Lovely stay in one of the three rooms at the Oakdene winery. We stayed in the Marilyn room, bit of Marilyn memorabilia but not overpowering. Room was large and comfy, nice and welcoming breakfast basket ready for you on arrival, two tasty muffins on our first day, croissants on our second, powerful and warm shower, toilet has wall to wall glass door which is a bit strange at first, but all in all, a nice place to stay above the Manor Suites winebar down below where we watched a bit of music on the Saturday night before retiring upstairs to our room. Good for a treat weekend as not far from Ocean Grove, few minutes drive down the road.

Can't think of anything really, we stayed two nights over Easter and it was a lovely way to get out of Melbourne and have a weekend away.

Everything !! Driving in through the gates l knew we had a special place to stay. Grounds were stunning. Accommodation was beautiful, we had the Water room so overlooking the outdoor area. Bed was comfy, coffee machine, room spotless. Everything we needed. Cellar door quirky, staff knew their wines super friendly and helpful! Cocktails before dinner, wine bar eclectic style was delightful, again staff super friendly! Over to Mr Grubbs for dinner, food was perfection 👌 Dessert Tiramasu 10/10. Staff attentive also super friendly. You could see all the staff at Oakdene loved their jobs and were a credit to the venue. We will definitely be back !!

We arrived and were warmly greeted by the staff in the restaurant in particular Jess. Dined on Arancini Balls and Lamb Pizza with Oakdene Rose and Sav Blanc. Jess ensured our room was ready as we rushed to Blush Hairdresser to be glammed prior to a very special wedding at Curlewis Golf Club. Jess had our left over pizza and a bottle of Oakdene Proseco in our room as we finished getting ready. Jess then popped up with a breakfast goodies, wanting to ensure the lighting in the room was ok for our make-up prep. We had booked an Uber which did not arrive, in a bewildered, slight panic of planning Plan B, Kai saved us by offering and driving us to the wedding venue. Exceptional SERVICE!! Thank you all at Oakedene for making what was a special occasion OUTSTANDING!!! Andrea and Steph :)

Not staying longer!

Loved my stay in The Water Room at Oakdene. My favourite colour is blue and I loved the blue colours and decor of this room (with a splash of yellow), not to mention the quirky bathroom built into the water tank. The breakfast hamper was delicious, and lucky for me as a solo traveller I got an extra croissant for breakfast! Fortunately I cycled all afternoon on Sunday to work off the extra consumed calories!! Bed was extremely comfortable, so much so that I slept in and had a very lazy Sunday morning. Grateful for the 10.30am checkout. Loved the view over the garden from my room. So enjoyable wandering around the well maintained, creative, interesting gardens. Topped off my stay with lunch and dinner on Saturday at Mr Grubb cafe/restaurant on site which were both 10/10 meals. The Oakdene Shiraz was an excellent drop too. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay. Highly recommend for a fab weekend away 😃

Nothing, it was as perfect as could get. I was blessed with the most perfect Spring weather too on the weekend I stayed at Oakdene

We loved this location so much, we even considered staying an extra day! We would have if we didn't have an international flight to catch in the morning. From the live music and excellent cocktails, to the thoughtful and personal breakfast items that were waiting for us in the room, this place was magical! And such cool, unique grounds as well - we loved the up-side-down house.

Can't think of anything!

Really loved our stay here. The Marilyn room was gorgeous and so well thought out. Loved all the quirky touches around the property as well. The Cellar door wine tasting was lovely. Manor Suite Staff were amazing and friendly. We dined at Manor Suite Wine Bar, food and wine was amazing. They had someone singing which created a great atmosphere. Would definitely stay again.

I liked the communication from them to advise check in process and enjoyed the complimentary food and drinks left in the room. The Mr Grubbs Bistro food was lovely. The walk around the estate was lovely and calming.

Unfortunately for us, we booked to stay on New years day which is a public holiday. This meant the cellar door was closed. My booking error, I should have checked before I booked.

Very quirky place with lots of art and sculpture around the bars, guesthouse and the gardens, which are amazing! The three rooms are all different but very nice, with quality bedding and towels. The Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother was a good addition to the room. Staff were all very pleasant and efficient.

Breakfast basket provided was very adequate, although we would have loved fresh rather than longlife milk to add to our coffee and have with our muesli.

Loved the venue, the staff, the garden and the design of the rooms. Very comfy bed, delicious breakfast basket for whenever you wanted.

Not mowing lawn in the morning. Only one bedside light. Marilyn room (where me son stayed) window didn't quite shut and breeze rattled the blinds which was annoying at night. Ceiling fan would be nice but thats just me, the air con worked perfectly well.

Ideal stop over after enjoying an afternoon of live music from resident artist Tom. Evening meal ar Mr Grubb was good too. We were in the Marilyn room which is designed in neo-romantic style. Not particularly our vibe, so will try and book the more rustic Water room next time. Also an ideal spot to visit all the attractions on the coastal road between Curlewis and Ocean Grove. Recommend you stay in the area for 2-3 days.
