The hotel has a perfect location, close to the ski lifts for three different directions, to the nice park Pesako with night lights which leads to the centre of the resort and there are wonderful views from the terraces. Very convenient for those who seek diverse experiences beyond just SPA or ski - we consulted with the people from the adventure park in the hotel and they gave us great ideas for walks nearby. Reaching the Musala hut and lake just for 1,5 hrs by lift and short walk was a dream come true. The swimming pool is clean and large, with nice greenery around it. The steam bath and the Turkish bath are very large and well-maintained, the SPA area in general is convenient for many people and offers perfect relaxation. The massages were amazing. The lobby bar is spacious and cosy for groups of friends.

Since we visited out of the busy season, it appeared that the room was not well aired in advance which triggered my dust allergy. This was gradually adjusted but in general the room carpeting is a prerequisite for such reactions, no matter how diligent the cleaning personnel are. It was surprising that the bathroom did not have facilities for warming the towels / drying swimsuits - this could be a challenge during winter vacations. The rooms are overall modern and conveniently designed but somehow small for longer stays.

The location, the staff, the facilities (rooms, spa, fitness), the activities for children, the breakfast buffet and the nature.

There was no air-conditioning in the rooms, which in the summer even in the mountains, is a necessity. The evenings were fresh enough, but if someone next door is smoking on the balcony then it is impossible to open the balcony door. We were informed at the reception that this will be improved in the future.

The breakfast/ dinner was excellent, and the food was always fresh and just cooked. My husband and I enjoyed the food every morning and evening. The restaurant has a nice interior so that you can feel comfortable. A nice surprise was also the yoga class provided by Maria every morning at 8:30 am. We enjoyed the massages, the spa section, and the gym area. We'll come back!

I was not very pleasantly surprised to find out that some of the hotel rooms lack air conditioning, which is a must nowadays. When I made the reservation, I was in a hurry and didn't pay attention to the fact that some rooms don't provide air conditioning. It has never been a matter of consideration to choose a room with or without AC, especially in the middle of the summer season. We travel a lot, and AC is always part of the amenities.

The location of the hotel was very good. It was very close to the lifts. Ski equipment was rented from inside. Staff of this part was quite helpful. There was also a casino inside the hotel. It was a surprise for us. There were great cocktails in the bar section.

When we took the bathrobe, we saw that there was a stain in liquid form. It was very disgusting. There is a "14-year-old" rule in the spa part. Our 11 years-old daughter comes to the spa with us in many hotels. Most hotels even have children's massage options. It was disappointment. That's why I couldn't use the spa either. The service in the restaurant was very slow. Staf seems very unhappy. There was a fly in my wine glass. I asked the waiter to change it. There was no apology or sth. The waiter behaviour was like it was my fault. I wouldn' recommend.

We really enjoyed the delicious breakfast offered at the hotel, and although we didn't try the dinner option, it's great to have that available. The location is excellent, and the overall level of service exceeded our expectations.

Let’s talk about the little details that matter. The bathroom could be a bit more spacious, but honestly, it didn’t impact our stay much. A heads-up for future guests: if your room doesn’t face the slopes, the view right now is a mix of construction and raw landscaping—so manage your expectations if scenery is high on your list. On the comfort side, my only real suggestion would be about the towels. They’ve clearly seen a lot of guests, and a refresh with softer, plusher towels would really elevate the overall experience and help the hotel’s great reputation shine even brighter.

room - very nice (a little small but to no discount as to the overall hotel rating), great breakfast, great pool, nice staff, great surrounding mountains with a lot of hiking options which we enjoyed much as a family with kids (including here wonderful Musala peak and multiple paths through the beautiful, relaxing and peaceful surrounding pine forests); with a special note for Romanian fellow citizens: with no risks of facing the miserable and dangerous bears encounters like in our beloved country

the only thing that I do not like so much is that after leaving such a review (fully deserved though), it is likely to be slightly harder to get a booking in the future :)

Great hotel right next to ski center Martinovi Baraki. Rooms are relatively spacious. Staff was always helpful and friendly. Option to buy ski pass, rent ski equipment and store own ski equipment in the hotel. Spa options were also available. Breakfast had lots of choice and some variability.

Missing instructions on check-in about the ski equipment storage procedure. (Otherwise the staff at the storage room were very helpful) The restaurant "Samokovi" was rather disappointing on this visit. Menu was really small and they didn't even change it for the special Valentine's dinner. Also the beef tenderloin was a disaster.

There is no air conditioning in the room and it was very uncomfortable for us to stay. We were given a fan, but it wasn’t ok.

Perfect location - you can start skiing right from the entrance to the hotel. Ski pass and equipment you can buy inside the hotel. Good breakfast and dinner (with an amazing mountain view). We also asked for the birthday package for our daughter - and it was really great (includes beautiful cake with candles, lemonades and gift - all for extra payment). The pool was a really good activity for the evening. We and our kids (aged 4 and 10) really enjoyed the stay, and we would be happy to come back again.

Sometimes on the floor was a bit noisy but you never know in advance who will live there. Also, we arrived late and missed the first dinner. the hotel provides a food package instead, but it was really cheap compared to the price you pay for the dinner. So I wish it could be better next time.
