We were actually due to fly home and our plane was cancelled so we needed a 1 night stay within easy access back to the airport the following morning. It was so very handy to be close to food and drink places. Near to the beach too. The staff at reception were very nice and helpful too, booking us a taxi to return to the airport. Also due to a cancelled flight home they let us check in early. Very much appreciated as we were so tired. We enjoyed our short time in Varna and would now like to return, will definitely look at this gem of a hotel for when we do. Thank you

Charming experience in the nicest part of the city. The hotel is impressive, artsy and unique. Burov cafe on the 1st floor is perfect, and there are great restaurants and cafes very nearby. Service was awesome, thanks to the kindness of Stanislava and Georgi. If you plan to stay in Varna- it should be your choice.

It was one of the best stays. I travel at least 5 times a year, and this stay and hotel was one of the best. The staff was willing to help and very kind. They even gave me a free parking space as I had asked for it on the same day. The room was spacious and very calm as the street nearby is quiet in the evening. The attraction park with attractions is ~1-2 minutes on foot, the beach is ~3-5 minutes, and the restaurants and nightlife are ~5-10 minutes on foot. One of the best restaurants, based on Google Maps, is just in front of the hotel. They also had some Italian cuisine with a 25% discount for the guests. The breakfast is made, and you get what they have prepared for that day. But I could not finish breakfast as it was too big every time.

The staff could work little more on their English, but everything that hat is just amazing.

An amazing building. The interior including the rooms were appointed in the style of a bygone era. Beautiful furniture, the rooms had little balconies one could enjoy. Very clean. Very comfortable. It was a true joy to stay there. Central location. Beautiful bathroom. Room service, cafe in the hotel.

It was advertised as having a wellness centre, including a spa and sauna, which was broken. I was disappointed, as I chose this place partially for this reason. Otherwise a great experience.

We loved this lovely boutique hotel. The staff took such good care of us. They even invited us to special celebration for the Feast of the Assumption. It was wonderful and made us feel like locals. So wonderful.

We were on the top floor and, sadly, the elevator was not operating. The staff, however, was incredibly helpful and took our bags up to the room for us. Any hotel can have a mechanical malfunction, we understood.

There was a gentleman who really couldn't do enough to help us. Unfortunately we didn't get his name but he was the only male working when we were there. The location was very good.

The only things we didn't like were the chairs and sofa in the room were very uncomfortable. We chose a room with a balcony but it was so small. Not enough room for a chair which was such a shame as we like to sit outside and watch the world go by.

This historic hotel is beautiful inside and out. We had a super corner room with two balconies. The decor and furnishings are luxuriously elegant and tasteful. The location is good - handy for the train station and the port where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. The fabulous Sea Gardens are no more than ten minutes walk. The hotel staff were excellent - very polite and extremely helpful.

The Entire Hotel has a perfect interior every room individually styled and functional . The shower is super hot and good pressure. Lots of coffee tea and shower freebies. The fastest check ins and outs . Exceptional high quality daily changing breakfast menu. Well socked Mini Bar . If you have much luggage the lift is a godsend . Loved my Romeo and Juliet balcony . As solo Traveller feel safe and like a second home..

I like the staff of this hotel, very nice and helpful. The hotel interior design is very nice, each room is decorated differently. Breakfast is good and has good coffee, but it would be great if you could chose fom 2 options every day (french breakfast is too sweet for my taste). There is parking in front of the hotel (15 leva/day) but the parking should be extended for more cars as there are only 5 places. We love the cats outside the hotel, they are great company and very friendly.

The bed was very small in our room, not confortable for 2 people. Should be changed to a wider bed. The cleaning was not consistent, we had 3 days in a row when nobody came to take trash, replenish shower gel, etc. When they came, the cleaning was good.

It was our second visit to Royal Hotel Varna and the fact that we returned following summer already tells a lot about how much we enjoyed our stay. If you are into a romantic trip into the past but with all modern amenities, this is the place to go. Rooms are generous, filled with light and very clean. The furniture is antique or antiquated style, but fully functional and bed comfy (on the soft side, but still allowing a good night's sleep). If you have included breakfast, they offer an interesting approach: every day they have a certain type of breakfast (English, Continental, French) and if you do not fancy their proposal you have another 2 choices to chose from. If breakfast is not included, Cafe Burov on the ground floor offers a large array of choices for all tastes. This time we also tried a massage from the varied list on offer. It was pleasant and the lady knows what she is doing. We definitely plan to return next summer.

The only small complaint regarding the stay is the fact that the doors of the antique wardrobe in room 103 where we stayed are squeaking on a very unpleasant high tone. We are certain that there must be something that can be done to fix this.
