The location, the history of the property, the antiques, and the objet d'art pieces. The well-kept gardens that give off a peaceful serenity. The bandicoots freely roam the grounds along with parots. The Rose Bridge house & B & B is exceptional, and to me, I felt like I went back in time as it has been mostly kept to its original glory. Pete & Julia are absolutely wonderful, and they prepare and cook your breakfast ( Pete does the cooking and our breakfast was delicious). I really could go on. However, you really should make a booking and experience this exceptional place for yourself. It has a warm, homey feeling. I am glad I found this gem 💎

That we didn't get to stay longer.

We really enjoyed our 5 days at Rosebridge B&B. The owners are very welcoming. The house feels very homely and is set in beautiful gardens in a very peaceful area. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful.

Nothing major but the layout of our suite was unusual. A smallish double room with a very spacious bathroom accessed from the garden as well as the bedroom. More space in the bedroom and natural light would have been good but probably not possible as this is a beautiful old house.

Truly beautiful homestead (restored 100 year old stately home with beautiful gardens); exceptional service (Julia and Pete went out of their way to ensure we had everything we need - and actually above and beyond on several occasions); absolutely exceptional breakfast (we had porridge one morning and the best scrambled eggs and bacon we've had at a B&B; there is also fresh fruit and coffee / tea / cereals if you prefer - and a menagerie of Australian birds and quendas / bandicoots to watch in the garden eating seeds together while having breakfast), delightful place to stay, and all the usuals in great places - large bathroom with shower, great bed, fan, aircon etc; a 10 min walk to a really great cafe (French patisserie) and restaurant (embers) and 15 mins into Kalamunda centre; nice little bush walk between the two roads also to get there; easy instructions to get in after hours; great pool to cool off after a day of exploring.

There were no bath or cooking facilities (but we didn't need either) so the place was perfect for us.

We loved that Rosebridge was a calm peaceful retreat. It offered privacy through external entrances to the room, as well as an outside patio to enjoy the garden. The rooms were filled with country charm and beds were comfortable. The breakfast had a number of options including a cooked breakfast which we enjoyed surrounded by the Perth Hills wildlife. Julia and Pete were great hosts and very accommodating on days we had an early start.

Beautiful property. Loved the visiting wildlife - bandicoots, ring necked parrots, kookaburras and more. Comfy bed though very high. The place was lovely. Great breakfast.

Couldn't sit on side of bed as too high but chairs are provided, difficult to get in and stand on claw foot bath to have shower as bath was quite curved and nothing to hang on to. Recommend rooms with walk in shower for those with mobility issues.

Loved the comfort and the natural style. We had room 4, it was amazing but we had to leave early the following morning so we were unable to have the breakfast. Shower and Spa was amazing Bed was so comfortable

The Aircon in room 4 turned itself off every 30 minutes. This was so frustrating, we tried every option on the remote and even googled. But it is locked to the WiFi and it would never stay on. This made the room very uncomfortable and was incredibly frustrating as it was quite humid and hot that night. TV was nice but would definitely prefer to see a smart tv that we could stream to or log in to, although the DVD and library was nestalgic. Also maybe slightly bigger TV with better quality picture. 😊

Amazing Bed and Breakfast! Would return I a heartbeat. Beautiful gardens with wonderful wildlife! Beautifully clean with lots of privacy and puker facilities. Both the husband and wife team were very friendly, making you feel relaxed and very welcome. The brekkie was top notch, homemade and knocks a hotel buffet out of the ball park!! Well done team, we will visit again and tell many!!

Absolutely nothing!!!

The breakfast was quite exceptional - great choice with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, equally fresh thickly sliced bread, fruit juice, coffee or tea to select - while the hosts came round personally and asked what type of cooked breakfast we'd like. Delicious.

Absolutely nothing. What else can I say - the entire two-day experience was delightful, leaving us with a beautiful memory.

I booked this place for my dad. This is what he had to say: “It was absolutely beautiful sitting outside my lovely little cottage style room on the verandah setting, watching the wildlife - bandicoots, Australian ringnecks, Kookaburras and Black Cockatoos. The most perfect little place to stay with wonderful hosts and a delicious breakfast everyday. I will definitely be back again! I have told my friends about this little gem that is nestled in the hills.”

I wasn’t staying longer

The stay at Rosebrdige was a memorable one for myself and my partner. The accommodation aesthetic, various amounts of greenery and wildlife made it feel like a little getaway into nature. We had two chairs and a small table just outside our room, which encouraged us to sit outside and take it all in. The location had a magical element to it right around golden hour (sunset), and it was very peaceful and serene. Don't be surprised to see numerous quendas (bandicoots) around the property, especially as the sun settles. Sitting still and watching their adventures was a memory I wish I could've captured more. The following morning we met our hosts for the first time, and both were lovely, friendly people. Breakfast was provided, and it was delicious. My partner commented on how well the poached eggs were done! Coffee and tea were provided, and the dining area was situated in a location overlooking a nice patch of garden. The hosts left some oatmeal out, and it was nice to see various wildlife (parrots and quendas) coming so close to our viewing point to grab some food! In hindsight, I wish we could've stayed more than one night! I highly recommend bringing a book or something similar to disconnect from the world while you take it all in when visiting.

There are some small things to be mindful of when staying here. The room we stayed in (suit 5) had skinny walls, and you could hear other guests nearby. This was unfortunate as another guest was coughing quite severely throughout the night. (Not something that can be helped). The location, while excellent, is also near a couple of reasonably busy-ish roads, which can detract from the overall vibe if you are situated in the same suite we were in. As it died down / during the night, it was not noticeable. Lastly, my partner mentioned that the showers not having a glass screen or shower curtain was a bit different. Overall nothing that would prevent us from coming back, to be honest.
