Location is excellent for those who travel via Gare du Midi - you just come out of Gare and you are at the hotel. Very good for those who catch early train/ flight. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. I took a room for three persons to have some more space - and it was worth it. Otherwise the hotel totally complies with IBIS standards. I read a lot of comments on Booking about issues with some unpleasant strangers when you leave the hotel. I left at 20.00 , went to the Grande Place on foot and came back - experienced no problem.

Near excellent transport links, train station is busy all times of day and night don't be put off by scare stories regarding the area it's not that bad we was safe as a family of 3 who walked to and from our hotel 3 days early am and late at night to and from the shuttle coaches for f1 no problem and used the trains and metro to travel around Belgium no problem plenty security around too, yes there's a few homeless but they are no bother in fact i felt safter here than i did in many places in the uk. Hotel great location for travelling locally and further afield. Nice staff and do great pizzas , nice room sizes, and comfortable and cleaned daily, can't fault anything.

Very convenient for an overnight stay between train journeys. Facilities very good, and the room anonymous but comfortable. Clean throughout. I didn't have the breakfast, so can't comment.

On arrival, there was an unnecessary wait to check in. Despite there being four members of staff behind the counter, only one was dealing with customers - one other was glued to his computer screen, the other two were gossiping.

The room was quite large, and the bathroom was also very convenient. Everything was very clean and the shower was great. The furniture was standard, nothing special, but did a good job. The breakfast is a buffet, which had a really large assortment of everything one can think of (warm dishes, cold buffet, sweets, fruits, yoghurt, waffles, tea, coffee, juices, etc.). Staff was very friendly and assisted if something was unclear. The location of the hotel is great for travellers arriving by train to Gare du midi, because the hotel is just opposite the station. Also the tube station is located there, so everything can be reached perfectly by public transport.

The area around Gard du midi is not the best and nicest one. But this did not trouble us in our travelling plans. Location near public transport is perfect.

Easy walking access from Gare du Midi, so perfect if you’re coming in on the Eurostar and want a reasonably priced place to stay before moving on. In addition to the station mall, there’s a decent choice of nearby restaurants and a few shops nearby, plus the hotel sells a decent array of travel essentials and snacks at reception, which is handy. Staff were efficient and helpful, and the double room I booked was a good size, clean, comfortable, with all the basics required for a short stay.

Nothing, it was exactly as expected, and since we only stayed one night, I didn’t form any negative opinions about the property or location.

excellent location next to train station and bus routes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean, comfortable and spacious enough. There is "air flow" but no air-con.

the neighbourhood seems a little roudy in the evenings which makes leaving the window open difficult, it appears people gather around a cafe, some look homeless, urinating in the streets, sounds of glass breaking. There is no lock on the bathroom door. The shower tray is very slow to empty and there was evidence of overflow/spill, and i had to stop the shower for it to empty before continuing.

Excellent place to stay if you are needing to catch trains/Eurostar. Exiting station by track 22 you cross the road, turn left and walk 1 minute and you are there. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was small but ok for overnight. Lots of pillows supplied on the bed - heaven! We were able to store our luggage while exploring the city. Need coins for the lockers. As we arrived late we didn't want to go out - had a drink and pizza ordered from the bar at the hotel - can recommend . And was not expensive.

Staff were very friendly and polite, spoke French and English. They kindly allowed us to use a luggage storage room before checkin. The bar staff were friendly too. The room was clean and bright but comfy to sleep in with all the facilities we needed. Easy to check in and out and easy to access the hotel at all hours. Close to a Metro station too!

Although the location is great when you need the central train station, it's quite a dangerous area - pickpockets were hanging about the front of the hotel all day. Also, the luggage storage room was at only half capacity, so we couldn't store luggage there as soon as only about 8 people had used lockers. The elevators were tiny. I don't know if you could fit a wheelchair or a pram in there.

Very much the location. And Esther/Esthel from the reception was so accommodating and very helpful on giving us directions to places we want to go. One of the staff from the breakfast was a bit rude to us. We saw 1 white couple took a paper bag for their left over food to take out and when it came to our turn, this black coloured lady stopped us loudly saying that is not allowed yet she saw the white couple did it. It was a bit discriminating but instead of arguing, we just left.

IBIS is most of the location is below average with low quality...they never improved though feedbacks were given in the past....like too small rooms, low quality break fast etc., which i have been seeing since many years in Europe. Mostly i avoid IBIS...however i felt IBIS in brussels (near midi station) is really good in all aspects.
