My flight was delayed until the following evening, so instead of waiting around the airport, I decided to return to Brussels. I chose the Midi-Zuid Hotel for its convenient location—it's close to the Midi station and also within walking distance of the city center (around 15 minutes on foot). The staff is very kind

Even if the AC is present in all the rooms (probably), it is out of order, probably because of the cost. A fan is provided instead. In summer, this is surely an inconvenience. A new metro line/station is being built in the area, so be prepared to encounter a lot of construction, but this has nothing to do with the hotel, in fact.

A well maintained mid-range hotel about ten-minute walk from the main Brussels Midi-Zuid station. Friendly and helpful staff. Has a lift and the room had a good fridge that was helpful. Very comfortable double bed and the window to the garden area at the rear meant the room was quiet throughout the nights. Very good wifi to which connection and necessary reconnection were easy. Table and chair enabled easy computer use. Public transport access can be purchased with a normal credit card - super easy.

There are some dodgy characters in the area but that is typical of many central station areas and requires you to be careful and sensible. Dim lighting in the room. Massive renovations to streets outside makes area ugly and dirty. Few large supermarkets in the vicinity. Carrefour Express at the station is the best available in the area.

I really like the location just 5 mins walk from the train station Brussels Midi. The rooms really are as in the pictures. Everything was clean. The bathroom was roomy as well. The staff was very friendly. I was alone in a 3-bed room and I felt very comfortable, but I think with 3 people plus luggage it would have been a bit tight.

My room faced the main road and it was quite noisy, so I could not open the window overnight for fresh air. Even with the windows closed the noise was still pretty loud. It calmed down late at night though and I slept alright. If you are noise sensitive bring earplugs if you can sleep with them or ask for a room facing the back.

Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Bathroom looking recently refurbished. I was a bit shocked to find I didn’t have an external window - the room window looked out onto an internal staircase, with an external window high up the stairs, so it was pretty dark unless you put the light on. This didn’t matter to me as I was out most of the time, and it met the requirements of being clean, comfortable and relatively quiet to sleep in! Some noise from along the corridor at night but generally quite well sound proofed (from above/below and traffic). Breakfast was a cold buffet for €9 with plenty of choice - plus cooked eggs delivered both mornings without me asking!

The bed was super comfortable. The room was clean and attractive. The bathroom was well kept, didn't feel dated and the shower pressure was great. There was a fan in the room and we didn't have to ask. Great central location if you are looking for an overnight stay near Gare de Midi.

The view was of a fire escape, but for the price that was fine. The power in one corner of the room seemed to be off and we could not use the fridge/TV, but didn't want to. The man on reception had no suggestions when we asked what was good to see in Brussels.

It was very clean and quiet (our room was with a window to the back of the building). The area itself might not be the prettiest but it’s very close to Gare Midi and felt safe (we walked back well past midnight and felt comfortable). Comfortable bed and good shower - all very clean and in good condition. Was good value for money and would stay there again.

No surprises, the bathroom had the necessary soap and shower gel but no extra supplies, which I find unnecessary anyway. So nothing to complain here.

Conveniently situated for Brussels Midi/Zuid railway station, but nice and quiet despite the busy location. The room itself was spacious and warm, being heated by proper radiators. It was also very dark with the curtains closed, which is a bonus, as I'm a terrible sleeper. The room was spotless, as it was cleaned daily, by attentive staff.

My only niggle was the shower, and the sliding door, which was very narrow, and a struggle to get in and out of, for someone of my rotund stature.

rooms were spacious and cute for 3 people( 3 single beds), beds and pillows very comfortable. patio door and windows very well made so kept the noise from front of hotel out of room when closed. had elevator small but nice to have so you didn't need to carry suitcases up stairs. kept our suitcases when arrived early. door locked at night with buzzer for entry. very close to train station, short walk to main tourist area and restaurants

Area was not very clean, construction out front did not help. some shady looking people around

10 minute walk to Eurostar and general decent location... Good value... Staff friendly and helpful... Room looked exactly like the picture on website and was very clean, the heated floor in bathroom was ideal for drying wet shoes overnight... Not the best area but I prefer a little character, it was a mother and daughter trip and I felt perfectly safe walking around late at night with my 18 year old.. Comfortable bed... Nice to have a fridge too....

Just a suggestion, a mirror in the bedroom would be good... The mirror in the bathroom was great and had lighting but with two females sharing a room a 2nd mirror would have been useful... Also just a personal performance, two pillows each as an option would be lovely....

- Very warm shower, hairdryer, shower gel - Heating temperature can be modified, it was pleasant - Comfortable bed - Fridge - Working station (table and chair) - Fast and stable wifi internet connection - Clean (no dust, no spider webs, freshly washed towels, bed linen) Overall, it was a nice place to stay just for sleeping, showering and relaxing a bit while focusing on exploring outdoors - recommended

- The location is both a pro and con: it’s close to any kind of transportation and can be walking distance from some of the attractions, but it’s not comfortable to move near the station (both day and night) - The sound isolation is almost nonexistent. During our stay there was no one in the room next to us, but I can see how this might be a downside
