The property is even more fabulous than the photos. They have fabulous restaurants, great architecture, rooms with ocean view, great big balconies, private access to the beach, I have enjoyed my time and stay. The spa staff, services, facilities are amazing. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and the food is great. They’ve made exceptions as per my request. I wish I had stayed longer than I did. I can’t wait to return here, just for the stay and spa. Amazing pool, amazing great food and you can really see the ocean from your balcony. Super safe hotel and location. Highly recommended!

The pools and cleanliness and great service

They charged us £482 which was a lot more than what was noted on booking.com even if I include the extras noted on booking.com. It was disappointing to be charged with hidden fees

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel, Thalassa, And it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, Khalil and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel’s design is stunning, blending modern luxury with traditional Moroccan touches that create a beautiful ambiance. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The views from our balcony overlooking the ocean were breathtaking. The resort’s amenities were top-notch, the pools are pristine and private beach area with restaurant are definately worth checking out. We had the pleasure of meeting Ismael, he was our personal waiter that evening and suggested restaurants outside the hotel and even made reservations for us. We caught a sunset there on the beach front and it was exceptional. Dining at Sofitel Thalassa was an absolute delight. Each meal was a culinary journey, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and an array of options that catered to every palate. The breakfast buffet in particular was outstanding, offering a wide selection of dishes and delightful pastries. What really made our stay exceptional was the level of service and the thoughtfulness of Khalil & the staff. They even recognised our birthdays and arranged a wonderful surprise! While dining in one of their beautiful restaurants on the evening of our birthday, they brought out a special birthday cake and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to us. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made us feel truly celebrated and at home. Khalil, Ismael & Every other staff member at Sofitel, Thalassa that we encountered were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our experience memorable. It’s rare to find such personalised and thoughtful service, but the Sofitel Thalassa team truly excelled. We would highly recommend Sofitel Thalassa, Agadir to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway.

Not a lot

Sofitel, Agadir, is a tranquil and relaxing place to stay. The pools are centred amidst serene landscaped gardens that lead onto a generous stretch of private beach. The Guest Relations Manager, Khalil was very hospitable and provided us excellent customer service. Khalil had impeccable manners with fluent English speaking skills which made our stay comfortable. He looked after us and guided us throughout our holiday. The Thalassa Spa and Sea facility offers many treatments including hydrotherapy and seawater pools including aqua-beds with direct views of the ocean and The Kaspa. We all enjoyed the traditional Moroccan Hamam Ritual treatment among many other spa therapies. The staff were professional and accommodating at all times. The on-site La Plage Restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. The menu offered a healthy selection of well presented food. We would particularly like to thank Khalil for his warm welcome and invaluable guidance.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Sofitel Agadir that we didn’t want to leave! The location is unbeatable, right on the beach, with beautiful facilities including a heated outdoor pool, beach and pool towels readily available, and a well-equipped gym with a coach on site. Breakfast every morning was a treat — such a wide variety of options to choose from, something for everyone. We especially loved the dining experiences: Le Corail serves delicious Spanish cuisine, and La Plage offers not only great food but also the most stunning view and relaxing ambiance. At one point, we tried to extend our stay but saw there was no availability online. We mentioned this to a staff member, and to our surprise, they brought the hotel director to speak with us personally. They managed to arrange the extension at the same rate — which we truly appreciated! What stood out the most was the service. Every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind, attentive, and always had a smile. Their hospitality really made us feel special. Nothing

The hotel is very large with a large outdoor swimming pool (not heated) and a smaller outdoor heated pool - which was very nice, even in December. The gardens are super nice with lots of differing seating/chillout spots. The restaurants are all nice and the restaurant/bar area is super with live singers/musicians etc. The hotel itself is right at the beachfront with easy access and also right at the end of the promenade, which you can walk along all the way to the Marian (approx. 5km). The rooms of the hotel are really nice, bright, clean, spacious and modern.

The price of the food and drinks at the hotel are too expensive, even higher than at home in Switzerland and are not worth the high prices. The beach is very nice, but the nearby dunes are not reachable as they are controlled by guards of the King - which is really disappointing.

A fantastic new beachfront hotel! The beach is absolutely beautiful, the pools are great, and the Spanish restaurant is outstanding — one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Breakfasts were delicious and varied. Our room was stunning — stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. I also really enjoyed the gym — spacious and well-equipped.

That said, I was a bit disappointed with the spa. I expected it to be more extensive in terms of facilities and offerings. Also, it’s a shame that teenagers aren’t allowed into the sauna or hammam — I understand the concern, but many kids know how to behave calmly and respectfully in such spaces. Lastly, while the overall experience was lovely, I do feel the price was slightly higher than the level of enjoyment delivered.
