We had a situation where my son accidentally banged his head lying back on the bed. My wife rushed down to reception to get a cold compress, but reception was unattended, so she had to run over to the bar. Thankfully they were able to help. After that Dimi came up to our room with an instant cold compress and to check on my son, very genuine person and afterwards he came up and got my son some chocolates and pop corn. Made my son a lot happier made him smile. Also the Hotel sent us an email after we left to check up on him. That part of customer care was exceptional.

Nobody being at Reception

I stayed here with my extended family and the experience that we had was easily 10/10. I particularly want to give Peter a shout out - Peter ensured that our comfort and expectations were not only met but exceeded in every regard throughout the stay. Thank you so much Peter, we will be absolutely staying here again. The beds were very comfortable and we were content with the space provided in the rooms for our duration of stay. The view of the harbour was excellent and the location is exceptional with being so close to the light rail. We enjoyed several cold beers and margaritas (delicious!) and used the restaurant for breakfast and dinner which were all wonderful. Overall, the location, view and rooms coupled with the amazing service from employees made this stay an easy 10/10. We will stay here again without question, and would recommend this location to anyone. Thank you ibis Sydney Darling Harbour!

The room is very spacious and clean. The bed is comfortable, and we really appreciated the overall quiet atmosphere, which made for a great night's sleep. The hotel is also very well located — close to public transport, restaurants, and key attractions, making it easy to get around. It was a very good value for the money. The staff was friendly and check-in was smooth and efficient. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay without breaking the budget.

There’s nothing specific we didn’t like — everything was as expected, and we had a good experience overall. The staff was helpful, the check-in process was smooth, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. It’s always great when a stay goes just as planned, with no surprises. We felt comfortable and well taken care of, and would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

The location of the hotel was ideal and met all our needs. Maria who met and stowed our bags was most helpful and we did mention to her that we needed two beds in our room. Jatin the Duty Manager was most accommodating, he listened to our concerns and made our experience wonderful. We would like to sincerely thank him.

In the afternoon when we checked-in and went to our room there was only one bed. When we made our booking, we made a follow up call to Ibis and spoke to a reservation staff and specified we needed two beds. We were assured that at the time of the check-in to let the front desk staff know and they will look after us. We were not happy at all and when we queried with staff member Sophia, who was not listening to our concerns. She stated that it was a problem of Booking.com We not impressed that we had to pay an addition $120 for the two nights, also the statement that Sophia made that our credit card may decline when there were customers checking in at the same time. That was inappropriate and inconsiderate statement to make

Loved the team, Era, Martine &Dimi could not do enough for us (Dimi even carried the bags to the Uber when we were leaving) Era posed for a photo as she was so sweet I couldn't resist. Martine showed us how to get around. I was on the second floor and the view of Darling Harbour was great.

There are no power points or USB points on the side tables - I ended up moving the single bed next to the power point so I could both charge & access my phone at night (how to tell the time otherwise ?) either put in access points or have a clock visible from the beds. Mirvac are building apartments in front of the hotel so I fear in future there will be no Harbour view to enjoy. The room is a bit old and tired. Metal rot around the bathroom door, fraying on the carpets - basic and a little dated looking

Excellent location, very close to bridge over Darling Harbour and just minutes from Light Railway and ferry to Circular Quay Comfortable beds, and extremely helpful friendly Staff

Poor soundproofing between bedroom walls Very little storage for clothes, just a couple of shelves and hanging rail Decor, carpets need updating, and no lunch option available in the restaurant, not even a bar snack Notice in lift said ask about a free room upgrade, we did ask as it was his birthday, but told it would cost $30 a night extra which would add up for a 16 night stay so declined

Location was excellent, bed comfortable. Easy access to car park but very expensive. Staff very friendly, easy check in and check out except for a minor problem not having an actual card rather than apple pay.

Very basic (all in one shampoo, bodywash). Walls and doors very thin, could hear other people's alarms and them coming and going. Buffet breakfast very simple, bread was mouldy but replaced. Ok value but probably better at a local Cafe. View was onto next building sadly didn't get the water view. Clean but carpet old and very worn.

I like the location of the hotel, everything was very easy accessible into darling harbour and a ferry very close by to easily access the rest of the city. The staff were absolutely amazing, I didn’t come across one that wasn’t pleasant. from a phone call query I had a couple days before- all queries whilst staying- to holding our luggage after checkout (even holding medication for my son in the fridge) I would stay again

Honestly for the value there isnt anything to dislike about the property

Excellent location for public transport. Within a 5-minute walk, there is both a ferry at Pyrmont Bay on the "F" line that runs to Circular Quay via Barangaroo, Luna Park and a couple other stops, and a light rail station on the L1 line that runs to Central. You can access pretty much everything in Sydney from these points. You "tap on/tap off" both the ferry and the trains using a credit card or Opal card (you need separate cards for each person). Just turn right on Murray Street when you exit the hotel and walk through the first intersection - the L train is on the left across the street (you have to walk down steps at the back of the pavement - not visible from the street). To get to the ferry, just keep walking straight through the first intersection for a few blocks and keep looking to the right. There is a wide boardwalk with a dock on the left extending into Darling Harbor. The hotel also has a nice view of Cockle Bay Wharf from their outdoor patio just outside the ground floor bar, and a 24-hour grocery across the street (a bit pricey, however).

Rooms and hallways were old and dated, definitely need updating. Room was a bit musty when we entered, but air cleared quickly once AC was activated. Bathroom only had combo body wash/shampoo, no bar soap or conditioner, so bring your own. Front desk personnel gave some really bad directions on our first day - had us walk all the way to Barangaroo to catch a ferry, even though we specifically asked about the Pyrmont Bay ferry. We ended up walking about 30 minutes to catch the ferry that had JUST LEFT from Pyrmont Bay on it's way to Circular Quay. So . . . be cautious about asking the front desk for directions, and trust your maps or Google.

manager and staff were excellent. one traveller required medical treatment by ambulance. the next morning manager enquired as to wellness of our sister and advised that her daughter could rest in the room for as long as required. this was very gratifying to know that we were being treated with such care. thank you very much to him, and I am sorry that I do not know his name.

Nothing. All good, close to our venue and the rooms were ready early for us, which was excellent.
