Location is good for easy M1 freeway access both N & S, without traffic noise being too intrusive for sleep. Staff were very friendly and helpful when I needed to stay an extra night unexpectedly. The evening (chinese) meal prepared by the owner was the best I've ever had, and was reasonably priced.

Space for customer parking onsite is a bit tight. When exiting motel can only turn one way N onto Pacific Hwy due to central concrete ridge in hwy.

Lovely clean, very spacious room. An older style motel but had modern spacious and very clean ensuit. Hosts were lovely and food from Chinese restaurant was awesome and delivered to my room, as was a cooked breakfast. I'm staying here on my return trip back up north also. Five star service.

I'm from the country and had a front room with large glass windows in the room. Room was facing pacific hwy and traffic didn't stop until 3am, then started again around 5am. After driving for 6hrs that day and I had another 6hrs driving the following day, I needed sleep. If staying there and like me your from the country, I'd suggest some ear plugs if your not use to noise at night. I'm staying there on my return trip back up north as everything else was 5 star. I've already bought some ear plugs just in case I have a front room again.

Loved the unique interior of room. Loved having breakfast brought into my private suite.

The property was lovely. Getting there in the evening was a challenge but thanks to a helpful bus driver I was dropped off directly in front of accommodation. The walk to the train station next morning was a challenge. Mostly footpath but had to walk on some of the road due to no footpath at that section. As buses were running due to railway line maintenance I was lucky to have a bus driver stop when I was three quarters of the way to Mt Kuring-Gai station to get a bus to Gosford. She was most kind and said she knew I needed a ride.

Very convenient to just about everything like Aldi not 5 minutes up the road and a McDonald's at Mt Colah as well as a Coles and KFC at Asquith. Hornsby train station is roughly a 10 to 15 minute drive away (south) and Mount Kuring-gai train station 5 minutes away (north). would highly recommend this motel for a short stay.

Parking. Was in room 3 and was hard to reverse into the parking spot with a garage in the way and cars in the parking spots for rooms 2 and 4 made it inconvenient. The other draw back is you can't turn right into the property from the Pacific Highway. You have to drive to the next set of light to do a u turn and drive back.

The staff ,who I understand are also the proprietors, went out of their way to assist remedy a glitch which had taken place in booking arrangements through no fault of theirs. They themselves describe their business as being a basic motel, which it is. That said, one could only wish more basic motels were as well run as the Mt. Kuring-gai motel. I have stayed there a number of times over the past few years and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for accommodation anywhere south of the Hawkesbury River and down as far as Lindfield NSW

Great little motel on the northern outskirts of Sydney. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was large with plenty of seating and a large bench under the window for setting up a computer or eating. The bathroom was very small, but adequate and manageable. Even though the motel is on the old Pacific Highway, traffic noise was minimal. There was a supermarket and chemist less than a kilometre up the road. There was tea and coffee provided, with UHT milk in the fridge. I will stay again when passing through Sydney.

As I always carry my own breakfast cereal, a bowl and spoon would have come in handy. However, I didn't expect that extra for the low price of the room - I should have remembered to take my own.

Location was great for me, easy access from highway, close to train, close to the event I was attending. Reasonable price, tired decor but scrupulously clean which is more important, lol. Great Chinese room service dinners. Surprisingly quiet given proximity to highway and train..will definitely be back.

Ensuite bathroom was pretty 'compact'.

Didnt like leaving ! the more so when we came to set up at the next motel the following.Night. We were surprised that the Motel only has a 3star rating,

Enjoyed the Chinese menu for dinner and that it was delivered to room rather then having to go to the restaurant due to heavy rain and the extra car parking bay was needed for friends car as we were coming from opposite directions

The shower took forever to get hot water through and the air condition does not turn onto heat

Amy the receptionist/manager was just a real sweetheart, so helpful and kind. The room was small and compact, but we were aware that it would be a bit cramped. Loved the layout and the decor/architecture. It had a hairdryer/kettle/microwave. No crockery/wineglasses/cutlery beyond the basic cups and saucers. Not an issue for us as we always carry backups. Dinner was brought to us hot and delicious. We had the dim sims, spring rolls, and one main course serve and it was plenty, even providing a breakfast of leftovers for the morning. There is nothing much nearby, although there is an Aldi in walking distance.

Look, sure there are things that could be improved: a few basic kitchen utensils, a toaster for the morning etc, some shower amenities. But if you read the reviews you will be able to provide a few items yourself and really at that pricepoint, I really can't complain at al. There are plenty of great choices on the menu for dinner and it is really good quality.
