The perfect location, amenities and price point - all much appreciated and a rare combination. However, what made my stay memorable, was the service quality and the kindness of the staff. As a seasoned traveler, I am used to the vagaries of various locations, but what was exceptional was, that every single person working at this hotel was friendly and welcoming. At breakfast , the guests are spoiled for choice with a vast selection of food and drinks. Talking about the staff - starting with the receptionists Christine, Zlatina and Elissa, the housekeepers and the hotel manager, they are all highly professional and extremely helpful. The manager kindly allowed 2 hours checking out delay, due to my flight schedule, which made my hectic day so much easier. I can’t rate The Boutique Splendid Hotel high enough, will certainly be back and will recommend it to anyone going to Varna. Thank you for a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

Hotel location is great. Across the street from the main cathedral, 3 min away from the archeological museum and 5 min away from where the city center pedestrian streets start. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was huge and had AC.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The location is super convenient – close to everything. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and I have to give a special shoutout to Zlatina at the reception – she was really sweet and welcoming! The rooms were clean and comfy, and the hotel itself is beautiful. One of my favorite parts was the amazing view of the church – absolutely stunning! Would definitely come back. Totally recommend it!

Firstly, the staff and in particular the young woman on reception who was extremely helpful in answering my questions and giving advice. I really appreciated her assistance. Although all the other staff were friendly and helpful too. The room was clean, spacious and quiet and breakfast had a good selection of hot / cold options / cereals ad pastries. In terms of location, the hotel is very central and is situated just across from the Cathedral. I took the 409 bus from the airport and got off at Katedralata stop (approx. 20 mins), crossed the road via the underpass and was at the hotel in 2 minutes. A further 15-20 minute walk gets you to the Sea Garden and beach in one direction and a 20 minute walk to the Central Bus station and the Grand Mall in the other direction. There are also plenty of other nearby facilities / sights nearby. Restaurants, a Billa supermarket, and various museums including the Archaeological Museum, Roman Baths Archaeological Site, Retro Museum and Naval Museum all within a short walking distance.

Breakfast was fine with lots of fresh produce available. View from the room was pleasant. The hotel is within walking distance of theaters, plaza, historical sites, and the beach. It's about a 10 minute bus ride from the central bus station. The male night clerk accommodated my early arrival.

The bathroom sink emitted a high-pitched squeal when shut off. It took some manipulation to get it to stop. The toilet leaked one of the four nights I was there. The credit card system would not accept any of the three cards I had so cash was the only means of payment. Fortunately, there are several ATMs nearby. The money exchange across the street was of no help at all.

Everything at this hotel clicked for me. Great room, great location, good breakfast, nice staff... Super all round and I'd be surprised if I have a better experience of a hotel on this trip. In particular I would mention the big high ceiling that makes the room feel massive. Also, the spacious entrance/wardrobe area where I could leave my luggage was separate from the big lounge/bedroom, so that area was really uncluttered and enjoyable. I liked the view of the cathedral from my room. Staying here made me feel "rich" despite not paying a fortune.

A tiny thing that resulted from the big room was that it was sometimes a "distance" to a power point. So the cable from my PC didn't reach from the table, and from the nearest plug to the bed (for phone charging overnight) was a bit of a stretch.

The bed was large and comfortable. The view was great! The well dressed, very professional lady (with a slight Spanish accent) spoke English really was and helped us with everything we needed. That made a big difference for us.

The TV had only Bulgarian stations and one German station, but no English speaking stations.

The hotel is in a old building with a nice look. The rooms are old look decorated, greatly refurbished, not everyone's style but all looks neat and clean. Our room was huge.

Two easy fixable things and one not so much 1. We had a hole in the wall and we could see the pipeworks. Somebody should find that misplaced lid and fix this. The manager should take tours more often if the staff is incapable of offering good feedback. 2. We had only a bathtub so we used it in order to make a shower. The problem is that the curtain was mounted almost over the bathtub so you could not be able to make a proper shower without that thing sticking to your body. Please move the rail 15cm away from the bathtub for the sake of a good shower experience. 3. Parking is paid by a stupid SMS system that excludes roaming tourists. If you are not bulgarian you cannot pay. Hotel should press the city mayor on this. Varna is a tourists attraction!

Very friendly staff. Good position of the hotel.

Even though the staff was very friendly, they didn't speak very good English. We visited the hotel in February and we didn't had parking space. No-one was able to explain to us how the Public Parking worked. All the signs were in Bulgarian and after some tourists explained to us we can pay throughout an phone application, our car was clamped. We had to pay a fine to The Parking Administration to release the car. We later found out that the payment is only valid from 9:00 to 20:00, not for 24 hours.

The hotel has a very convenient location: in the city center, next to the Assumption Cathedral. The hotel is located in an old building. The embankment is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Ergonomic room, air conditioning, clean linen, kettle. There is everything for a pleasant stay! My best recommendations!
