The room was large and spacious, quiet at night and tucked out the way. It was clean and the facilities were well-maintained. There was off-street parking and I appreciated the extended check-in times The motel is central to supermarkets, plenty of restaurants or fast food, and easy walking distance to medical facilities. The air con/heating was perfect.
The parking was a little tight. With a AWD, I was a little more cautious, but that is a personal thing. I was a bit surprised by the unsecured key drop off, if leaving before the office opens. No room in bins for rubbish - piles of rubbish next to over-full bins.

The room, while dated, was comfortable, clean and quiet. Though we could hear sounds from neighbouring rooms, it wasn't disruptive. My husband did sleep with earplugs, but I didn't and slept fine. The bed was very comfortable with lush linen and plump pillows. The shower had great water pressure and very hot water. It was useful to have a microwave, kettle and toaster to fix some easy breakfasts in the mornings. It's in a convenient part of town and an easy walk to the town centre.
There is a steep slope to walk up to get to the rooms, which can be a bit challenging walking on, especially when it's wet. The old room and bathroom facilities were a bit confronting at first, but it grew on us over time, and it was comfortable where it counted (bed, shower). As you can hear some sounds from adjourning rooms, your experience can be impacted by inconsiderate neighbours.

Great location and very large room. Excellent provisions of tea/coffee/milk/ and shampoo/conditioner. Large beds and plenty of linen/towels supplied. Check-in was fast and easy and same on checkout. Large TV supplied however it isn't a smart TV.
Shower floor was slippery and uneven, not very safe for someone with poor mobility. Car park for my room was between two poles and not a proper parking space and you could not open all your car doors. (Loud music nearby until 10.30pm to be mindful if you have small kids)

Location was great. We booked a king double room and a family room. It was a short walk to each room. The rooms are set back off street, so quiet at night, and we didnt hear road traffic or pedestrian noise The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, we were very pleased. Staff couldn't have been nicer. They were very polite and helpful. I loved the bottled chilled water in fridges. Rooms and linen were very nice and clean
The external facades of building is very old and tired, but I think the owners are in the process of updating everything. Don't be put off by it, the rooms were very good and that's what matters.

Pleasant place to stay, and only a 10-15min walk from Ballarat Station and mall/city centre. Clean and visually appealing room and facilities. Friendly reception. Felt like fair value for money.
Lack of cutlery and crockery (only teacups and spoons). Shower floor tiling looked in need of a refresh. Note that, if arriving on foot, room access is via a steep driveway - difficult terrain for anyone with mobility issues, such as we had.

This is a fairly basic motel, but clean with various options for bed sizes etc. Well situated, good plumbing, TV works, bed was comfortable. No complaints re the facilities at all. The motel is in the same building as the Munster Arms Hotel which I can recommend as an excellent dinner option.
No complaints.

Location was great, and up high so good view but no stairs to climb. Comfy room with everything you'd need.
The toilet seat was loose and needed replacing - also because of the gap/groove at the back where the lid goes up/down hasn't been cleaned in a long time as you can't get to it without removing lid. That was a little off-putting....

The room was spacious, comfortable well appointed and clean. The bed was comfortable and cozy, the kettle fitted under the tap and there was even a toaster so we could make a light breakfast before leaving. I would recommend Bakery Hill Motel and would stay there again.
The only negative was the low, deep noise we could hear at night, which was either trucks or other mechanical vibrations. It was not loud but noticeable when we were in bed. I don’t know if it was just our room in particular

October 2024
The room was large, clean and comfortable, there was off street parking and in a good location in central Ballarat, an east walk to restaurants and cafes.
Being in town it was quite noisy- and there was a siren or horn that went off regularly. I think it was the trains but it took a while to get used to it. It was also a bit tricky to find - the entrance is immediately off the roundabout and we missed it a few times!
