Basic hotel close to the train station. Not the closest to the city center but accessible by foot (20min). Big room with lit of space. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was practical.

A bit weird to have to wait so much to get the lift each time, something needs to be fixed there. Breakfast needs to be improved, very poor ingredient & quality - shame to be in a country like Australia and to get frozen fruits without any taste.

Clean, well sized room, was a very comfortable stay 1 night stay for a good price. Really good breakfast buffet, would recommend!

Forgot to bring toothbrush/toothpaste and couldn't get any until the next day (hotel room and reception doesn't have any).

Excellent location, very central to lots of places in Melbourne. The buffet breakfast was good. Most of the staff were lovely and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. No complaints.

The breakfast buffet finishes at 9.30 am. One morning, there were 4 groups of people that came in at 9.30 am, and the lady (staff) put up a BIG fuss that they couldn't eat, and breakfast was closed. It didn't impact me, although I recommend they have breakfast until 10 am as there seems to be a demand by a lot of guests.. Also, sometimes there aren't enough people at the front desk. A couple of times, I had to wait 15-20 minutes to be served. On one occasion, I went to my room, and the room key had stopped working. I went down to reception and had to wait 20 minutes to be served so I could reenter my room.

Travelodge Docklands is in a great location for AFL footy at Marvel Stadium. I travelled with my sister and we shared a twin room which was very comfortable. The amenities were good. The bathroom was well appointed and the body wash and body lotion were lovely smelling. The were tea and coffee making facilities and a microwave in the kitchenette area.

The shower was regular size so a bit squishy. The milk and sugar supplied was insufficient for two people. I had to request extra pillows as only one per bed was provided.

I love the location of the Docklands Travellodge. It's close to everything I need and to the places I go. Car parking is included which I love because once I arrive at Travellodge I don't usually use my car, I just catch Trams or walk. I also love the 24 hour service desk as I live in Wagga Wagga and drive down to Melbourne after work so I don't need to hurry to catch the desk before it closes.

The only thing that I can think of is the Lifts, they take too long and can become quite congested in the mornings due to people checking out but it's not a major issue.

Big, comfortable room with all the necessary amenities. The included breakfast was delicious and great value for money. Staff were friendly and always happy to help. I had a late flight out of Melbourne and they stored my luggage for the day. Location was excellent; so close to Spencer St station and easy walking distance to the centre of the CBD or down to Southbank. Also next to Marvel Stadium and a gym.

King bed was two singles pushed together, which made sitting in the middle to watch tv etc difficult. Bathroom sink slow to drain but staff were attentive to this when reported.

Very spacious room, I could have my large suitcase open all the time. One of the closest hotels to Skybus terminal so it’s a big plus for catching an early morning flight. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast, classic and delicious. The self-service laundry with detergents provided was very helpful.

The aircon in some of the rooms could be very noisy and there was no way to turn it off! I have stayed in two different rooms, the aircon noise in the first one was unbearable and I had to use earplugs when I went to sleep. The second room was much quieter and I did have a good rest.

The location is a very central location. Nice and close to Southern Cross Station. Easy to navigate around from the hotel. Breakfast was good, a great variety to choose from. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The cleaning of the room was average. Beds not made daily unless we asked. When the towels were changed we kept missing face washers or hand towels. Had to ask for the body wash to be filled up when it was empty. Our door key stopped working on multiple occasions. Had to go up and down many times get the keys fixed.

I thought that this hotel was absolutely excellent. Located just a few minutes walk from Southern Cross train station (also where the airport buses are), this made an excellent base for exploring Melbourne's CBD and surrounding areas. The room was spacious, the bed was really comfortable (and massive for a solo traveller😆), the bathroom was extremely well equipped. It was excellent value for money too, especially with breakfast included. Breakfast was delicious every morning too, with a coffee machine, juices, fruit, cereals, pancakes, and a buffet selection. It's also very useful to have the fridge, microwave and kettle in the room, especially if you're sticking to a budget for other meals. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, from breakfast staff to those on reception. I simply couldn't recommend this hotel enough.

Whilst I enjoyed my stay, there were a couple of things that caught my attention. The lifts were really slow - not a massive issue, but breakfast time could get a bit congested. Additionally, one morning at breakfast there seemed to be some sort of fire drill, without any alarms but all the fire doors were closed, lifts were out of action and the stairwell is behind fire doors too. It wasn't addressed by staff when we eventually got down to breakfast either! Nothing that majorly affected my stay though, if I'm back in Melbourne, I will absolutely return.

Small but well fitted out room with everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable, temperature control was excellent, hot water excellent, noise levels were very low (double glazed window I think). Great location and everything within walking distance. Staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Free storage of my luggage on last day enabled me to get going to where I needed, then easy pick-up of bag to head to airport.

The hair dryer in the room worked fine, but temperature button was broken so it was a bit of a long task getting my hair dry. I mentioned this to reception the next morning and they apologised and promised to rectify this. A light over the kitchenette would have been better, but it was still quite easy to use.
