As an older person , I didn’t like the necessity of having to download an app to order room service . And as a retired chef , pickled white anchovy, one , and broken pieces of grissini , little bread sticks , are not a welcome innovation to the classic Caesar Salad …hint for kitchen , use real anchovies in oil , and make your own croutons…

There are no free transport options or shuttle bus options after hours. There is the free shuttle to Skygate DFO but after about 5pm there is nothing and taxi's hate driving 10 minutes down the road when they have sat for hours waiting for a big fare. You can get an Uber for about $25. I went for the DFO but the DFO opens at 10am which is way too late for anyone with a midday flight or earlier. In hindsight it might have been cheaper to stay in one of the hotels at the domestic airport and you can get their via free shuttle services and walk and then take the free shuttle to DFO the next morning.

We had a good stay at Novotel Brisbane Airport. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s conveniently located near the DFO and offers easy access to dining and shopping. However, it’s important to note that despite the name, the hotel isn’t within walking distance of the terminals—you’ll still need to take a taxi or shuttle to get to the airport. Overall, a solid choice for a short stay before a flight, just plan ahead for airport transport.

The room and breakfast was great. The fact that kids under 12 eat free at the buffet was a bonus and my 3yr old daughter loved the hard boiled eggs and yoghurt. There are so many options every kid could find something they like. The check in team were great and had the room completely set up for us with a porta cot for our baby. They also arrange our airport transport and nothing was too much trouble.

Our 6month old baby slept in a portable cot. However, it was just a hard base. It could do with a mattress in the future to make it a bit more comfortable for her.

Room was lovely and clean and rather spacious. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic, just 15 mins from BICT and 10mins from the airport. We killed 4 hours in the nearby Skygate outlet center while waiting to check in, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel while we did so.

I booked our particular type of room as both the description and photos said it came with a sofa bed for our teen but there wasn't one unfortunately. The double beds were comfy but very small, I ended up sleeping on the floor because my husband and I couldn't share the bed and the teen had the other bed. (By the time we had remembered about the sofa bed this it was almost midnight and too late by then)

We arrived late at night at the airport and got a taxi to the hotel, it only cost around $8. The hotel is located right across the road from a small shopping centre and the supermarket was open late at night so I could go and buy a few things. The staff was very friendly and gave us a free room upgrade. I was travelling with two kids and we only got to the room, slept and woke up early the next morning to get to our next flight so did not have time to use any of the other facilities.

The hotel was a quick car ride away from the airport, which was convenient both flying in and flying out. The room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The hotel restaurant made grabbing a quick bite to eat very easy.

The one area I thought could use improvement is an electrical outlet by the bed. There were plenty of outlets across the room by the desk, but it took a little hunting to find one close to the bed, which I had to pull the night stand away from the wall to access. In the end, I was able to use it, just took a little searching.

Close proximity to DFO Shopping and Eat Street - easy to locate, and nice and quiet area still close to everything. I have to say this was one of my best stays in accomodation in a long time, the staff were amazing, so helpful and made our stay so special and nice. It was really nice to feel appreciated. The buffet breakfast was lovely and the room was really nice and comfortable. I will definitely be recommending Novotel in the future - thank you for a really wonderful experience and stay Novotel - keep up the great service. Your staff are wonderful and the small touches make the experience so great!

As usual, the Novotel was a fine place to stay, close to the Brisbane airport. The facilities were top notch, bed comfortable, room spacious, and the towels excellent...always something worth appreciating.

The main dislike is the fact that there is only a shuttle service to the mall next door, which stops running at 5:50pm; so if you come in after that, or very early in the morning, you're out of pocket for $25 for a taxi. That just doesn't seem right for customer service. And the morning shuttle stops around 9am, so again, you're out of pocket if you're out of those times.

I was disappointed that there wasnt a pick up shuttle from the airport, just a drop off. When I rang to ask I was advised to get an Uber. I didn't have access to the app, so asked a taxi who were not happy about taking me a shirt distance. I had this problem before in brisbane, and they charged me double fare for the inconvenience. Eventually found out about a bus, that took me to the shopping centre which ended up being a great option. I wish reception told me that straight away. Was a very hot, long and tiring end to a long journey.
