The beds were comfortable and clean, which is all we really needed. Our room was reasonably clean and very spacious. The shared bathrooms were easily accessible. The water pressure and temp was good. We had a bar fridge and ducted aircon that was super cold and tea and coffee in the room which was great for the mornings.

I know the bathrooms are shared and in some of thoes cases not everyone has the same respect for their fellow patrons. In saying that I feel like they weren't being cleaned thoroughly. I went to the same shower both nights we stayed and there was the same dirt on the ground that had been there the night before. With so many people using the same facilities they need to be cleaned better.(I saw the cleaners so clean better guys)

We spent one night as a short layover to refresh and get some sleep before a drive home. It was comfortable and all our needs were met. Staff were great, amenities clean and beds comfortable. It was also a short walk to Sotto within Ryde Park, across the road, a really lovely location for breakfast.

Unusually, there was absolutely torrential rain and wild storm that night and the roof leaked (disturbing our sleep).

Excellent service by the staff, fun pub close enough to Olympic Park to make this a good option if attending events. Rooms were comfortable and have all you need. We took a few rooms, and everyone said they would be back to stay again. The legend who offered to make us toasties at midnight saved us - you are our hero!

There was a lady (another guest of some kind) yelling and swearing in the morning - not the hotel/pubs fault, but it was a bit wild.

Best burgers I especially loved the vege burger, the best!! My husband and kids loved their meals, we decided to eat here again for our last night only stayed 2 nights so glad we found something conveniently inhouse to our accommodation and food was well priced with generous portions (check out their weekly specials) so only made sense. Super quick service and there was only one lad on the first night. Keep up the good work :-) Beds were super comfy!! Good 2nights sleep after a full on 2 weeks we had prior to our arrival. Lovely heritage building -

Stayed 2 nights Nothing wrong with meals, I ate both nights Staff was welcoming & assist full, easy to talk to Comfortable atmosphere Room was perfect for an inner city Hotel,,, nice old Pub ! Priced well for what it is ! I had no expectations. I knew what was looking for that close to Sydney CBD budgeting my finances.

There is so much to recommend this hotel. Its a relaxed vibe typical of an old school pub. The staff are fantastic. The food is great. The Caeser salad is highly recommended. Its huge! Beer is really well priced for Sydney and you have a full bar, so there are plenty of options. The rooms are pretty damn good for the price your paying. Top Ryde shopping centre is a 5 minute walk and has everything. I would like to add a personal note. We could have had a disaster when my wife left her purse behind before releasing it....an hour later. Fortunately it was rescued by the staff. She had a lot of foreign cards not easily replaced. She was so happy to get it back.

Nothing to dislike, Its great, but two things you should keep in mind. There is no direct train link within walking distance, although West Ryde Station is not far away and you can get the 500X bus right outside the pub and its a very short bus trip to the station that costs less than $3. I wish I did my homework on train and bus timetables beforehand. I would have saved quite a bit in taxi's. Also, just make sure you pack a shower sponge/puff (because you get liquid body cleaner) and a pair of flip flops, then its very easy

The staff were absolutely lovely, being upstairs from a bar and bistro was definitely a bonus. Great location and comfy beds.

Some facilities were outdated but that’s okay because it was kept consistently cleaned for shared bathrooms!

Location (easy access to main roads and a few doors down on the same street are chemist, shops, carparks, park). Stayed in room that catered to a large family/group

Balcony could be visibly accessible as wasnt sure if we could use it because of the window like door access and the curtains over it?

Staff were great. Room was comfortable and really close to where we needed to be. An actual key to access the room was great, as I've had problems with electronic systems not working. Great value for money

Having to go to the bathroom to fill the kettle. The coffee mugs were a bit small. The lighting could've been better and a mirror in the bedroom would've been good. The door stop is hard to see as it's black on black carpet so we tripped over it a few times. The tap in the men's bathroom sink came off when I went to use it

Just a great location for me with an excellent room and good service and Guinness on tap in the pub. I was very surprised at the quality of the room given the price. And they had availability at 8pm last minute.

They did ask that I email my credit card to them which as an IT professional I don't consider best practice.
