The motel is a budget motel right near the centre of Ballarat. You can leave your room and walk into town, to the movies or to a pub or restaurant so the location is ideal. My room was up on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the road. It had some chairs and a table out there and being so hot when I was there, I sat outside in the evening warmth and tapped away on my computer. Very relaxing. There is a small indoor pool as well which most budget hotels do not have. I had a quick dip which on a hot day was very much needed.

The only thing was the size of the TV in the bedroom which was very small and on the far wall from the bed, making it difficult for me to watch when I finally went to bed. I had to sit on the floor at the end of the bed to watch it. A larger flat screen would make all the difference. The shower was a bit weak too - not much water flow.

We had 2 rooms for 2 nights, as we were in town to attend the Cold Chisel 50th birthday concert. Staff were helpful with advice on the best local eateries. Although on a busy road, it was quiet in the room. The balcony also provided a great spot for a morning cuppa.

Shower was really small - a larger person would struggle to get in or out of it, let alone turn around in it to wash. The key was also very sensitive with the power activation. New technology may be required to eliminate the old system.

This was the nicest motel room I've ever stayed in! Not that typical dated, brick walled, beds all lined up in one room motel that I was expecting at all. The room was so fresh and light and modern, it was spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. There was everything you could need, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, iron, hair dryer and more. The heater/air conditioning unit was perfect for a chilly night and kept us all warm. The bathroom was so spacious and again, so clean! Great shower too. Two TVs, very comfortable beds and Shane, the owner, was an absolute joy. Such a friendly and helpful man, approachable and inviting, helpful and knowledgeable on the area too. Will 100% stay again next time I'm in Ballarat and would recommend anyone else visiting stays here too!

Great simple no fuss check in. Great simple no fuss check out. Friendly staff who are there to assist you in anyway they can throughout the stay. Even gave me a coat hanger when my idiot business partner locked his keys in this car. These people look after you well if you have to do a roadshow in Ballarat (which i hope you don't in winter)

Great location, gave our washing and it was returned a few hours later washed and dried for a small fee! Nice room and spacious.

The pool was meant to be heated but was cold! Weren't a fan of the pool texture my daughter scraped her legs a few times as it was rough stone, otherwise a great space. Please provide a clothes rack for towel drying after pool use.

The manager was friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great location. The Manager switched the heating on for the pool after I enquired about kids using it later in the day. They loved it. It was a shame we could only stay 1 night. When we go back to Ballarat we will definitely stay here again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The owner Shane was, as previously, friendly helpful and a wonderful ambassador We feel very sad that he will be leaving

Probably the fact that we were upstairs and my companion has a bad knee so it was a little inconvenient Anyway still a great place to stay. Nice and close to the city centre and good places to eat and relax

Our room came with a small kitchenette where there was a toaster, microwave and hot plate. This was a great bonus for us to be able to have breakfast in the room and not spend lots of money on eating out. There were also plates and cutlery so we had a takeaway in the evening. Room was great and the adjoining bedroom had a tv which the boys loved. Location was fantastic and loads of restaurants right on your doorstep. Host was very friendly and helpful.

Main reason for choosing this motel was to use the indoor pool for my 2.5 year old but this wasn't turned on, so not available which was a little disappointing. The owner did offer to turn it on but it wouldn't have heated in time for us to use.

Loved the location close to Coles, bakers delight. McDonald's and across the road from Pizza Hut. The room was spacious and had a mini bar. Electric blankets, air conditioning, and large bathroom. Balcony just off our room and could watch the world go by. Didn't hear traffic as we were facing the road.
