8 minute walk from Ballarat station to motel. McDonalds across the road and open late. After stuffing around with V-line and having to transfer to coach on trip from Mernda the room was clean with crisp white sheets, bathroom modern and sparkling clean with a ceiling fan/heater. Having stayed at many motels in Ballarat over the last 40 years this room was exceptional value at $81. Other's charge upwards of $150 and did not come close to how this room was presented. I'll be making sure I keep coming back on future trips to Ballarat.

There was nothing to not like there was tea, coffee and biscuits. The bathroom had generously large bath towels that smelt fresh and actually dried you when used. In the shower were 3 large pump bottles mounted on the wall with body wash, shampoo and conditioner as well as small soaps individually wrapped like the flashy city hotels.

Glad we had a fridge, microwave and airconditioner.

It was not shown when I booked that the room was upstairs and was only accessible via stairs. This was no good for 3 elderly people with walking problems. We then had to take a downstairs room which only had 2 beds which necessitated sharing one of the beds which was not appreciated, Another problem was that there were no instructions on how to use the spa bath. We had no idea how to turn it off after accidentally turning it on and the noise was horrendous. We thought we had turned it off but it came on again a few minutes later by itself. As this was near the curfew time for the spa it was rather worrying.

No fuss. Owners sent code for door of room via text and entry card was placed on bedside table for collection. Also in that text was code for wifi use. Shops/mall a very short walk from motel. Room was large (queen size bed) and extra room with 2 single beds adjoined. Heating, electric blankets, tv with Netflix, etc available. Plenty of light. Spa. Plenty parking for larger vehicles.

Cords on queen bed electric blanket not the best of condition and right side setting fixture dodgy or didn’t work.

The family room was nice and spacious and clean. It was central to shops and restaurants. The reception staff were nice.

The lights didn't work when we entered the room. However, the gentleman from reception got them fixed. The sofa couldn't be used to sit on. It was old and had sunk in the middle, making it uncomfortable. There was a tv in the second bedroom but it wasn't working at all. The tv in the first bedroom also wasn't connected to the antenna, but we managed to get it working. The room was booked for 3 adults, but there were only enough cups etc for 2 guests.

The room was really lovely, the beds were comfy, I loved the bathroom and even enjoyed looking through the patio. Also the hotel was just near the town itself, so we didn't have much to walk fair.

My only problem with the room was that the aircon wasn't working and we had trouble sleeping in the heat. Also the T.V. had bad reception and we couldn't pick any other channels and internet was low. But despite that we still enjoyed staying at the hotel.

The location was great, easy walk to shops as well as restaurants and pubs. McDonalds right across the road for a late night snack if we wanted, everything was in easy reach. Our room was comfortable as was the bed but the walls are very thin!

I didn't like that I found chicken nuggets in the fridge and a full rubbish bin from the previous guests in the bathroom, also a disgustingly full ashtray outside our room. house keeping is questionable here. The brochures in reception dated back to 2015 so they really need to update their tourist information!

The size of the room and the cleanliness of everything. I loved the bathroom. Closeness to all the places I needed to go to during my stay in Ballarat. Nice, comfortable and warm. Definitely will stay again when I visit Ballarat.

I was worried about parking at first, but everything was okay with the parking.

This location was perfect. Close to shops and restaurants and had plenty of on site parking for your stay. The room was clean and had a large spa bath and very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful

We found the property to be a little noisy, with other people around us seeming to wake at the crack of dawn and then making a LOT of noise. Also the TV was quite small, so we didn’t bother watching a movie.

My wife likes that there is a hair dryer in the bathroom.

There is no kettle to make coffee and there are no complimentary coffee or tea bags in the room. I suspect there are bed bugs as I had a swelling and itchiness at the back of my neck. There indoor heated pool should be open at all times and not having the staff to unlock and lock the pool area. Especially as we want to use the pool after dinner. We didn't get to try the heated pool. The car park lots were too narrow for large SUVs and 4WDs.

The stairs down to the car park beside room 1 need lighting . I struggled down the 1st time and missed the last step and stumbled. From then on I used the other stairs. At 5.00pm the light into room 11 wasn't operational making it difficult to operate the lock. The light came on later in the night.
