Picked this plc becos of the locations and gd reviews.. this plc is close to the beach yet its away fm the main road so light sleepers can get a rest too. We (fm Singapore) came here during Winter (end Jun 2025); worrying that the extreme cold weather in Great Ocean Rd. Michelle, the owner was very friendly and gave us a free upgrade to a 2 Bedrm apartment. You can park right infront of the unit, and facilities in the unit is way better we expected than some other branded service apartments. And they have thermal lamps in baths and electric blankets! Michelle also recommended many gd eateries and their operating hrs due to Winter. She made us felt at ease… Will recommend this plc to our frens.

It was so nice to stay here, right from when we checked in with a warm welcome and quick over view of the location and where to explore in Apollo Bay from the friendly lady in reception. It was clear when we moved into the room that the owner/ manager's take pride in presenting a room that is detailed beautifully thinking of all the comforts you look forward to after a long drive. Everything is provided. The unit was very spacious , living and bathroom was spotlessly clean and the bed rated as the most comfortable we had all trip travelling the Great Ocean Road.

The garden view unit faced the main road and you did get traffic noise. By 9.00 /9.30pm there was very little traffic and there was no noise to keep you awake. You can of course close the sliding door to the unit and use the air con, but we choose to keep the sliding door ajar and enjoy the sound of the waves and sea breeze [there is a sliding fly screen door with a latch to keep the bugs out].

We loved the location. The two bedroom garden room was clean, spacious and welcoming. The amenities were accessible and there is a heating light in the shower that helped during the cold weather when coming out of the shower. We liked that the bathroom and shower was separate when traveling with a group. Amy was absolutely lovely gave us great tips and places to go eat. As soon as we entered she was kind and welcoming and answered all our questions.

One of the smaller rooms had a bit of an odour especially the sheets and the warm blanket in the closet. Made it a tad bit difficult to sleep especially when we can’t open the windows to air our the room due to the cold outside.

If you are planning to visit Apollo Bay, don't bother looking at any other accommodation, just book here! All the comforts of home together with lovely water views (book the ocean view room) and all the restaurants, shops within walking distance. Michelle has gone to great detail to make sure you have all the little extras to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Perfect for people who want to sell cater, as there are basic kitchen supplies. Bed was supportive & comfy. Room was spacious with a lounge, coffee table and small table for meals.

That we had to leave!

We arrived into Apollo Bay by bus and the hotel was conveniently located almost directly across the road from the bus stop. It is also across the road from the beach. Our bus arrived in the late morning so we definitely did not expect to be able to access our room but we were able to leave our bags at reception and we were even given the key so that we could come back in a couple of hours. On arrival back, our bags had already been put into the room for us. We were very impressed with the friendly and thoughtful welcome. We were pleased to find a guest laundry with little bags of detergent for use.

Our stay couldn’t have been better. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Michelle and were given a map of Apollo Bay, and even better a slip of paper with all the eateries in the main strip. Advice on seafood - where to go etc. The accommodation was super clean and everything worked. The spa was our drawcard, and it was big enough for two, had heating in the bathroom and body wash, shampoo and nice towels. (which were exchanged every day as we stayed three nights). The front door of unit 1 garden spa had a little patio on which was a table and chairs where we had breakfast every morning and listened to the surf directly across from us. Our room had a toaster, kettle, microwave and cutlery, plates etc and a little fridge. All super clean! - we took a little electric frypan with us so Otway eggs and bacon in the morning accompanied by bread from the local bakery was a perfect start to the day. We hadn’t realised we were so close to the beach and had neglected to bring beach towels, and while I’m sure it's not something a guest should expect, our host lent us a couple of towels for the day. The flat screen TV was in position where you could watch it from the couch or from the bed. (We enjoyed both). It was a smart TV so we could watch Netflix and the Wi-Fi was perfect. The unit was close enough to walk into town but far enough away to avoid the school holiday tourist noise. Parking onsite was secure. There's usually something that doesn’t work, or there's a downside, and that's part of travel and holidaying. But I honestly have to say these guys have nailed it. PS - almost forgot! I'd left an item in the room, and they were more than happy to post it back to me. We'll be back. Thank you.

The room was spacious and clean and well appointed just across the road from the bay with a beautiful view of the hills and bay. It was close to everything and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable with an electric blanket for extra warmth if needed.It was nice to have a laundry with washing machine and dryer on site that we could use to wash our clothes as we were travelling over 2 weeks m- it only cost $2. We had access from our room to a little patio with a small table and 2 chairs so it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Handy walk to pubs, restaurants, cafes etc. Love Apollo Bay.

It has the best shower facilities. We stayed at a number of places, and it's either that the water jet is not strong or that the water temperature is not consistent. Yours is PERFECT. It is so important in winter. Thank you so much. The heated beds are a bonus for us. And the place is impeccably clean.

It is a really nice accomodation. If there is anything, maybe the kitchen and living room can be brighter. We prefer other types of beds, but that might be a little much to ask for.

The unit was spotless, had a big well furnished and very comfortable living room. The kitchen was small but had plenty of crockery, cutlery etc. I liked the fact that they had two rubbish bins, one for recycling. The bedrooms were also beautifully furnished and very comfortable, good to have electric blankets. It was obvious that the owners went to a lot of effort to share information and instructions when putting together their information folder.

Quick and friendly check-in and a nice clean room with balcony and view to the ocean - we loved that. It was a bit too cold to sit outside, but with the bug screen we were able to enjoy some fresh ocean air inside the room. The room is big, nice bathroom and a fridge to store wine or beer. Beds were comfy and we slept quite well. The location is nice - walking distance to the restaurants - we of course opted for the southern-most pub on Australia's main-land (at least that's what they claim).

If you have an upstairs room like we did, be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. Parking places are on the smaller side.
