Room was big, very clean for its age. Bed comfortable and heater was on when we arrived as it was 7 degrees in Winter. Well equipped and we liked the code on the door, no keys to worry about and check out was seamless. Great location and the North Star Hotel right next door was fantastic, meals were superb! Five to ten minute walk to the train station and shops. Train into Melbourne for the footy took 1.5hrs, great countryside to see along the way and super comfortable carriages and so inexpensive.

The only suggestion would be to have teaspoons in the cutlery drawer. Only 1 soup spoon in a room for 2 people. We made do. Also no lift access so of you can't carry your luggage upstairs it would be an issue.

The rooms were so spacious. The bathroom was huge and included a spa bath. The kitchen was well equipped -if you were staying for more than a few days to see the sights, you could cook meals and live comfortably. (We were only there overnight to attend medical appointments.) The interiors are plain but comfortable and clean. The parking downstairs is handy. The pub downstairs offers great food (My photos feature the Pub downstairs) and the cafe across the street opens at 7.30 weekdays to serve coffees and breakfast. The woman on admin was friendly & helpful.

For the reasonable price it was everything we expected and more.

Convenient and Comfortable Stay ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My recent stay at Seymour’s on Lydiard was fantastic! The in-room spa was a nice touch, offering a relaxing option after a busy day, What truly stood out for me were the laundry facilities. Having access to clean, efficient machines made my trip so much easier, especially for an extended stay. The room itself was spacious, clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help with any requests. This hotel is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free experience. I’d definitely stay here again!

It was well beyond my expectations when I arrived. The room is spacious and has everything you could want including a small but efficient kitchen. The bonus was the Spa!! I love a bath and miss it when I travel. What a delight. I have been dealing with either Rong or Jian? (Sorry) SHE has been excellent. Will do anything for you. Always smiling and happy. Another bonus is the laundry. I booked for 1 week. Extended for another and will stay on here for the last 4 nights of my run. I was slightly concerned about noise but didn't hear a thing except the wind,

The space was lovely in the 2br accommodation. Location to the city is fantastic. Pub on the corner’s food is delicious. Main bedroom is facing the street. No noise from the pub during our Friday/Saturday night stay. If using for only sleeping the space is ideal. Staff were helpful.

2br appt needs more couch space to allow number of ppl staying, extras sat on kitchen chairs. 2 seater couch isn’t enough. The kitchen pots and pans and utensils could do with an update. 1 small pot is not enough for a family of 5 to make pasta. Small changes would make a big difference.

Location - so close to walk to the centre of town, but also nice to be in a lovely neighbourhood for local walking and admiring the houses etc. it was easy to find, friendly staff who remembered my name when they saw me in the complex, everything was just very easy. There was a terrific cafe just across the road for great coffee, breakfast and cake

Parking was good, but later at night, pretty full and sometimes a bit tricky for me to park our car in tight spots. We were near the outside steps for all to come to the first floor- this was often noisy, not the owners fault, just I think people didn’t realise that their chatter and heavy feet on the steps carried into the rooms.

Wonderful location for us. Hotel next door has great food. The cafe across the road has lovely coffee and snacks. Spacious studio with kitchenette and lounge area. Weather was very hot and the aircon worked perfectly.

The mattress was a little too firm for our taste. The cover on the sofa was made of a heavy synthetic fabric which was not very pleasant to sit on. Toilet cistern took a very long time to fill..

The room was a good size with very comfortable bed. The shower had good pressure and we enjoyed having a spa bath although only had time to use once during our 4 day stay. Nice to have a microwave in the kitchen and coffee/tea making facility. Complimentary biscuits, tea and coffee.

The only thing we didn’t like was eiher a noise coming from air conditioning units outside or refrigeration unit noise coming from pub next door. . Couldn’t tell which, but it was very annoying and kept us awake at night. Therefore if we stayed here again we would request another room without this noise if possible.

The manager was very kind and helpful. The kitchen facilities were very good, but an internal laundry would have been much more convenient instead of the spa bath which we never used. There was no view or balcony with our room.

Replace the spa bath and put in a washing machine. A washing machine is needed more than a spa bath.

Great location had a great meal right next door at the North Star. The room has very spacious with a decent sized wall TV, couch, table and study desk and kitchenette. The manager phoned and texted details for checking in late without being asked. Very helpful and friendly.

The pillows I’m used to Dunlopillows.
