Apart from the cooking facilities, it had everything we needed in the room itself. Besides, you don’t really need to cook when you can pick up food from the Top Ryde shopping centre across the road. And there is the big kitchen on the first floor if you did need to cook. The first floor was a hidden treasure. The laundry was another great plus.

We only had one bedside table for our double bed, would have liked one on each side. A bit more bench space in the bathroom would also be nice. A few more hangers would also be great.

We enjoyed our 8 nights staying at Studio 8 Residences. The location is very convenient for travellers to go to the city or to the West of Blue Mountains. There are buses and night buses to reach the hotel in a few minutes' walking distance. Top Ryde Shopping mall across the road has Coles, Woolworth, BigW,Kmart, and many good restaurants and food courts at a reasonable price. The hotel room has a nice balcony, a microwave, a kettle, a big refrigerator, and a sink, which is very convenient to make your own breakfast. On top of this, there is a common kitchen and coin laundry. We cooked twice in the kitchen for fun. The rooftop has a city view where you can do bbq or watch firework. The receptionist (2 male students, an IT student, and a martial art student) during the New Year period were very friendly and helpful. They made you feel welcome and a home feeling. The housekeeping, Wone had done a great job in keeping the room clean and tidy. We enjoyed our stay from 30 December 24 to 8 January 25 at the hotel. The hotel also provided a free airport shuttle to the hotel, but we didn't use this service. We booked Uber to the airport and costs around aud 60. We will definitely recommend Studio 8 Residences to our friends.

We had a problem locking the balcony door, and the IT student receptionist helped to resolve the issue by having us change to another room.

Studios are spacious, private balcony is a lovely feature, location is fabulous with a 30 minutes bus ride to CBD // Queen Victoria Building right in the middle of town, transportation at the door, great common spaces to share dinner or catch a game or movie on TV, and a really good cup of coffee that’s included every morning!

We used the common spaces everyday since we were traveling with another couple, we cooked in the communal kitchen and ate in dining area next to it. There are 2 things, in our opinion that could be upgraded. First, cleanliness of cooking surfaces (stove, shelves, counters & sinks) AND having dishes, glasses utensils downstairs in the facility - we had to lug them downstairs for every meal.

Very affordable and clean hotel. The staff are all super friendly and help with whatever you need. There’s a PlayStation setup and some game tables that we didn’t get to use but is super cool to have. Also had a laundry room which you need a gold coin for but it’s super useful. The room itself is very tidy and the shower has very strong pressure and the bathroom itself is clean.

Maybe they can double check that the battery of the lock to enter the room is working before guests arrive because it seems we weren’t the only ones that had that issue.

Spacious, modern and very comfortable room with balcony and kitchenette and large refrigerator. Across the road from Top Ryde shopping centre so easy to pop in for groceries, shopping, movies and cafes. Secure parking facility at a reasonable price. Top roof bbq area and common kitchen, gaming/ lounge area not used by me but also looked great. Good aircon system and acess to fresh air.

Spacious bathroom but no where to hang clothing. My balcony view was of buildings and had strong afternoon sun but heavy curtains helped control the heat.

Location was great. Cross the road from a huge shopping centre with everything you need. The place has an amazing kitchen and an area to sit and relax and have a great view of Sydney. You do not have to be in your room all the time. 24 hour disc makes it easier to come and go any time of day or night two minute walk to a bus stop into the city and you’re there at the town hall. Stop within 25 to 35 minutes.

Everything was good for our purposes

Great location for going all around Sydney. Room is simple but enough for a 4-day stay. Very tidy looking room and great value for money.

Parking space is a bit narrow even for a small hatchback. I was assigned a car park and both cars beside me were too close to the lines upon arrival and had to squeeze out. The person on a Hyundai who parked at bay 32 in 25th Jan has left empty cans of energy drink right on my car spot which was absolutely disgusting and greasy.

The facilities are awesome, good size fridge and full kitchen downstairs (no cooking smell in your room!), plenty of space to eat downstairs too (no cramping up your room with dining furniture). The Top Ryde shopping centre across the road has everything you need. The parking on sure was very reasonably priced and bays were not tiny. Games facilities was a total bonus! Plus no young kids.

Our stay was too short!

Travelled to Sydney with my friends but did not want to live with them so booked my own. The booked Queen-sized room is super clean, with beautiful views of Ryde Park and the skyline of Sydney. Super friendly faculty members and a reasonable amount of parking fees. Good location with many good restaurants near by, also bus 500X direct people directly to city in just 20 mins.

Hope the laundry can be paid for by card. Nothing else could be filled here as this is such a lovely stay.

I booked a single room. Room 504 was clean and tidy, compact and well-laid out but not poky. The chocolates and 'in flight' size complimentary wine was nice. Although the room faced the access road for the Top Ryde shopping centre, there wasn't much traffic in the evening, so it was quiet. Also very handy for the supermarket (open til 10pm) and restaurants, and catching buses.

The bed was a bit firm and if you are taller than 5 ft 5 then you might want to ask if they have longer beds,
