Everything ! The front staffs were very friendly especially Dana. We requested for a room upgrade with balcony and this was looked into very politely. The room was clean with a peaceful lake view. The occasional visits from the birds during the day was the best part of our stay. Free parking and convenient location. Would definitely book again.

As usual all good
It says on bookings.com to tick if u need business invoice from the hotel...they refuse to give one...i complained about this at last stay and said i cant stay anymore hotel replied and said would put a note on our file that we need one then we went back again a week later and wouldnt give it so basically have been tricked into coming back with no intention of giving us what we require...this is the only hotel that refuses this and booking .com should take that option off the listing ...feel tricked and deceived

Such a convenient location. Free parking close by. The rooms were spotless and spacious. The beds were so comfortable. Beautiful view of a lake and parkland from our balcony. Rooms were super quiet. The staff were accommodating and friendly. We will definitely return here next time we are in Sydney.
The only negative was that the restaurant (which served fabulous meals) wasn't open for breakfast on the weekends and closed on Sundays. Not a big issue as there are other restaurants and cafes close by.

Absolutely wonderful. Very quiet at night time. No buildings to spoil view. Lush green grass with artificial lake and numerous friendly wildlife (magpies, galahs and ibis). As it was Christmas, each guest was given a Christmas gift box on Christmas Day which was crackers, cheese, bottle of wine and crisps. And the two night stay was a reasonable price.
There was nothing to dislike. Very clean and staff very welcoming. Bus 410 from Burwood to Macquarie Park is the only bus that passes accommodation and it’s a very regular service. Easy to find. Just get off out the front of the university hospital and it’s 5 minutes walk to the left.

I don't want much from my stay. It was Clea and modern. Staff were very attentive. I want low cost rooms and this was perfect. I don't need a big lavish hotel. I wish there were car parking a little closer to my room, but honestly not worthy of being a problem. You even have a nice restaurant and some more expensive places don't even have that. So I will see you again soon if you keep your prices ow.
Car parking when I could get one out front. Not a big deal though.

Perfect location for a quick trip to Ryde for my daughter to attend a party. Short walk to Macquarie Centre. Staff were really helpful and coffee machine in reception is a nice bonus. Great price. Really comfy beds.
The gym was a little disappointing but it’s a small thing to complain about. Limited parking at the front of the building, but plenty on street and around the complex. Disappointed to see multiple cars without accessible parking permits ignoring the marked accessible bays out the front.

I had two different rooms because I made a separate booking for each night as I was unsure if I was going to be there for both days). My bed on both nights was fantastic and super comfy. Room had plenty of space in general and the free parking was very much appreciated (I hate paying for parking). The outlook on my first night across the pond on Macquarie Uni campus is always a nice sight instead of suburbia. The rooms are also quiet despite the M2 Motorway not being that far away. Although I did not use it, the iron appeared to be quite new and no muck on the hotplate or signs that it would ruin your shirt if you went to press it. The kettle, which I did use to make a cup of tea, was clean and dry when I went to use it. I also was able to get an 11am check out (I could have possibly gotten 12 noon which would have suited me better but sometimes you just don't want to stretch the friendship, even if it's offered) but I was still made feel quite welcome to sit on a comfy lounge in the foyer to finish my work (Hint: you can always take a short walk across to the Uni and sit in the food court and the 2 levels of study spaces above over at the Uni - just don't expect Wi-Fi. Sitting in the foyer I was still able to use the hotel Wi-Fi).
The showers are quite small IMO so you really have to stand sideways to get a good lather up. I don't care much for the little complimentary bottles of toiletries at present as they have had some decent ones in the past (I often will use the body wash if my own travel bottles are running low). As far as the complimentary tea/ coffee in the room was concerned though, it would have been nice to have a couple of bags of green tea as well as the two black tea varieties, however it was easy enough to grab some from the tea/ coffee table in the main foyer at reception. None of these small issues would make me choose not to stay here though - if that's the case for you, just stay home. MGSM is far better than the other one next door.

No fuss checking in. Parking is convenient. Location is very close to mall and business park.
One day, I’ve put the do not disturb sign on the door, and left. And when I came back, housekeeping has definitely come in anyway, even with the sign. One light was flickering and the other one in the bathroom is not working at all. I was also almost charged for the bottled water in the fridge that I did not touch.

Room #113, with a view overlooking the grassed area and lake beyond, was beautifully appointed and extremely clean. The rooms are very well sized. The location is peaceful. There is free parking. It took less than 30mins to travel into the CBD using the Metro (including an 8-minute walk through the university and then a 20-minute Metro ride into Central Station). Quality, safe and comfortable accommodation at an affordable price.
I loved everything.

It had a great outlook over the grounds of Macquarie University, which contain a small lake, bushland and landscaped gardens. The bed was super comfy and plenty of space in the room. The position of the room also meant I was away from the noise of the nearby M2 Motorway. I was also very close to the food/ coffee facilities on the uni campus.
The air conditioning system was very noisy and despite the control panel being brand new and very simple to use, I just could not get the right temperature setting. Not surprisingly, the shower door did not stop the floor from getting wet. The complimentary tea/ coffee only had two teabags and one coffee sachet but the saving grace was the full range available near reception all hours.
