It’s in a great location in the pedestrianised area of Varna, close to everything, shops and restaurants all around and also an easy and pleasant 15 minute walk to the railway station. The lobby area is very modern and quite classy, reception staff, both on check in and check out were friendly, welcoming, communicative and professional and both spoke very good English. The room was very comfortable with all amenities, a very comfortable bed and pillows, free tea, coffee and mineral water plus a well stocked mini bar. TV and air con too, but there was no need for me to use the air con. The bathroom was modern with good sized shower cubicle, wash basin and WC and free toiletries. There was also a small balcony with fantastic views over the city and sea. Breakfast was really good with a substantial choice of dishes, both savoury and sweet including fresh fruit. Nice choice of fresh fruit juices, tea and coffee. I don’t quite understand the negative comments about the breakfast, having stayed at a lot of hotels in Bulgaria, I’d say the breakfast was definitely way above average and very substantial. The dining room itself is on the top floor with great views over the sea and city. It’s dated and could do with at least a fresh coat of paint and I’m assuming it will be renovated in due course. However, the interior was kept clean and tidy and there are nice tables with white table cloths, the staff were efficient too. Despite being warned that there could be disturbance/noise because of renovation work, I heard nothing and everything was quiet. The room had definitely been refurbished already as had the reception area/lobby. All in all I really liked this hotel and I’d say it’s a great choice for anybody visiting Varna.

Bathroom/shower floor tiles are very slippery when wet and a rubber shower mat would improve safety. The room balcony could’ve been cleaner, as could the outside balcony areas of the dining room, although I assume this whole dining space will be renovated in due course.

The hotel was in the perfect location in the heart of the city , walk in to everything in 2 minutes ,beach ,shops,bus stops. I catch the construction going on in the hotel but i can say i couldnt even say if i didnt saw it outside guys working on,absolutle quiet. Staff ,facilities and everything was absolutely great. Many thanks to the staff that they honour my request even that was subject to availability but they honour getin the requested high floor room for me. Great room, amazing view from balcony. Very good location. Breakfast had plenty of options. Hotel itself looked very nice. Staff was friendly. Was able to leave my bag at the hotel for the day after checking out.

During check-in I wanted to pay but I was told that it is already paid through Booking.com. Next day I couldn't get into my room and when I went to reception they said that I haven't paid. Not sure whose error it was but I was the one who ended up feeling dumb.

Most of the staff, view from the room, cleanliness Breakfast variety, dining hall personell, location, minibar and electric katle, most of the time quietness, good wifi reception, proximity to all major points of interest and transportations, very good front desk service and cleaning personell.

Better mattress, Better enforcement of non smoking policy, potential smokers to place on the same floor, to check safety of canned products in the minibar (cut myself after opening peanut jur, to have a better knowledge of near by places like pharmacy and grocery store

We ate there every morning and enjoyed the food very much. I would have liked English breakfast tea bags as an option. Food was well cooked and served. Waiters were friendly and had good communication as we do not speak Bulgarian! Our daughter in law is Bulgarian and is going to help us. Busy and popular for meals throughout the day as we forgot to book one evening and couldn’t dine there.

More non smoking areas. So many young people smoking and vaping. It was sad to see and unpleasant to others.

Super location. Great views. In the centre of everything. Good restaurants nearby. Interesting churches. Near enough to walk to all the most interesting museums, such as archaeological, ethnographic. Exciting Roman remains and history of this ancient, former ancient Roman city Serdica, are very visible.

At breakfast - the coffee from the machines is not so good, would prefer fresh espresso! Also there really should be a separate machine for just hot water (for tea), because as the same machine dispenses both coffee and hot water, hot water comes out a little brown after someone has dispensed coffee.

No elevator or stairs from the parking to receprion or room's floor, you shoud make a giant walk around half building through the street. Like 5 minutes walk outside, especially bad whan it is rainy. I understant that the hotel is in reconstruction steps while it is operating, but at least 1 floor stairs to reception instead of elevator and now outsite walk around the building. Also the system with the paper pass to parking lot, just write down the car on each entry or out, and no make me save some small paper, that I should give to the security each time I am going out, and take it back when I am return. Simply manage my car number, thats all.

Location was good and central - means access to the beach areas and sea garden was good. Breakfast was good and had a range of options. Hotel staff were friendly and hospitable with check in and check out being quick and easy.

The hotel is undergoing some reservations which will make a difference - dining area needs an update and probably some smaller table options for people alone to sit.

Beautiful modern hotel in town center where is access to everything. Very close to sea and lots of shops and restaurants around. Room was very clean, modern and quite. Air conditioning working well, cooling well when outside is very hot. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Highly recommend.

The most and best impressed detail of Cherno More Hotel is; Violetta at front desk. She was so welcoming, warm hearted, positive and helpful. She will be the main reason to choose this hotel for next trip.

Urgently you must change coffee machines and brand at Breakfast I guess. Really the worst coffee which I had all around Bulgaria. And a cup of coffee means ; "The first step of starting a good/bad day"
