This motel was a revelation. I chose it because it was affordable and I wanted to stay in Port Fairy. I was expecting a standard Victorian motel. What we got was a handsome two-storey bluestone building right in the middle of the nicest part of town, with large, luxurious, spotless rooms. The atmosphere was relaxed, the rooms were comfortable and welcoming with no smell of damp. I rarely sleep as well as I did that night. Port Fairy is a lovely little town. Don't miss the walk out to the river mouth, especially if you can go at dusk when the wallabies congregate. There are rays in the river. After the walk, there's a surprisingly large choice of places to eat. Will be staying here again!

Nicely located in the centre of town yet very quiet save for other guests which were never a problem, easy and plentiful parking, very friendly staff, spotlessly clean room, linen, towels etc, tea/coffee making facilities, which are always welcome! And Port Fairy itself was one of the nicest places we visited on our 2 month trip - would recommend!

Slight disappointment was that our ground floor room was very dark due to backing onto a high fence on a couple of metres away - I suspect that a first floor room would be a better option for more daylight. Wifi was a bit hit & miss in our room but that might not be so bad in other areas. No breakfast on offer but plenty of cafes/bakeries nearby so not really a problem.

Central Motel is an old-school, unpretentious motel with simple, but clean and comfy rooms. It is in the heart of Port Fairy, tucked off the main street. The staff were excellent, allowing our group to securely store our bicycles and letting us leave our cars on the property while we cycled the Rail Trail to Warrnambool. Lovely people.

Great location near everything we needed and places we wanted to visit. Staff was accommodating, just had to ring if arriving later than check in times but they've organised catered to the requests.

Would've needed air conditioning if it were a hotter weather. No cooking facilities.

We had a lovely welcome and were given the choice of two rooms. There is no aircon but the temperature made that ok. The room was small but very cosy and sweet and the facilities were good. The location is great, close to the main street and a few minutes walk to the quayside.

Air con is always useful but our room had windows on two sides which allowed a through draught.

Location cleanliness could not be faulted

Our only problem was the weather at the time was very hot and the unit had no air conditioning. A good fan was supplied but the only way to get a through breeze was to prop external doors open. Otherwise the motel was perfect for our needs

I liked the location right in the main street. And it was very quiet at night. And your car is safe. And we could walk to the beach and shopping. The staff were very friendly. I highly recommend this place. And we will come back again soon.

Middle of town but very quiet location. Reception very helpful with local suggestions. Clean + well equipped with crockery etc.

Bathroom basin tap was a bit difficult to use.

As soon as I walked into the office I was greeted with a smile and good old customer service. The lady was very cheerful and straight away asked if I wanted a container of fresh milk. Veery hospitable. Great location. Will be back

I got the check in date wrong but it was no stress and they were very efficient and accommodating Possibly the most comfortable bed Ive slept on in a ,otel or hotel
