The hotel exceeded my expectations by providing an excellent and efficient check-in experience, which set a positive tone for my stay. The facilities were well-maintained and offered everything I needed for a comfortable visit, including modern amenities that enhanced my overall experience. Additionally, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to assist and ensure that I had everything I required. Their welcoming demeanour made me feel valued and appreciated, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere throughout my stay. Overall, the combination of swift service, quality facilities, and friendly staff made for a truly enjoyable experience.

Unfortunately, the weather during my stay was quite challenging due to the latest storm that hit the island. Heavy rain and strong winds made it difficult to fully enjoy the outdoor amenities and activities that were available. While the hotel provided a cosy and comfortable environment to retreat to, the storm brought about some disruptions that impacted the overall experience. Despite this being the only significant issue during my stay, it certainly was a reminder of the unpredictability of nature. However, the hotel's staff handled the situation well, ensuring that guests remained safe and comfortable amidst the adverse weather conditions.

Seaview room amazing views very close to, and over the sea, big full size windows across room, with glass door to stand on balcony (4th floor) Paragon restaurant dinner buffet really excellent imo., Everything cooked to perfection and with alot of thought, considering they had to feed so many people and cook so much food. Thank you to the Chef who served me,(didnt ask name 😕), was a great bloke and talked to everyone and took an interest in people. Was an indoor small pool and sauna and gym available on site. The bar area was very large and stylishly kitted out, with full length and width window views over sea, bar staff excellent, thank you to Renz (?) Prob not right spelling, lovely amenable person as were others. On site parking....rare for IOM., very useful. Cleaning staff super helpful thank you

Bathroom! Was very, very small !!!, Everything was provided (shower over bath), but toilet too close to side of bath, difficult to use (im very tall and mobility issues) Having said that, the other good things made it a wise decision to stay, and I got used to cramped area 😂

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Spa pool all very good myself and my 11 year old daughter had a wonderful 3 night stay. We loved the pool and open all day no restrictions on jacuzzi pool so my 11 year old could use it too. Staff in lookys bar were very kind and helpful with my fussy eater daughter. Security staff at the hotel outside the casino were lovely and found my daughter’s missing soft toy. Also ate in the Chinese restaurant which is part of the hotel, service and food were great. Domestic staff were very helpful replenishing room teas coffees etc you only had to ask.all areas clean especially toilets etc

Bed was a bit uncomfortable but I’m fussy and love my own bed. Room decor run down. I would have liked a fridge in room. Bit pricey only because room needed updating.

In addition to the great location on the Promenade, by car the Palace Hotel is very close to the Ferry Terminal. I appreciated the engaging and friendly manner of staff members, especially Eve. One was spoiled for choice when it came to breakfast, a wide assortment of both hot and cold items, fresh fruit and fruit juices and every variety of milks. One could also request porridge and Manx kippers from the kitchen. There were lovely sunrise views from the bedroom window.

With the difficulty of finding a parking spot on the Promenade, it has to be noted that The Palace has a very large Car Park which can accommodate quite a number of cars. While I appreciated the free parking I didn't particularly the like car park approach to the lobby entrance to the Hotel.

Cindy on front reception was extremely helpful and lovely to deal with. Nothing was to much trouble..

The blooming heat of the place lol

The cost, the location, the view over the bay from the window, the transport links around the island. The range of entertainment facilities on site. Cinema, Restaurants, Bar, Swimming pool (heated), Bingo, Slots with cafe (free food and drinks). Plenty to do, even on a horrible winter's day, which prohibits travelling around the island. The town centre was nearby and looked really nice for xmas.

A bit noisy (not outside) with doors slamming. But it was xmas party time, and the doors were heavy fire escape type doors.

Well situated on the promenade providing comfortable accommodation with great friendly staff offering excellent service and an excellent breakfast. Lookys Bar is a great addition offering a good selection of drinks and food both during the day and evening. The main restaurant also offered excellent food at competitive prices for one, two, or three courses . Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay 👍

Bar is great, fitness centre is very good too, and I couldn’t fault the staff they were all very good at their jobs.

Clean up the front of the hotel, I know you want to advertise the casino but it’s very off putting. It looks very rundown. The signage could be tastefully done. Also inside the carpets could be updated too and a good clean up of the reception area. There is a very bad smell off reception by the stairs which is unpleasant.

Hotel is quiet. They offered luggage service on check out day. I loved the health spa service and the swimming. I believe i had some complementary bottles of wine in the room,for my birthday only i am almost teetotal. But all the same i am honouredd

The double bed turned out to be 2 single beds joined in the middle. The gap was noticeable and was a bit of a discomfort. Having a mattress topper could fix that.

The staff were great. The on site facilities with the gym, pool, casino, bar, restaurants and the surprise of the cinema in the car park at the back, meant, as a solo traveller, I had lots to do. The Chinese restaurant is one of the best I have ever been to.

It is a reflection of the ageing building, but in the lower entrance and weights gym, there was a smell and signs of damp. It was kept clean, but things like the carpets and curtains are well past their sell by date. There was a very noisy fan for the kitchen at the back of the building, which did go off during the night, but I would struggle trying to get an early night on lie in.
