This Hotel is a little unknown gem of Ballarat, my sister and I where attending a concert on the Saturday night, everything was just so easy and comfortable. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, the little kitchen was clean and had all the facilities that we needed, no real need to bring anything. The bathroom was also clean and spacious. all fittings and outlet plugs working in all the rooms, we had a great time. The TV in the room was an extra bonus as well which we did not have the time to watch. Downstairs had a great atmosphere, we did not have dinner at the Western but everything on the Menu looked good. When we got back from the concert we hit the sack and were asleep within minutes bed was so comfortable, no real noise coming from downstairs or the street. Breakfast was BYO and we had fun cooking that in the shared kitchen, we meet and spoke to other guest making a coffee. Overall this Hotel is really a great find and place to stay, I would stay again and try a meal from the Bristo the next time. This hotel is great value for money also the other bonus was off street secure parking at the back of the hotel. I would highly recommend an over night stay in this hotel if you are planning a weekend away. By the way we also loved the climb up the back stairs to take a short cut to our room with all our luggage that was real fun. I could not fault anything, everything was good, lovely place to meet up for a drink & meal.

Great value, staff were professional and polite. The pub/restaurant served great food downstairs and for a good price. Whilst not in the very heart of the city, it was not far out enough that it was a hassle to get anywhere. Plenty of other food options within walking distance.

Stayed on a weekend and the noise from the pub downstairs was quite loud when trying to sleep, but this is to be expected when staying somewhere above a pub!

Clean facilities. Comfortable room. Fantastic restaurant downstairs. Central location. Everything within walking distance. Close to public transport.

Cheaper drinking options for guests than full bar price for things like soft drinks would be fantastic. A vending machine for example.

it was such a cozy hotel in the middle of ballarat and made it easy to get everywhere, really convenient and super comfortable

the tv didn’t work really well, same with the fan. worked okay but could have been better

The room I had was rm 4. It was fine for a single person for a night or 2. The room needs a bit of TLC. A chair & a mirror would help.

Obviously the wash basins need to improvement as the taps leak and a better location. But I think your working on that problem. Oh and it wasn't me but you had one guest who could not use the back stairs due to an issue with heights.
