The location of the hotel itself was great. Great customer service & great coffee, comfortable bed. That's about where the good ends.

The room itself is so unbelievably run down, the walls & curtains were filthy. Thick dust, mould smell, swollen furniture from moisture, no air ventilation in bathroom but a sign saying if that mist gets out and sets the smoke alarm off you'll be charged $1500, The TVs volume didnt work..no sound then suddenly blaring at 50 and unable to turn down, very noisy at night, like train sounds & pipes, the elevator sounded like it could die at any moment. Just to add, we had two rooms and both were in th3 exact same condition, one just smelt of mould more. I'm an asthmatic & allergic to dust, so you can imagine how amazing my stay was.

Staff were exceptional - friendly and helpful! We were surprisingly impressed with this hotel. It was a last minute booking due to our plans falling through. The staff were fantastic at check in, dinner, and check out. Room was fine - comfortable, quiet, and well equipped. Dinner was limited to the lunch menu as there is currently no chef at the hotel, but there was still a good selection. Breakfast was varied and substantial. Better than other Ibis hotels I've experienced, and actually better than the 5 star Sydney CBD hotel we recently stayed at (different hotel chain).

There wasn't enough body wash in the dispenser. We ran out. Not a huge deal though.

The customer service as you walk in makes you feel welcomed, there are plenty parking spots available right at the property at an affordable price, the hotel was clean and it had great facilities such as free water for you to fill your bottle, microwave, games, book, a nice restaurant and couch area. It feels very homey. The bed was extremely comfortable and there wasn’t a ditch in the middle like 99% of the “”queen”” beds that hotels just join together. There were lots of pillows and sheets were clean and soft. The whole room was spotless clean, the aircon was working well, don’t have any complaints.

There is nothing to complain about this property. I just wish Accor or Ibis would allow the manager of this property to manage other Ibises as well since the previous 3 I stayed at were horrendous enough to make me promise myself to never go back, until this one changed my mind.

The staff were simply excellent: efficient, friendly, helpful, intelligent and well mannered. Value for money: 6 out of 5 stars. The dining options in the evening were simple yet delicious. Excellent breakfast: either cold, warm or both, for a very reasonable price. Every aspect of the hotel was clean, and the plants in the reception area were real. The hotel was very quiet.

The fabric on the sofa/seat in the bedroom could be replaced at some stage.

Excellent value for money. Comfortable room. The hotel restaurant was better than expected. We appreciated the ease of parking at this hotel, and were offered a very good daily parking rate. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Thornleigh is not an exciting locale itself, but there are several reasonable restaurants close by. The train station is a convenient short walk away. The proximity of the NorthConnex motorway made it easy for us to get around by car.

Our ground-floor room lacked privacy from the outside as the building is surrounded by carpark. Next time, I'd ask for a room on a higher floor.

The staff were amazing! Every staff member that I encountered was extremely helpful, inviting and polite. Facility was much cleaner than any ibis I have ever stayed at.

Only fault I could make was, a vacuum had been left in hall out the front of my room. During my stay there was an early morning evacuation. I was able to walk over/around this object easily. But had the property been fully packed and disabled people on that level, this could have posed a serious risk.

Rooms and always simple, clean and bed is comfortable. Staff are always polite and it is good value for price.

Depending on where room is located, you can have constant traffic noise from the major road that runs to the front. Previously I have had rooms further to the back of the building when this hasn’t been as noticeable, however, the most recent stay I was facing the highway and the noise was significant between that and the aircon generators which were also obviously nearby.

I liked the comfortable bed, the double glazing (and the fact that the window could also open), the neat bathroom and the friendliness of everyone I dealt with. I found everything I needed - the electric kettle, the tea, the mug, the iron and ironing board, the power sockets for my phone and computer, and good bedside lights. I especially liked the good breakfast in a well lit and comfortable dining room.

I did not have a bedside table on my side of the bed. I just needed a small table for the phone, the book, and the cup of tea.

We had an overnight stay, the checkin was easy and assisted by staff at reception. Our room is typical Ibis capsule style.. compact but adequate for a sleep and early get away.Our room was ground floor so we were able to park with our window viewing….Clean, comfy,quiet and on our main road to the city..There is a cafe with basic foods and b/fast if required. Check out was easy with a key drop box..

Everything was to our expectation ..

Location was perfect for us. Price was best available in the area. The rooms are modular units with a bathroom. They're not salubrious but they are very functional. There are a number of restaurants located within an easy walk. There is also a restaurant in the motel if you prefer. Motel is walking distance to a supermarket.

The towels had a nasty stain on them. They were obviously cleanly washed but unfortunately the stain had survived the laundering. That was a bit gross.
