I booked a Deluxe Twin Room with Grand Canal View, but was upgraded to a suite. It was a wonderful Venetian-style room. The location was great, facing the Grand Canal and close to St. Mark's Square. The staff were all very friendly.

The air conditioning controller did not work so I was unable to adjust the temperature on the first night. On the day we checked out, we didn't have time to go and get our food one by one, so we both left our seats for about two minutes, and most of our food was already taken away. We had placed our napkins on the chairs and new tissues on the table. The waiter told me that a pigeon had landed on the table while we were away, and glared at us, saying, "Pigeons will come, so go one by one." We had spent two comfortable nights, but we didn't expect to be glared at becaud of pigeons just before we left. We couldn't help but think that they should have done something about the pigeons instead of glaring at us. Can't people who come alone go and get their food?

At my request the hotel arranged a private pick up water taxi from the airport, this went exactly to plan, and exceeded our expecations, such a lovely start. Upon check in, we were given a free upgrade to a suite, a very generous touch. The hotels location is second to none, right in the heart of San marco sat on the edge of the Grand Canal. Yet the hotel still has a peaceful and quiet feel to it when inside. The hotel restuarant was excellent, great service and quality of food, and the setting right on the canal made it super special. Extremely friendly staff, the concierge to the waiters, all professional and welcoming. I would most definitely be reutrning to this hotel when visting Vence again. Thank you for making a weekend break so memorable.

You couldn’t ask for a better location — right on the Grand Canal, a few steps from Piazza San Marco, where Venice truly feels alive.

The restaurant, on the other hand, feels a bit too formal and overpriced for what it offers — small portions, big prices, and not much soul. One important tip: if you’re booking through Booking.com, make sure to clearly request a room with a canal view. Otherwise, you might end up staring at a wall instead of that unforgettable Venetian water view.

Hotel in a very good position on the Grand Canal & only minutes away from St Mark's Sq. & next to a vaporetto stop. Renovated only a few years ago & so the rooms are of a very high standard & beautifully decorated. Comfy beds and nice quality bed linen. Some rooms have outside terraces, which are nice to relax on. We were fortunate to have been placed in the Alcova Casanova suite, with a large outside terrace from which there were absolutely amazing views. So try and book this room if funds stretch.. Staff friendly & helpful. Good breakfast selection. We are regular visitors to Venice, every 2/3 years over the last 20 years, and have usually stayed at another very high quality hotel in Venice, but after our first stay here, will certainly stay here again on our bi annual visits.

There was nothing to dislike but we always prefer a kettle in the room for easy access to our morning tea rather than having to wait & get dressed for room service.

Breakfast was excellent, view was spectacular, location near San Marco and Vaporetto (water bus) was a few steps, loved the terrace dining for breakfast-- watch the chaos of boats and gondolas unfold on the canal! View was more expansive than staying on the narrower areas of the Grand Canal.

I would have liked a little larger surfaces for bedside-- also the room wasn't big enough for two armchairs, I would opt for a bigger room next time- a suite?

Perfect location. Easy access off Grand Canal. Excellent, elegant breakfast; good service; beautiful morning views of canal with gondolas-picturesque!

A hotel shop offering basic necessities, water, snacks, sundries, etc. would be an important addition as going into shopping districts at inconvenient times(late night; rainy days, etc.) is difficult and often unavailable as shoppes close relatively early

An amazing property in Venice - but to be honest what really stands out is the STAFF! From the booking dept to the reception area, they are world class #1!

The hotel itself was elegantly appointed. The gold marble in our bathroom was really stunning. Our only complaint was that our bed, comprised of two twins pushed together, was too hard. The staff, especially at the concierge were friendly and accommodating. The bartender and bar staff (Paolo & Jean-Luca) were fabulously entertaining! Can’t wait to go back!

It was so gorgeous, well designed, great location, close to San Marco Square, restaurants and shops.

We were not notified that the room A/C is only on/available dependent on the exterior weather temperature. So, our A/C was operational and not operational the following nights. It became stuffy overtime. Drinks and food were slightly expensive as compared to other local restaurants and bars.

We have visited the hotel before and the location is fantastic. The staff are fantastic and couldn't be more helpful. The food is exceptional. The balcony for breakfast and dinner is right on the canal which gives you a fantastic view for people and boat watching.

The mattress was a little hard.
