An absolutely gorgeous location. The cottage is cosy and decorated beautifully. The gardens and outlook are divine. Extremely picturesque and peaceful. It felt like being a million miles away even though we were just outside of Sydney. My kids adored playing in the field, in the yard with the autumn leaves and using the fire pit to roast marshmallows. We also appreciated the fresh bread and home made jams for breakfast.

We would have loved a guest guide book on how to operate facilities such as Wi-Fi /TV etc and an easy way to communicate with our host rather than knocking on their door when we had a question. They were very friendly, but we didn't know wether we were intruding. Reception is hit and miss so be prepared for that if you need to work. The place was mostly clean apart from a few cobwebs and debris in the bathtub which I washed out before use.

From the moment we pulled into the drive way, we all agreed that the beauty of the Chanticleer Barn cottage was breath taking, as we drove over the pebbled driveway and made our way into Rose Cottage we also agree that the advertised pictures where only a glimpse of how stunning our overnight stay would be.we slept in comfort and really truly didn't want to leave. All my family agreed we need to come back and stay longer. The perfect stay to breathe and reconnect. You guys where very accommodating , we thank you very much. Can't wait to come back Xx

What an exquisite experience. From the moment we drove up the driveway to the vision of the doors open waiting to welcome us in, the property was so much more than just a bed to sleep in for the night. The garden, the breakfast, the artwork, the space, was beyond our wildest dreams and having a delightful impromptu chat in the garden with Grada made our stay.

That we had to leave. :-)

we like everything very comfortable bed and fully equipped kitchen breakfast- lunch and dinner. wonderful and comfortable patio with armchairs. Super relaxing, we love the bonfire night watching the stars amazing place to rest in the middle of nature easy access to all farms and cafes around. if you are looking for something to relax this is the place. we visited several farms around. we just love super attentive Peter and Grada.

maybe there could be more salt / pepper in the kitchen but there is a market around.

Beautiful gardens, amazing feeling of space, huge pergola area, we had our border collie dog with us & he could just roam free in beautiful yard. Great kitchen, lounge & bathroom facilities. Very clean. Loved it!

The bed was only a double - would have liked a queen bed for a couple.

We enjoyed the atmosphere as a whole!

We had a few insects and mosquitoes, flies whenever we open the doors.. it would have been nice if there was a way to limit them from entering indoors.

breakfast quick and easy; love a good coffee machine; loved the barn doors, feature walls and mirrors. lovely and quiet and relaxing even though we live in the country ourselves - this helped relieve the stress of being in the big smoke, picturesque grounds, very welcoming reception - even though we were several hours later on arrival than expected, which put us into the dark, this was no trouble; room was heated on arrival (winter) which was much appreciated after a long 8 hour drive.

larger bathroom towels would be great - we are tall and used to bath sheet sized towels there was some hair left in the shower drain from previous stayers - although I just cleaned this up

Beautiful, outstanding gardens, large pool, peaceful. B & B accommodation was cozy and comfortable. Well stocked fridge for a light breakfast. Pleasant hosts, discreet but friendly when we had contact.

Gorgeous barn converted into self contained studio cottage fit for me and my 12 year old daughter in lush gardens, close to Galston, Golden Ridge Animal Farm and short 12 min drive to Berowra Waters. All Breakfast ingredients including fresh eggs and bacon, croissants, bread and spreads supplied by friendly owner Grada.

Hard to dislike. Minimal dislikes Couldn't find fly spray for flies, or detergent / scrubbing brush to wash dishes.

Our stay was perfect the property was amazing extremely comfortable and the gardens are stunning Host were so helpful we would highly recommend this property
