The room felt fresh, newly made over and clean. The gardens and outdoor areas were well maintained also. Staff were wonderful (a special shout-out to Tegan, who was so helpful in meeting our needs in concerning toiletries, towels and sheets)
It was probably be to be expected, since the rooms are at the back of and part of a pub with live music but the outdoor courtyard area of the pub faces the rooms directly and this is where live music and large crowds gather. A few nights, the noise was a disturbing factor, particularly late at night up to and past midnight.

Clean and very comfortable stay. Sufficient and quite ideal as a base whilst visiting Port Fairy and walking around Griffith Island to the lighthouse. Renovated bathroom. Kettle and toaster supplied, plenty of toiletries and hairdryer provided. Small table and two chairs. In historic buildings, reception inside the pub. Colourful flowers looked beautiful against the white walls. Right in the middle of town. Good water pressure and shower. Good wifi and internet connection.
The bathroom was small with shower and toilet, the sink was outside the bathroom. No microwave and limited cutlery (one teaspoon and two knives). Parking in the motel grounds was limited; overflow parking was on the street.

Comfortable, clean hotel/motel accommodation in the heart of Port Fairy, within walking distance of shops and eating places as well as the Moyne River and the wharf. Room was a good size, and included a small wooden table and chairs for eating, and two armchairs and a side table. There are also wooden seating benches outside the rooms. We appreciated the provision of bottled water as Port Fairy's water doesn't have the nicest taste. The dining room next door at the Caledonian Inn has a seniors menu Monday - Friday. Fish and chips were delicious! Staff were very helpful and friendly.
No soap holder in the shower!

Location Standard of facilities good
Property very good. Main problem was attitude of man checking us in. I don’t know if he was the manager but he obviously is not suited to working in the hospitality industry !! Advertising free Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi just would just not work at all in property (room one). As previous reviews mentioned a fair bit of noise from pub opposite room 1. Did request we didn’t have room one but not able to grant this request!!

I stayed one night at this pub accommodation and had a positive experience. The rooms, located behind the pub, were self-contained and offered a surprising level of privacy. They were clean and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. The on-site restaurant, the food was good, making it convenient to enjoy a great meal without having to venture far.

We loved our stay at The Stump. We are a family of 4 and the accommodation was modern, comfortable and very safe. The accommodation is positioned next to the pub (make sure you have a meal it’s delicious) they are little units with parking. Our room was renovated, modern and beds were comfortable. We appreciated the breakfast bar and amenities provided. You’re right in the middle of town. A 5 minute ride/scooter to Griffiths Park with the lighthouse.

Good price, room nice and clean, parking right outside the room. (They are Motel style rooms) Restaurant serves delicious food. Nice atmosphere. Bar and rest busy on a Saturday night. Took a little while after closing hrs to quiet down but was by no means too disturbing. Would definitely recommend for a good value stay. We stayed 3 adults in a room with a large double and a single. It is not big but fine for one night.

This was a last minute booking for us as we were travelling through and only had the one night. Port Fairy itself is lovely, but this Inn was a gem and we really wanted to stay longer. Great value for money, clean, right in town and the staff were so friendly. The bonus was the actual pub, the oldest licenced pub in Victoria. We indulged in a few pints with some locals and sang along with the live band. We will definitely be returning.

Good central location, close to shops and restaurants. Not too far from the beach. Very friendly pub which has modern, comfortable rooms in renovated outbuildings next door to the pub/inn. Clean and welcoming. Not a huge space but plenty big enough for our one night stay. We would have been happy to stay longer. Staff were helpful and welcoming.
Our room was near the pub garden but this wasn’t a problem once the pub shut.
