The bathroom was lovely. THe walk-in shower with overhead waterfall showerhead for perfect for my elderly mother who can't use a shower over the bath set up.

The food in the Coal restaurant was too gourmet/specialist. A few mainstream items (not pub food) would be appreciated.

Staff were very courteous and professional. A great location, walk to everything, a classy bar area, we would stay there again.

I still find it frustrating (I know all the 4-5 star hotels do it) when you book online for a hotel in your price range, then when you arrive, find you have to pay a substantial amount to park your car. There needs to be more clarity when you book online regarding parking.

Food was excellent. Staff were great. Location was superb.

When we first checked in we had to change rooms as there is a construction sites at the rear of the hotel. This was done promptly. New room was excellent.

I made the hotel aware when booking it was our 10yr wedding anniversary and they provide us with a bottle of wine and cake! It was beautiful.

The payment process was odd - we paid on arrival. But then when leaving noticed the amount -$100 deposit was also taken/on hold. Which meant we had $1200+ out of our account we weren't aware was going to happen. I don't understand, why you'd do it that way? Why not take the amount we paid, once it's through and we are applicable to getting the deposit back you sent the deposit back later? Not take out double and cancel one? Or if you have to do that, let the client know, so they are aware.

Primarily we chose this hotel because the location was very convenient within a short walking distance to the Chinatown, Central Market and to the Bus Station where we had to take an early coach to Cape Jervis to catch the ferry to Kangaroo Island. The tram to Glenelg stops opposite the hotel too. Overall we enjoyed our 4 days stay at this hotel. Would be my choice of hotel in Adelaide.

If the receptionist could assists in arranging taxi service instead of telling us to wait outside near the hotel which we did but there was no taxi and we had to come back to the receptionist to ask for assistance.

The location was convenient for us to get to the Central Bus Station to join the coach to Kangaroo Island. The tram stop apposite the hotel was also very convenient to move around the city and to Glenelg. The room we were allocated was clean and comfortable with a good view of Victoria Square and the surrounding area.

Most times I noticed there is only one staff at the reception and had to wait a while to be called. I requested for taxi to the airport and was told to go to the nearby taxi stand. My wife and I waited quite a while but no taxi showed up. I went back to the reception and requested for uber transport but was told they only call for taxi which the concierge did and it turned out be a private taxi and the charge was more expensive compared to normal taxi charge when we came in from the airport. I am sure this simple service could be offered to your guests easily.
