This motel is wonderful. The location is close to town. The bed was huge, the selection of pillows was amazing. The room was perfectly clean. Check in instructions were simple. The fridge was a good size and the cutlery/utensils made it easy for us to make lunch and breakfast. There was a kettle, toaster and microwave and even a free guest laundry, washer and dryer! There was a lemon tree and apple tree on our doorstep, a giant lavender bush and lovely outdoor seating areas. The staff were friendly and the price was great. I would 100% stay here again it was just fabulous.

The only thing I could fault this place on was there is outdoor lighting on the pathways and I found this to be a little bright at night when trying to sleep but that is me being very fussy as I like the room to be pitch black when trying to sleep. A night eye mask would fix this issue if you're like me :-) or other rooms might not have this issue if you are not near the path

The room was absolutely fine for our one night stay a we were passing through. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good.

All went well but didn’t realise there was no staff on site. We requested and confirmed and booked a ground -level room as I’m a wheelchair user. Stairs to upper floors will be difficult. On arrival by reception desk we picked up our envelope containing the room key. Discovered we were given a room on first floor. We phoned contact number and we were told that we were upgraded to upper room as it has a better scenic view. This new information was sent by email which we hadn’t seen. Staff member working in the laundry room gave us a key to a ground floor room. So ended well in the end. Basically we would have liked a staff member to greet us rather than just help ourselves especially an error occurred changing from ground level room to an upper floor.

The rooms and toilet were large and clean. Depending on the room you get, some come with a shower curtain while some has a shower screen. Shower amenities and in room beverages were all good. Would highly recommend this as a stopover point for all those travelling along the great ocean road. The beds were rather soft for my liking but my kids were ok with it. As we arrived quite late, the self check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. There are good eateries nearby within walking distances if you do not wish to drive over.

The bathroom had an interesting smell and the blind was not functioning properly, we also had an issue one morning at 3am when the fire alarm went off but upon leaving the room we realised that it was only in our apartment (we had lost power in the room whilst there was a light on in the reception so maybe needs a new battery?) but overall nothing that would stop us staying again

The Sandpiper was a lovely place to stay. Our room was recently renovated so everything was spotless and quite modern. All basic amenities provided in the room and beds were well set up and comfortable. Loved the inclusion of pillows of different types so you could choose the type suitable for your needs. Easy check in/out with all info provided in a text on the day making it very smooth and off street parking available and easy to navigate.

Self check was easy, bathroom was clean and I like having a sliding glass door. Bathroom was cold, but they had a heater which was great.

We didn’t see the two other bed pillows until the next morning. They were behind the television. I wish they just put four on the bed. The other issue was the bottom sheet coming off the bed so I woke up and the sheets were off, which makes me feel gross. Bathroom made weird noises through the night.

The room was spacious and clean. The washroom was huge (by my standards)! We reached at around 5pm, by then the staff had left office. And because we stayed only for a night, we had zero in-person interaction with staff. However, the staff left very clear instructions how to collect room keys and drop off room keys - which was great and hassle-free. We were given rooms on the ground level which was great, this means we did not have to drag our luggage up the stairs, which can be a challenge when travelling with elderly. There was a card that explains it may take a while for the air conditioning to cool the room - the air conditioning worked perfectly, so not an issue at all. The location is a walk short from where the stalls and local supermarket are, which was great. Make a visit to Apollo Bay Bakery - their pies are tasty!

We enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper Motel Apollo Bay. The room was very comfortable Bedroom Comfortable bed, lovely and warm with extra rug supplied. Loved the bedside lamps with charging ports in them. Bathroom. Great spa and shower. Could do with a towel rail near the basin for hand towels Kitchen The kitchen facilities were nice, and the fridge worked well.

Although we were informed that the hot water takes a few minutes to come through, it was a bit concerning to see the water wastage while waiting for it to arrive.

The sandpiper was a great place to stay with my two boys on our two day trip through the great Ocean Road. And what a surprise that we had a bit of an ocean view from the front porch. The two bedroom apartment was fabulous. The heater was great And it was an easy walk into town for dinner.

One of the boys complained that the small bed was a bit uncomfortable. But I swear I smelt lavender in my bed which was wonderful.

We had a wonderful experience at this holiday accommodation! The property was very tidy and clean, and our room was spacious and well-equipped. The self-check-in process was incredibly easy and hassle-free, making our arrival smooth. Additionally, the hosts provided fantastic tips and recommendations for local attractions, enhancing our stay even further. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience and highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great getaway!
