Excellent location, easy to find off Market Square. The family room was excellent, spacious and clean. Check in and out was easy. Breakfast was wonderful. The staff were lovely, helpful and personable. They were very accommodating to our group which we greatly appreciated. Easy walk to Market Square, other attractions, restaurants and pubs. There is a shuttle service available from the Bruges train station to Market Square for around 3 euro per person. The shuttle stop is an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel. Would highly recommend Hotel Marcel.
Nothing - everything was great!

I was on the third floor and liked the location, my friends were on 2nd floor. I had a nicer room with the entire bathroom behind a door, my friends had the sink in the room and shower/toilet separate. The bed was very comfortable and there was enough room to move around. Location for walking around was perfect. Really enjoyed the breakfast selection
Not the hotel fault. There was a bar that closed @ 0230 and the patrons ended up on the street behind me, hanging out for a hour or so and were loud. Had to close windows to sleep.

The location was magnificent! There is no better place to stay if you want to be in the heart of the city. The staff were lovely! They provided us with any additional amenities we needed (a hotel water kettle). Rooms were small but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided was really tasty and full of various items.
Because the location is in the heart of the city, we were able to hear dance music from a club through the walls on Friday night. However, the hotel provided ear plugs, so it's manageable. Rooms are very small, and bathroom walls are glass. If you want any privacy from your family/friends, it is a bit difficult to get. There are additional bathrooms on the ground level, however.

Hotel location was excellent for the centre of Bruges, lots of great places to eat within yards of the hotel. The hotel had a modern interior, well decorated and laid out. Our room wasn't very big, but well designed and comfortable. with a large shower area. Very clean! We had the continental breakfast in house on Christmas day, it was very reasonably priced, with fresh bread, fruit, cereals eggs etc. Access was straightforward when there were no staff on duty, and staff we met were friendly and helpful
There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Receptionist was very nice. Room was nice. Location was amazing. The beds were the most comfortable beds in all of Europe. There is even a laundromat attacked to the hotel in case you need to wash some clothes.
A common problem I ran into while traveling Europe was that Queen/King size beds were actually just 2 twin beds mashed together. This meant someone was always falling into the crack between the beds. These were the most comfortable beds in Europe until you hit the middle Crack. That's the only reason I deducted a point from an otherwise 10/10 hotel.

The property was so close to everything, ideal location. Was small boutique style hotel which suited us fine for a few days away. The room was warm, bed very comfy and the view from the third floor out to the bell tower was a wow factor for me when we first arrived. Sophie was very helpful when we arrived and if you drive I would recommend the parking they suggest 50 meters away, it’s safe, secure and plays cute music.
Nothing. I’ve seen people write about the grumpy man on reception, catch him at the right time and he does smile, I promise.

Breakfast was excellent! Bread, cheese, ham, jam, cereals, eggs, waffles , croissants and many more… there is something for everyone. Location was excellent!! Close to the main square and restaurants. Staff was very helpful and the hotel was very clean! The bike rental store is 1 min away if you are intere In biking around!
The room was a bit too small and there were no drawers to put the clothes in… also in the bathroom there was no hook for the towels which made things pretty uncomfortable when taking a shower.

Breakfast was comprehensive, fresh, and delicious. Sophie, the manager, was kind and thoughtful, and our rooms were very comfortable. The option to store our luggage enabled our family to make the most of our stay in Bruges, and Hotel Marcel’s location is perfect. We had originally booked a room for just 1 night, but decided to stay 1 more night!
We have no dislikes to share.

The location is excellent! Very close to the center of Brugge. The room wasn't large (but we knew that in advance) but modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! Staff was very kind and wanted to assist/help when ever necessary.
The private parking of the hotel was full (we knew this upfront). But parking in a garage (700 meters from the hotel) in the Ezelstraat was ok. Advice to book/reserve a room not at the street side on a Friday night because it's very noisy by youngsters that continue partying outside (the cafe's) in the street in front of the hotel.

The location could not be better. Just round the corner from the central Markt / main square, yet quiet at night in the accommodation. We had a suite with 2 spacious and nicely furnished bedrooms. Very clean. Excellent breakfast - there's a waffle maker which our two girls loved. Staff very friendly and helpful.
