The view from the room was amazing (15th floor), the hotel is very clean, modern and easy to access by public transport. The reservations manager (Paula) arranged a lovely birthday surprise for my partner in the room and made it very special for him. The hotel is close to all amenities and the hotel provide a lot of facilities too - roof-bar, restaurant, gym etc. The breakfast was also exceptional, a buffet to suit all cultures. Overall, a very positive experience of the hotel management itself.

We were not informed prior to arriving that there was an upfront deposit of 200 euro upon check-in, we did pay it but it would have been nice to get advance notice as the hotel room rate is already quite expensive so others may not be in a position to pay this. Also, the night-time receptionist was not very attentive and allowed some guys who came in from the street to cut ahead of us while we were waiting to check out - we almost missed our early morning flight as we waited almost 30 minutes to check out. Apart from this, the rest of the experience was very good.

Nice hotel in a great location. A beautiful, clean, and quiet hotel. The location is excellent, perfect for exploring the city - with public transport only 10min away. The breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of everything you could want. A relaxing and pleasant stay overall.

Some small details missing for this standard While the hotel was generally good, there were a few things missing that you’d expect at this level — such as a complimentary bottle of water and slippers in the room. The price for adding breakfast felt too high, and it would be nice if the hotel offered a parking discount for guests for parking (30€ per day).

Staying in the tallest building in Austria is always special. Our family room was spacious and well-appointed. Both the main bed and the extra bed were comfortable too. Breakfast in restaurant "57" with breathtaking views of the Danube, Prater and the whole of Vienna was a treat. Though outside of the city centre, the hotel can be easily reach by U-Bahn line 1 or by taxi/ Uber.

Our check-in took very long - they couldn't find our details in the system, though we checked out just the previous day. Room service was a disappointment - the food was substandard. E.g. instead of the ordered pear/ brie/ walnut salad I received a feta/ lettuce hearts/ hazelnut salad.

The whole experience was AMAZING! The location is great. The facility is so fancy, I would like to go back any day. Very clean, with very warm and responsive staff. The best! The view of the Danube from my room was simply EPIC. Couldn't get enough if it. The room design and large glass windows, top to bottom, made the experience on their 13th floor worthwhile...was .only well spent. The proximity to the train station is worth a mention too, as it makes movement with the city such an easy task using public transport.

I canr put a finger to anything...such was the amazing experience I had.

October 2024

I had a great stay at the Melia Vienna in October 2024. The room was spacious, modern, and well-appointed, offering stunning views of the city skyline. The bed was not that comfortable, which can be improved to medium/firm mattress. Breakfast was a real highlight—there was a wide selection of fresh, high-quality options, from local pastries to international favorites, all served in a stylish setting. The hotel's location was also very convenient, with easy access to public transportation, making it quick to explore Vienna’s main attractions.

the bed was not as comfortable as I had hoped, which slightly affected my sleep. Apart from the bed, everything else was perfect.

Very impressive hotel , excellent roof top bar with great views and cocktails ,two min walk to the underground station which can take you all over the City and airport , very nice and helpful staff , we didn’t eat there so cant comment on the food but the restaurant’s looked impressive , there is a great coffee and patisserie cafe just across the road which was great for grabbing breakfast , this hotel was recommended to us by our daughter who stayed there a couple years ago and it did not disappoint,

Very tight on coffee pods in the room and the milk was horrible , coffee wasn’t much better, would be nice if they left you few biscuits each day, Instructions regarding the room service was rather confusing and no menu. Minor issues really

The bed on the standard room was exceptionally large! a pleasant surprise! The room in itself was gorgeous, so much room and a beautiful modern finish!

Unfortunately outrage didn’t work, the bathroom door didn’t close, which wasn’t the best when on a first holiday get away as a couple getting my partner to leave the room so I could use the loo was very inconvenient, the view was just a massive building site so I feel that room in itself is over priced for “the view” our TV wasn’t adapted for my arrival and was still in the previous guest name so using the tv became a challenge as it was still connected to his phone, apparently these couldn’t be fixed until Monday, which wasn’t the day we were checking out as we booked a 2 night stay

The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The decor was stylish and the bed extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The view from the room was breathtaking -Danube and city Centre - offering a stunning panorama of the city. The amenities provided were top-notch, and the attention to detail in the room’s setup made it feel like a home away from home. The breakfast at Hotel Melia Vienna was a delightful experience. There was a wide variety of options to choose from, catering to all tastes and dietary preferences. The quality of the food was excellent, with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors. The breakfast area was well-organized and had a pleasant ambiance, making it a great start to the day. The hotel’s location is one of its best features. It is situated in a calm area with excellent train connections, making it easy to explore Vienna. Despite being central, the location is wonderfully quiet, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Additionally, there are convenient amenities nearby, such as a supermarket and a makeup store, which added to the overall convenience of the stay. I cannot praise Irina enough for her exceptional hospitality during my stay. From the moment I arrived, she greeted me with a warm smile and an incredibly welcoming demeanor. Irina’s attention to detail and dedication to ensuring every guest feels special truly stood out. She went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable, always ready to assist with any request, no matter how small. Her genuine care and professionalism were evident in every interaction, making me feel valued and well taken care of. Irina’s ability to anticipate needs and provide thoughtful touches throughout my stay added a personal touch that made all the difference. Robert was also amazing during my stay, welcoming, kind, very attentive.

Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike about my stay at Hotel Melia Vienna. If I had to mention something, it would be the limited options on the lunch menu and the bar closing earlier than I would have preferred. However, these are minor issues in the grand scheme of things and didn’t significantly impact my overall experience. Everything else was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this hotel.

What I loved most about Melia Vienna Hotel was the stunning view from the room — truly one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. But what made the experience even more special was having breakfast on the 57th floor, with an unforgettable panoramic view over Vienna — one of the most breathtaking sights I’ve come across in Europe. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Vienna.

Honestly, there was absolutely nothing I didn’t like. Everything was perfect — from the cleanliness to the view. I was completely satisfied.

I truly enjoyed the flair and the whole of this modern part of the city with the Danube nearby. The view from the top (Bar and Restaurant on the levels 57th and 58th) was spectacularly beautiful, the staff nice and friendly.

For our staying of five nights and days, I would have chosen a room with Level access situated higher as the 9th floor and not a room with a view of a working construction, working continuously from monday to saturday.
