A very good hotel. Perfect location- close to the center, but quiet. Big rooms, with everything needed, beautiful windows with a gorgeous view. Good swimming pool and sauna. Despite the negative things noted, we will come back!

Not yet a 4-star hotel. Better maintainance is needed: beds are old, sometimes broken, pillows not comfortable, taps in spa zone (women dressing room) were not working well. And of couse a 4star place provides hair dryers and robes. All those things could be fixed easily. But overall the place is worth staying in.

Plenty of options for food (breakfast and dinner) and they were tasty as well. The location is pretty good, a 10min walk to the gondola. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free parking (although it was not a busy season during our trip and we found a spot, migh be a bit too full during mid season)

The walls are super thin, you can hear everything from the other rooms or the hallway (I slept with earplugs and it was fine like this) and also the water in the pool was super cold, we could not enjoy it, but we used the sauna a lot which made up for this. Overall a good experience, I would come here again.

Stayed in the *hotel* section (from what I gathered some of the rooms in the same building are effectively rented out as private apartments and experiences can be varied there). Location was great - approx 1hr from Sofia airport. Convenient for skiing - not too far from the gondola - the walk there is slightly uphill but definitely manageable even in ski boots. The chairlifts on the other side of the resort are a bit of a longer walk away, but again totally doable. There is a ski room - gear storage is 2 Lev / 1 Euro per person per day. Sauna and pool were great for recovery (included in room price). Room was spacious with a balcony to relax on after coming back from the slopes. Reception staff were lovely to speak to and helpful - we arrived very late and the restaurant / reception staff had left food from dinner for us. The value for money was very good compared to alpine hotels / ski resorts, with little tradeoff in terms of quality. Choosing the dinner at the hotel is a reasonable price option compared to the local restaurants, with the latter perhaps offering a more local, authentic experience - both are viable depending on your goal. Food was usually tasty with good variety as you might expect from a buffet (both for breakfast and dinner). Parking is available right beside the hotel (outdoors but has a roof so no snow on the car), although space can be limited. PS - if renting ski gear from traventuria, choose the rental place downhill from the hotel (Villa Park) as they have more gear there than their main shop uphill towards the gondola (Hotel Ela).

Food was sometimes lukewarm (it seemed like some of the heated trays maybe weren't fully heated), even straight from the buffet, desserts could be better (although a few were very good). Ski room wasn't massive and there were no lockers, but we didn't have any issues - the ski room is always staffed during the opening hours as there is also a rental shop there with limited gear. The room didn't have a safe. Marked down cleanliness as some aspects of the room show their age, although the conditions were still more than fine for a trip where you're spending most of your time outdoors and don't need an immaculate room.

Reception staff is very friendly and professional. Older part of my family liked much the breakfasts (my son-teenager was not so adapted to local food...). Thanks to Restaurant manager (evening hours) - we preferred to eat here than in street places - tasty, clean, good service and clear affordable prices (30 lev per person + additional menu may be ordered from the restaurant - even my son liked those courts). Comfy beds. Non chic, but sufficient furniture (it suites for a long stay). SPA (sauna + pool) is OK. Table tennis is also there - made us happy. Ski equipment room is situated in the hotel, best prices comparing to other places. Good service man will find/fix all you need on the slope. Free and safe parking. Heating works more than well, even at cold nights (-14) we reduced it to min.

My room (Apartment / Family double room for 4 persons) just passed modernization, but looks as it not fully completed... there was no kitchen equipment, even kettle (was provided immediately by reception girls), no tea/coffee, plates, etc. like shown and written. Missing towel bar, hooks in the bathroom... Both bed lights were not functioned. Besides that it was a spacy, quiet and clean room with a balcony having a nice garden /mountain /forest view. Wi-Fi is too weak, so worth to rely on eSim or local SIM. A bit far (with ski equipment..) from lifts, but we were positive and considered it as a warmup before skiing :)

he hotel itself is nice, and our apartment featured a kitchen complete with counter and cupboards, though it lacked a fridge, kettle, plates, pots, and cutlery. The swimming pool was a bit cold, but that wasn’t a major issue. One downside was that our apartment, which housed four people, only came with one key. Although we requested an additional key and were told one would be made, it never materialized over our four-day stay, which was quite inconvenient.

Central hotel, with good facilities, including bar and free pool and sauna. Reasonable prices Breakfast included and ok Rooms big and generally what you expect in ski resort.

Breakfast was just ok, although great selection Bed in our room wasn't great, the mattress was worn down where it had been sat on so felt like I was rolling off it in night. We told reception and maintenance came but didn't sort it. Cleaners on last day only changed towels, so floor was left dirty. No hairdryer in room, didn't realise until washed hair. However, reception have them you can use. Some rooms had hairdryer in bathroom.

Everyone was really welcoming to us as well as our 2 dogs. The apartment was spacious, clean, and bright. The balcony was very cosy. The food at the restaurant - tasty. Despite the parking spots right in front of the door of the hotel, there's a big enough parking at the main street where you can park for free as a guest of the hotel. It's really good value for money. We enjoyed our stay.

The elevators - there are no indications whether the elevator's coming or not, as well as inside, you never know at which floow your are as the numbers on the screen are always different 😂. The spa could be improved, too. If that's the main reason you're going, you'd probably be disappointed. The pool is not too big and it was a bit cold. The temperature in the sauna is on the lower side, too. Overall, for me, minor issues and nothing that will stop me from booking again.

Very spacious room, polite personnel, surpringly good restaurant (breakfast and dinner) with normal prices, good sauna and good location 10min walking from Rila lift and gondola.

Room needs serious renovation. Part of the curtain was missing, beds weren't very comfortable, carpet was stained etc however not at a level that didn't let us enjoy our stay.

The staff is very kind and the food tasty

The rooms have many stuff that doesn’t work well. The first room I received had the bed completely sunk and there was one door connecting to another room which filtered out every noise. Than the staff gave me another room but the hairdryer didn’t work and a curtain was missing.

It is cheap and cheerful, warm and clean. The staff are amazingly helpful and cheerful. But you are getting what you paid for and the place has not been refurbished since the 80s! And a bit battered around the edges. But a lovely stay and we will return.
