Very close walking distance to Hornsby Railway Station. Complimentary breakfast such as cereal with bread,with butter and spreads (along with a toaster) also supplied.

Frosted windows so couldn’t see outside. Maybe on other side of glass was another room, not sure about that. I was in room 1.

In Room 3, the water pressure in the shower was very poor and difficult to regulate the hot and cold to get a good temperature to have a shower.

Continental breakfast was supplied in the room for me to make each morning. Tea, coffee, bread for toaster, cereal, milk, spreads and juice.

There were a lot of stairs to take your luggage up.

The staff, cleanliness and location

Photo did not represent the room we stayed in. Our room was very dated, and the tiny room just didn't meet my needs. Recovery following surgery.

Staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. The pub downstairs had really good food. And my breakfast hamper had lots to choose from

My shower wasn't super clean so I opted not to use it

Great location, very comfortable beds and great staff who went out of their way to help us when we’d realised we left some medication in our room after check-out.

The location is fantastic, very close to Westfield, cafes and all the shops even close to the train station. The check in was easy, and the room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was firm but fairly comfortable.

The rooms and hotel Decor was very old, it had an overall smell that reminded me of cigarettes even though it’s obviously a non smoking hotel. I think the carpet has been there since people were allowed to smoke in pubs. The carpet in the room is very old and needs to be changed at the very least. The bathroom was old but decent enough but could use a working exhaust fan. The”breakfast” was a few slices of bead in the fridge and some spreads. Also some cereal packets in the cupboard

Rooms were nice and comfortable. Having a place to eat was great and the food was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good. Right next door to Westfield Hornsby

The rooms are upstairs and the entrance is also up a lot of steps.

Close by to the amenities we needed and the staff were so welcoming! The attached bottle shop and pub regulars were a bonus.

Location, location, location. The best pub room I have ever stayed in. I spent the evening at the bar listening to a great band and enjoyed the bar snacks. Drink prices were reasonable and the locals befriended me as an out of towner.

I was very disappointed that the historical caricatures of past locals were no longer visible as they added an individual ambience the this hotel. I sincerely hope they are in storage and protected somewhere.
