It was a great hotel and guys and girls who worked there was great unfortunately parked van close to room which was upper floor reversed to some trees as u always do as a precaution with tools in van boxed side door off ages ago for extra security .on the night some low life tried to break in through side door but had extra euro lock fitted so the scum never got in but wrecked the side of the door and van panel.this is why I try and avoid hotels as they are a breading ground for the doley scum bags who won't do a decent days work .so no tools taken just £2000 damage to door etc not sure this is a regular occupancy but I wudnt stay here again because of this.just avoid hotels if possible.

The junior suite was very large, the bed was very comfortable, the air con was excellent. The best part however has to be the spa, the pool is lovely and the whole experience was just wonderful. £10 per person for the entire stay is an absolute bargain, the staff at the hotel and spa were very friendly. Loads of parking too. We had a normal burger from the restaurant and took it to our room and it was delicious. Another nice touch was that if you stay more than one night and use the same towels to help the environment (you get a tag to hang on your door) you get £5 off the bar/restaurant which was good. The place was very clean and there was a lovely walk for our dog if you go outside the gate, turn left and 20 meters up the road go rough into the woods and it goes into a huge enclosed nature walk. All in all, I definitely recommend this place and the price was very reasonable and the staff were excellent.

Nothing that I didn’t like but a suggestion really. It would be nice to have a mini fridge, we were in the middle of a heatwave but even an empty one just to put your own water bottles or cans would have made it perfect. I was desperate for an ice cold drink when in the room.

We stayed for 1 night just as a treat for ourselves from daily life, being only 40mins away, it's a fairly local hotel to us. On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely lady called Chloe who was very helpful. Our room was downstairs and we were warned there was a small wedding on but this was not a problem. The noise was very minimal even though our room was literally opposite the event. The hotel decor is very nice, the rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need (although we didn't have a bedroom bin which was odd). Hotel grounds although not huge, are nicely kept. Access to Romans Spa was easy, and facilities here again fab. You do have to pay £10 to use the leisure facilities, however that's for the whole duration of your stay. Food was great, plenty to choose from. We went half board. Overall, we had a fab stay, the staff were really did go above and beyond. We will definitely recommend and definitely be back. Thank you!

The room was beautiful, comfortable, clean and spacious...the sofa in the room is comfier than our sofa at home! The bed was really comfortable (and lovely and big!). The shower was warm and powerful. The breakfast was varied and beautifully cooked. All staff were friendly. The swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room and changing rooms were so clean and well-equipped. We don't usually return to the same place as we like to explore, but are definitely planning on coming back!

Nit-picking (because that's all I have!)...the sofa wasn't facing the TV in the room (it was facing the bed) and there wasn't a way to turn the tv round, so the sofa was just facing a wall and you had to sit on the bed to watch anything on TV. The swimming pool etc. was a little crowded (we were there for a weekend), which meant we had to wait a while for the jacuzzi etc. amd there weren't enough lounging chairs around the pool. However, the hotel were very clear it can get busy and it was a weekend, so it was expected. As I said, nit-picking!

The cleaniless of the hotel and spa was excellent. team members were friendly. The free-standing bath in the room! Amazing! Plus shower and toilet room. 2am soaking in the bath watching Gordon Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares like Geralt of Rivia.

The price of soft drinks was considerably high. There's a line in Beverly Hills Cop where Eddie Murphy / Axel Foley goes into a private, just buys a coke and he is charged $8. He replies 8 dollars...for a coke! Well, thats instantly was I reminded of. when being charged more! Unfortunately, also being overcharged for lunch wasn't great. But was resolved easy enough will minimal fuss. Outside of the bedroom, just luck of the draw room-wise, was next to a consistent rumbling all night of the industrial side of the hotel. The window wasn't blocking the sound and vibration.

The location was a little tricky to find due to an industrial area blocking access from one direction and there was also roadworks involving a diversion close to the hotel, but we soon navigated it.

We couldn't get dinner in the restaurant due to bookings for dinner packages however the bar staff said we could choose bar or restaurant menu in the bar so we were sorted out quickly. The children's hours in the swimming pool are very restrictive and clash with meal times. My granddaughter only managed to get 15 minutes on the first day and had to get out even though there was no one else in the pool.

The curry from room service was rather delicious and far better than expected, along with the accompaniments. The ladies on the reception desk were most helpful, given that I arrived just after 9pm.

One of the bar staff, told me that I was too late to get any food from the hotel just after 9pm, so I went out to reception asking where they could recommend I could grab something and not too far away, I said I quite fancied a curry. They told me that I could order from room service and have it in the bar, with a glass of wine and so that was what I did. The bar staff need a gentle reminder that guests can still eat in the hotel after 9pm.

The room was nice and spacious, and everything was very clean, which made for a comfortable stay. The view from the window looked out onto a rooftop/patio, so it wasn’t particularly great, but the facilities more than made up for it. Tea coffee facilities were great. The spa and swimming area were excellent, definitely the highlight of the stay. The spa staff, in particular, were wonderful; they always greeted us with a smile whenever we went in or out, which really added a welcoming touch. The rest of the hotel staff were generally okay, though I felt it would have been nicer to see a bit more warmth and friendliness. One small downside during my visit was that the lift wasn’t working, which was a little inconvenient. Overall, I had a beautiful time here. I would definitely visit again and recommend this hotel to others.

Used to visit Sketchley regularly in the past but stopped for a while as standards dropped. Thrilled to see how much Sketchley has since improved! Beautiful refurb since last visit. Lovely room as always. Brilliant breakfast service and food. Dinner was great. Mostly excellent staff. Spa and pool absolutely brilliant with lots of safety mats and all facilities working well. Really pleased to see the leisure decor refreshed and that the floor of the pool on the once deep end has now been raised. This is very good for safety as there is no lifeguard.

Odd experience with a waitress who took AGES to bring out our desserts and wouldn't tell us why LOL. The manager came to our table, was extremely apologetic and kindly offered us a refund. The lift didn't work but they did offer to help us with our luggage, which we appreciated. The bathroom was clean but had a damp smell of unknown origin.The grout on the outside of the shower base needs to be redone as it looked mouldy. And the seal along the bottom outside of the sink lifted, so water was leaking out.

Comfortable and clean room with a spacious bathroom. The restaurant was great - luckily, we timed our breakfasts right but some people did have to wait for a few minutes for space in the restaurant to be able to get theirs. The breakfast itself was great - lots of variety and quality food. We also ate in the lovely bar area, which was fairly priced and has a good menu. We loved that you get a £5 bar voucher if you forego turndown... although we forgot to claim our voucher! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute drive to the town of Hinckley. The pool is a good size, with a lovely sauna, steam room and hot tub jacuzzi. Towels are provided in here, which was very useful. Overall, a really great hotel. Thank you :)

Hours for children to use the pool area are restricted - we would likely have stayed in the pool area all day otherwise; however, I am sure adults travelling without children much appreciate the restrictions!
