the upper floor.

We had an amazing stay at Memories resort. It is a beautiful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but still close enough to be able to walk to the centre in 15 minutes. The hotel is beautiful, spacious clean rooms, and the breakfast had plenty of options each morning to suit all tastes. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Mr Hoàng Vû who really helped us when we had an issue with our outgoing flight- we really appreciated this. The airport shuttle was also excellent. One of our favourite places we have ever stayed.

Nothing- everything about the stay was exceptional.

The location is brilliant. Close enough to the town to get a 7 minute Grab, but far enough away to be able to escape the busyness of town. The view from the rooms over the river with the lantern boats is amazing. Frogs all over the place at night which the kids loved. Stunning family pool and amazing adults infinity pool. The staff were professional and helpful without being over the top. Big enough to be well equipped, but still felt boutique. Thoroughly recommend this stunning hotel, the amazing rooms, and the memories you'll be left with.

We didn't realise the hotel included a theme park with known daily shows. It was a nice surprise, besides some extras like free bikes and a gorgeous common area with two pools, a pool table, two bars and a yoga space. We took the bikes to the city center and it was lovely to pass through the rice paddy fields. Traffic can be challenging. The staff was also super nice and welcoming, going always the extra step. I recommend the spa and the 2h long massages!

The only thing I would have loved was to get lounge chairs on the balcony. I was planning on getting some sun but unfortunately, some rooms don't get sun on the balcony anyway. I would have still liked some lounge chairs there. The only other small thing was that I wish they had different-sized room slippers - mine were huge and uncomfortable.

This is an excellent resort, spotlessly clean, stylish, and walking distance to the the UNESCO protected old city of Hoi An. We had a big room overlooking the river. We could watch the little boats with colorful lanterns passing by from our balcony. This was an amazing scene to experience and it will be the one of the first things that will come to our minds whenever we think of this resort, and our time there. The breakfast was great too. We loved the freshly baked banana and coconut cakes! We spent one of our days relaxing by the pool, which was wonderful. In summary, we had the most restful and enjoyable days of our Vietnam trip at this resort and in this town. Both are highly recommended.

We liked everything this resort has offered.

Huge thanks to Hoang Vu and his team , made us feel very welcome from arrival and at all times during our stay . Loved the Pho each morning at breakfast and afternoon drink at infinity pool looking over to Old Town. Easy walk or bike ride into the action and the Hoi An Memories show next door is a great night out. Great size rooms and very comfortable beds , also quiet for a bit of a sleep in.
