Great location - across from train station and on edge CBD so easy to walk around. Did not have a car on this trip. Crisp fresh linen (beds and towels) provided. Room had a sink and TV and both heating and cooling options and bed was comfortable. Great bar and restaurant options in pub.

FYI - As it states - it is share bathrooms. These are fresh and modern. The toilets however are in the room with the showers so if showers are in use - there are no toilets available without going downstairs. The noise carries in corridor at night so depending on neighbours could get noisy. Was there on Monday night which was quiet in the bar but I think the external noise from bar and beer garden on Friday Saturday would be noiser and later into the evening.

Excellent staff...real pub on the ground floor, with nice beer and not overpriced.. parking out the back was great..had dinner in the restaurant and it was nice.. very close to the centre of the town..2 mins walk...

It's not so much a dislike as an observation, the room was very old and basic, but had what you needed, could have been cleaner... they have shared bathrooms, but I must say I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the bathroom... very nice, clean and roomy..if you looking for luxury this isn't the place for you, but if you want reasonably priced basic accommodation in a good location with nice people and a decent pub downstairs... it's the one..

The property was very cozy. After a long day of driving there was a remote that controlled the air con, ceiling lights and fans. Not getting up was exactly what I needed.

The property was pretty loud. Kitchen staff and music downstairs was loud. That being said, for the price it was - I knew this would be the case. And it all shut down pretty quick and early. Nothing stupid at 3am. And when I arrived I was asked if I needed anything by about 7 different people willing to help. Including walking me to my room. It felt homely.

Easy to reach off train with STN opp. Clean, comfy, quiet, great meals avail, very helpful courteous staff with good humour to a fault, classic Aussie pub, orig Art Deco interior appreciated, sink in RM, comfy bed not too hard not soft so good ZZs had. Tea and coffee in kitchenette for morning start a pleasant surprise. (Even having 1 item lost/moved luggage to pursue next morning the adj hotel and train STN work well.) Ppl recognised from train chose it, too!

We arrived quite late as we had travelled from the Gold Coast but had a lovely warm welcome from one of the bar staff, he said he was new but did all he could to help us find our room and explain the facilities. Our room was lovely but furthest from the bathrooms, a bit of a trek along the corridor during the night but the bathrooms were clean and spacious. The rooms are very peaceful, ours overlooked the courtyard where a wedding was taking place, but the music stopped at 8;30 and we didn't hear a sound after that. We will come again; I have already recommended this place to others as we had such a great experience! Awesome value for money and the bar and restaurant are just downstairs - no need to leave!!!

Closer to the bathrooms :) but we did book at the last minute, so I guess we didn't get first choice of the room location!

Close to city centre and train station Affordable, and staff were good. We've stayed before so we happy to stay here during the cooler months.

Chose to eat in the restaurant and share a steak sandwich with my husband. For the price, the steak was the smallest ever. And never one to complain at all, I actually felt like I couldn't leave till I showed a staff member. Sorry about that, but it was disappointing. Regards Kerrie PS. Tamworth Hotel is exactly what you’d expect in a pub stay. It oozes history. My room was simple, clean & comfortable. The sink and TV were a bonus. Shared bathrooms had been updated in neat Deco style. I wasn’t disturbed by any bar noise. Twas an easy stroll to CBD and train station. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks Team.

My Bonza Sunshine Coast flight to Tamworth cost $39. Bonza services Tamworth twice weekly. It’d be great if Its service expanded. For other airlines charge a fortune. My train trip to Sydney afterwards was serene and scenic.

Great pub with clean comfortable rooms and updated shared bathrooms. Staff were fantastic. Pub has an excellent beer garden as well as a pool table. Love the Paul Kelly and Dolly posters too!

The room was comfy but it’s pretty small for 2 sharing, and there was an air conditioning unit or water heater or something outside the window that would randomly come on during the night and make a really loud noise. I’m a heavy sleeper but it was loud enough to wake us up.

Clean rooms, bathroom as really nice and the aircon and tv was great in the room to unwind and relax. Had dinner in the restaurant downstairs while was amazing and value for money. Having a car park area was great too.

Felt that the staff had no time for me to ask questions, I wanted to ask for the wifi password and also about check out. Would of liked more information on arrival

The location was very good for our travel needs. Although the toilets and showers were not in the room we didn't have any trouble using them and we didn't have to wait for other people. The beds were very comfortable 🥰

There is a set of stairs to go up to the rooms so if you don't have many luggages it's okay.
