The Palms Motor Inn is conveniently located on the main road leading in to Rockhampton, despite this there was very little, if any, road noise heard from our room. We stayed in a family room consisting of a queen sized bed and 2 singles. All of the beds were comfortable, linens clean and fresh towels on the end when we arrived. The bathroom had a large shower, the entire bathroom was very clean and a hairdryer was tucked away in the vanity. Tea, coffee and fresh milk was provided as well as some other snacks and drinks available to purchase in the mini fridge. We only stayed 1 night as a half way point in our travels but were stoked with the room and would definitely stay again.

If I had to pick anything it would only be that we would have liked another option for hot drinks that weren’t tea or coffee, the kids suggested hot chocolate but that’s just us being fussy.

An excellent little motel on the Bruce Hway, it has everything you need and ticks all the boxes. Nice decor and clean. Blockout drapes, QS bed - very comfortable, small desk & chair, small dining table & 2 chairs, bench with microwave, Nespresso Vertuo machine & free pods, WIR for hanging clothes and luggage storage, large shower (good). Excellent dining across the road at the Rockhampton Leagues Club - it’s really lovely and we really enjoyed our meal. There is also an independent Thai restaurant in the building, but it was closed on the evening we visited.

Fridge a little noisy on & off. Traffic noise would be less noticeable with double glazing.

Big room so perfect for our family of 4. Loved the corner room they put us in as I do prefer to stay away and out of the way of other guests because our kids can be loud. Great TV and streaming services access. Big bathroom with an enclosed shower.

A toaster was provided but no plates or cutlery to eat off so we had to eat toast over the sink and butter the toast with the back of the teaspoon. The microwave took a bit to figure out how to work it but then had to eat the food with a teaspoon.

Customer service was excellent and everything was neat and tidy. Spacious room. Surprisingly quiet considering we were on a very busy road. Would definitely stay there again. Close to airport.

Getting into the property. We needed local knowledge of the roads to make entry safer. Maybe a massage to customers on the best way to enter the property could be helpful.

Travelling through and stayed overnight. We were greeted by friendly staff and immediately was impressed with our room. Very clean and well maintained. Decent sized room. Everything from fresh milk, decent tea/coffee choices to clean linen and super comfy bed was provided. Didn’t go anywhere around town but the location is near food & cafes, so that’s a plus. Will very happily stay again!!

The owners were very nice, My partner and I used the mini bar that was provided as the prices are very fair. Room was cleaned when needed as they do a daily room service. We enjoyed how close it is to the leagues club as we went to the Thai restaurant and the pub restaurant and both times we had great service and the food was great. Will definitely stay here again.

There could be a bit more privacy for the fencing near the pool but still had a couple of swims as the weather was good for it.

Great instructions sent by owners so easy to find. Nothing easily walkable in the area for eating and drinking. Fast food outlets only reasonably close by.

The unit was very clean but the smell of bleach was overpowering. Not the motels fault but no where decent close by to have dinner. Need to drive.

We found the property clean comfortable and well-maintainedCheck in was simple and it was nice to find a small bottle of fresh milk, a coffee machine and a reasonably priced mini bar in the room. It is right over the road from the Leagues club so we had plenty of options, for an easy walk to dinner. We had a really good quiet and comfortable stay in a perfectly located premises.

We love staying here. The family room is perfect for us.

It's great to offer cups for coffee, teaspoons, butter knives, and saucer plates for toast and coffee, but there aren't any bowls, forks, or larger spoons to eat cereal or dinner with. Other than that, it's always a lovely stay. It's so quiet too!

We did not eat Breakfast at the Motel as we had plans to dine somewhere else. We loved the location, the facilities were great and if it had of been a little warmer we would have enjoyed the pool. The room size was quite reasonable and suited our needs. Would most likely stay again.

Like most accommodation the AC always has issues. The main road that runs along the front, so there is a little bit of traffic noise. I am use to no real noise where I live.
